Description : Redo again sax volume back up a little changedFX. Redo. Redid levels. Added FX to sax. Took a little out. Changed endng. Havent added bass line yet. First attempt at Jazz. All done with loops. Took about 3 hours. I'm really starting to like this software program. Still need to learn how to import loops to the software though. I'd say it's sax with an orchestra behind it. Trevillion would say it's Like a bunch of snakes in a spoon drawer.

you ain't kiddin' sax tastic. I'm impressed, I know all your stuff is top notch but this in 3 hours with loops. I love to use sax loops but I find it hard to link them and chop em to make it sound fluent - you mastered it here. This is a great track...no amazing track - I love any kind of jazz tinkering, and the orchestral back is very cool. Kudo's Blair!!!!. peace.
funny story. Glad you liked it. I played the cello not the violin. At least I learned Twinkle Twinkle little star on it back in 3rd grade. Thanks for listening.
wow. you said all of that is loops....then im working too hard. im trying to do stuff like that without using loops. how did you find a set of loops to go together so well? It's a pretty nice sound only thing is i got on headphones and i think the sax is too loud ...might be the phones tho..but nice job.
They are loops that came with sequel.Program makes timing match up and used loops all in the same key. Messed with the volume on the sax a lot. Learned high notes are louder. And to low sounds far away. Thanks for listening.
I like the way you've got the effects on the Sax to sound as if they're bein played in a large room. The amount of reverb bouncin back is great. I could almost see this being recorded live in a studio. Or the Green Room as they call the behind stage lounge area for performers at the WSRE station here. Funny thing there is I always thought that was what they called the part of the studio that they use to add CGI backdrops. Eh, shrugs.
And the strings sound as if they are being played on stage. Excellent work, my friend!
That Jazzy sax won't get off my head. Great one... the only thinf is that I missed the bass line (Of course, I'm a bass player!). I like the way the orchestra mix up with the keyboard and the drums... Great!
I love that rhode! the sax is a little high, just a bit, but the violins are a little familar ;P but thats alright. This tracks got a really really nice flow to it
Nice job, Keep it up

Trouble with that sax. To low and it sounds far away. It's all loops. To hear something that's really me listen to "Out in the Storm" or "Rain"
Thanks for the review. I normally don't recomend any songs but sice your Gsusfrk I thought I'd mention those 2.

and I like it - damn I'm suprised alltough I never listen to this kind of music I luuv that rythm n feel they all express in their songz .. great work blair!
Hey mate...sweet tune!...love the strings...I sort of agree with Rei, it's hanging for a bass line..however I like it the way it is..sometimes when you leave out some instruments in a mix it gives it space and a different dynamic......cool and clear work!...cheers planet
Nice tune, it had me banging my head from the first beats. Chill track,a bit dramatic(violins...nice), the piano sounds great too. It's just the sax, it feels like it's being played at the other side of the room... maybee less FX on it. Apart from that, you got it right. Will you be uploading another version of it? If so, please let me know, I'm sure it will sound good, and I'd love to here the bassline.
Excellent work my friend.
Cheers S.
well, the thing with the volume of the sax is mentioned several times ....
but there's one thing that's much more important: there's no bassline!!!!!!
music like that only works with a strong and groovy bottom ...
apart from that it's a track that makes me want to jump in and jam .... and this is the best thing I can say about a song ... lol
It's a rally cool track...but like Elaine and MrE said the sax is a bit too loud...would love to hear the strings brought a bit more forward...but really nice arrangement nonetheless...
Very cool track musically speaking. The sequencing is very good and sets a great mood. The sax is overwhelming in the mix. It needs a little space to breath, a little reverb and/or a very, very light chorus would do wonders to give it some real life. Just drop the volume in the mix a little bit and you will see an incredible difference. Also consider a fade out at the end, that will help make it less abrupt and chopped sounding. But these are all technical comments. From a pure musical point of view this is a great track! Good work. Peace, Six

-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)

I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?

Slap had the sax.
Picked up this martini and this sly fox named Karina, she was from Germany, but I have already forgotten her face.
As we were leaving the club.. The sirens came from the front door, and the 5-O rushed in.
Guns Blazzing.
Hell raising in the 57 club.
I slept my last night. Lie-ing with a crazy Russian bird called Katrina...
and an empty martini.
Neither young ladies had any idea.
