Description : This is my RD-9 sampled into my SP-606 with the master compressor turned up to eleven. Fat in your face kick for techno. The compressor in the 606 is the best compressor in the Roland SP range imo.

Description : Got a new drumkit for my sampler so I cranked out a new beat. This one is kinda dubstep style but slowed down a lot to make an industrial urban vibe. Made on SP-606 recorded into Reason.

Description : Using Kong today, mostly to work out how to get the damn pads on my Launchkey to play the pads on the on-screen sampler (which is automatic in Ableton Drum Racks...good one Reason). The secret was custom pad mapping through the Novation Components app. Finally Kong is like my SP-606 to use. I'm rambling ... enjoy the drum loop.

Description : Juno-D running through the FX engine on the SP-606; compressor and chorus. The reverb is just from my mixing desk. Simple lead layer that works well if you filter it in slowly over another layer such as a pad. In the track I am working on this comes in over a Virus C layer and creates forward momentum.

Description : This loop was fun to make. Lo-fi recording then chopped up into bits in the SP-606 sampler and layered with a 909 kick for extra punch. Could work well as a bridge in a hip-hop track.
