These are the first ever recordings I did under the name of Mulchefye. I just got an Akai 1722L from Quebecois country music legend Tex Lavallee (http://www.texlavalleeproductions.com Hi Trigger!!! Want some sugar cubes) so I am slowly going thru old tapes from waaaay back. All these crappy quality lo-fi tunes were made back in the early 90s before I ever got my hands on a four track; these two songs I am uploading this morning were recorded entirely with old school Sony Tapecorders, twin tube models from the 1950s hehehe...no apologies do i make for tape degradation, these trax r OLD man plus some of these reels have been through fire n flood...this particular song sounded better backwards so I mastered it that way. Description : Chill track that loops, and could loop forever just like life - hence, "another day." I had some fun laying in the finger snaps, claps, cymbals, etc.; I like that intricate stuff, but very tedious on Audacity, and that's where the loop idea came in. Anyway, hope you dig a little chillin'. (Oh yeah - the "another day" vocal is from a 1950s radio show.)
Description : I should be committed. Spent many hours putting this weird piece together when I should have been making money (alas) and then in a fit of self-recrimination deleted the Audacity files (plus, was running out of disk space bcuz of dozens of huge, half-finished loop comps). Just listened to the mp3 , which I'd saved, and still dug it, despite myself. The main vocal is from a 1950s radio ad (tho Biotex, apparently, is still on the market today). The "bridge" (if you will) vocal is from a '50s radio show (forgot the name). I love that line - "lovely because it's sooo lonely." Well, if you like weirdness like I do, just soak.

I found the Acapella track by TrixStar when looking for a couple verses that would match my instrumental I had been working on for a while. The instrumental is an improvisation over a piece by L.v. Beethoven best known as "Moonlight Sonata".

Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
