Description : An attempt at a Reggae track. Took the inspiration from B sides of old vinyl that were always instrumental & a bit dubby. There is a sister track to this that is more dubby but I will have to remix it before uploading as it contains snippets from other peoples stuff. Anyway hope you enjoy this
o, brother - quick thanks to Bear to guiding me here via the latest tracks bar - and like he said, flawless - this is classic in that ya truly get the heavy paradox of dub - that suspended propulsion encapsulation recapitalization recapitulation renovation - this is one hell of a 45
Hey Michael, hope you are well my friend? I really appreciate you taking time to stop by, listen & review. I love my reggae and hope I have done it justice with my humble attempt. The echo chamber drives me forward to attempt such a dubumentous task.
Vis . . . .
Vis, I love reggae, and I really love this one. I hit the download button so fast I almost broke my finger, hahaha (thanks for the generosity). I listened to that vinyl in the 70's and you nailed the vibe.
The mix on this one is flawless.......
studio quality is what it is.
I just wish I could sing, haha. It stands on its own as an instrumental. Freaking awesome Vis. One for the favorites playlist.
Hey Bear, hope you are well my friend? Thanx for such a positive & kind review. I really appreciate it. The dub B.Sides of 45's were faves of mine as a young lad and I hope I have captured some of that in this track.

Love this kind of style & you've pulled it off with style and finesse. Lovelly basses, nice delayed sounds and snippets of funky guitar to polish it all off.
I dig the intricateness of this tune, there's loads of stuff going on and you can tell that there's been a lot of time spent on getting this one right.
i can't fault this track and it just HAS to be another download.
Cheers homie.

Hey FR thanx again for checking my sounds out. Yup I did spend a long time on this one and was kinda sad when I realised it was just about finished. Like your kid growing up & leaving home I suppose ? I could always go back though and do a 15 minute remix ha ha ! As ever I really appreciate your kind words & advice. Coming from a fellow Looper whose work I greatly admire I always feel humbled by such positive reviews. Peace, Love & Respect my main man.
been listening to tosh, marley, and the wailers since in-utero.
Have you heard of turbulence? His kind of voice would fit nicely.
Your mixing is flawless, and even with the mellow vibe, it's got a serious edge to it. The bassline and bright guitar really pull me in.
Do you do reggae often?
It seems like you really know what youre doing.
Thanx for that Doc. Such a positive vibe for one of my favourite tracks. I don't do reggae that often. I think maybe 4 of my uploaded tracks are that genre. But it's a genre I love. Been listening seriously to reggae since I was about 13. A long time now lol and I really appreciate the fact that you have felt my love of the sound. My friend your reveiw has made my day thanx.
Download :) thnx for this great tune, love this vibe, great mix to!
wunders whats this melodica sound you used at the start, haha..looking for that for long time. Thnx again visionarysoundsystem, Bless
Thanx for the great review Redgold. Glad you enjoyed the track enough to download it. The start of the track is a sample called DubK4FanOrgan (take it thats the bit uou mean? The 1st 10 seconds or so?). I have stuck some effects on it and used a melodic progression. If your intrested drop me a message and will sort it for you my friend. Respect.
I missed this one the last time I was here VSS.? sHIT THIS IS VERY GOOD .. REALLY OL'SKOOL DUB, LATE 70'S .. fRIGGING lOVE IT pAL. me & you need to connect with the Producing at some point VSS? NICE work.
Would love to connect with you my friend and bounce ideas about and see what could happen. Glad you enjoyed this and got what I was trying to acheive. Thanx for the listen & review mate. Peace, love & justice for you
Thanx for the reveiw Thyme my friend. I'm glad you got my original idea for this track. Old reggae vinyl B.sides dub version was what I had hoped to acheive and as you say lots of places in the SW & W postcodes would have had shops, pubs, clubs & sound systems playing those sort of sounds. Cheers mate for listening and taking time to enjoy
Thanx for your kind words Brent. Really enjoyed making this track and the mix was me trying to emulate producers of the 70's with lots of pan changes and bits like that. Glad you enjoyed

Description : If you ever wondered if my crazy drum machines can do also Reggae, yes they can. A totally human produced song with human made samples and loops, with no AI and "unprocessed" voices to fight the stormy Dartmoor winter mood. Just KayOS in Reggae style. Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : This track contains only free loops from several Looperman artists. I think one of my best works lately... but wonder if it's ok with headphones too - there a lot of very rough cuts. Enjoy!
Applied loops (fully or partially):
Description : Richard Shekari and I worked on this project earlier this year. I play bass, guitar, banjo, dobro and also sing on this. Richard added a cool harmonica sound and has an amazing voice. I have learned a lot from him, Richard produced this track.
Description : Took the rundown acapella from ThaSuspect, chopped'it and made a Reggae Instrumental.
Please use it to add Verses and a Chorus.
Hope you like it.
Description : A quick idea I did in one day, 2 mixes, more an exercise for myself than anything serious. Inspirations were a Peter Tosh docu for the reggae feel, a surfing vid on what a point break was for the vox, the Ace of Bass vid The Sign for the drums and Jaco Pastorius song Crisis for a bit of inspirational bass thrown in. 2 drum loops used and a vocal effect loop for the heck of it in the middle, he. Live percussion, cabasa, guiro and double maraca. Me on git, bass, vox. Here comes Summer!

Description : NEW - 2014 - I used a few samples from sterixx called riddim.
And one from seanmccuaig called vocal beat.
I used some lyrics from an older song by myself. It was more a dark wave song befor but i realy enjoyed it to sing and produce it in reggae style.
