Description : Some SP-606 sampler hip-hop beats today. The old SP samplers make gritty boom-bap style beats better than anything else I reckon. Chop up and flip. Just turn up the compression and lo-fi FX and you get Instant grit and dirt. These loops are named after streets in West Melbourne.Search Rating : 11.75

Description : Using the MC-505 groovebox with the SP-606 sampler (mostly for the FX units) to record some top loops. I have played in some hits live as the recording was happening to give an off-grid groove to the loops. FX are just delay and tumbling delay (with a touch of plate reverb from my mixer).Search Rating : 11.75

Description : Just more drum machine action. This is mostly the SP-606 with some added claps action from the MC-505. The rumble is from the RD-9 wave designer through a lot of reverb and filter.Search Rating : 11.75

Description : Continuing my drum machine odyssey by trying to learn every famous pattern (impossible of course but anyway) so that I can program my drum machines with more variety and panache. This pattern is the basic boom bap programmed into my SP-606 sampler with the vinylizer and compressor turned up. The drum hits are all sampled from 80s hip hop records and processed on the SP.Search Rating : 11.75
Description : RD-9 for the kick itself and the clap. SP-606 for the hats, with a janky swing effect on them. The whole lot is recorded through an overdriven and compressed pair of inputs on the mixer. No computer FX added.Search Rating : 11.75
Description : I'm spending a lot of time on drum machines at the moment. This loop is from the SP-606 boosted in Ableton with Drum Snapper. Fairly famous pattern too...Search Rating : 11.75
Description : Roland SP-606 Sampler. Using the feedback ripper FX to make a polyrhythm that would be near-impossible to play or program. Then I filtered the result through my FX array. Comes to life when layered with other on-grid percussion.Search Rating : 11.75
Description : MC-505 through SP-606 flanger and reverb. Marching snare pattern,Search Rating : 11.75
Description : The RD-9 can do a fair stab at an 808 style kick I reckon. Added Edge bleepy noises and some Roland SP-606 vinyl crackle and this brand new beat sounds like it was recorded from a 1990s record. No computer FX added.Search Rating : 11.75
Description : This hard kick was recorded from my RD-9 into an overdriven channel on my mixer. Sub bass rhythm is from the Edge. Bonus vinyl noise from the SP-606. All captured in one take no vst effects at all. Industrial!Search Rating : 11.75
Description : This beat is my MC-505 plus my SP-606 working together to make a lo-fi industrial hip hop style beat. Very gnarly.Search Rating : 11.75
Description : A lardy break from me, made to sound like it was sampled from an old record. This loop was made using my SP-606 sampler, which has excellent vinyl simulation and nice compression on the master for overweight beats. The free 606 loops, samples and sounds listed here have been kindly uploaded by other users for your commercial and non-commercial use on a royalty free basis (subject to our terms and conditions).
