on your name is a mystery that I know by ElenaSatine
Much better than the Dwarves, which I liked as well. The bell seemed a bit odd at the end, but this track has a great direction.

Your sound here is much better than some of your older things, drums sound better as well. The only thing that sounds odd is the tone the guitar changes to. Sounds too thin for what you're playing. Overall, a friggin sweet piece of riffage!

I like the acoustics. Not a fan of auto tune. This one was impressive. Liked it more and more as it went on. Vocal outro is awesome!!!

Orange are the best. Songs a bit repetitive but not bad at all,... just disappointed with your citric hating. Next you'll say the green Jolly Ranchers suck as well.

FACE MELTING!!!!

I agree 100 percent with earlier 2 posts.

You filled this one with maelstrom of sweeps and cascades. LOVE IT!! Your guitar tone is fantastic, the tone I will chase forever. It's just awesome.

If your music is a waterfall, mine is the guy off to left pissing in the lake. After listening to this, I turned off my DAW for the night. Can't top that.

Excellent, even more so than usual.

on What does it take to get you in the mood by evilarmy83
More crunchy badassery. I like the progression, sounds like if would be very interchangeable in other tracks from you. Very nice.

My only real beef is with the effect on the drums. It makes the kit sound like it's under water. Doesn't compliment your six-string prowess.

I'm going to try Eds' advice and mess with sony acid and see if I get better results. The crappyness/decrease in quality happens when I mess with the tempo and pitch, pretty cheesebally. But ya duderino im slowly but surely inching closer to investing in a more professional and organized set up and hopefully from there things will be more badasser :) Thank you for commenting,

Goo Goo Dolls is what this reminds me of. They've made millions.

With vocals, this could have a lot of character. Now it is a solid place for a good vocalist to start. Very nice indeed.

It's good that you eventually worked out that I meant I'd only favourited 27 other people's tracks. I thought it was fewer, until I checked.

I very rarely listen back to any of them though I still think they're all good or very good.

Here are some of my favourites that you should check and show some love:

Tool-esque riff you may recognise(see my track comments):

Easily the best comedy song I've heard this year:

Some fucking cool chill(hip)hop:

If you don't like even one, I shall call shenanigans on you...

I have 38, and each track of yours blows all of mine away. Superior sound quality, much more creative and experimental, a ridiculous array of instruments and some very well thought out programming.

Something seems very wrong. I'm calling Shenanigans here.

My only guess is that it's because sometimes,(more often than not, actually) the ending is missing due to upload restrictions. That's all.

"each track of yours blows all of mine away. Superior sound quality, much more creative and experimental, a ridiculous array of instruments and some very well thought out programming."

Well, I'm hardly going to disregard that, am I?

Thanks very much. I've given quite a bit of thought to what my music would sound like if I only had a bass guitar and OKish drums to program. I can't imagine I'd do as good a job as you, not least because I can't play the bass as you do. But I guess I'd be a lot better at it if that's pretty much all I had.

Just as well I don't have those limitations on my party barge.

Regarding the "ridiculous array of instruments", you know I only play guitar, bass, banjo and keyboard? The other instruments are all synth-based. Would like to get and play more actual instruments but never seem to get round to it.

I'd never thought about how many times people have favourited my tracks before you mentioned it though I do have a lot of tracks on here and some have about 6 or 7 favourites so maybe it's a 100. Not sure and it really doesn't matter.

I call shenanigans on you!

Almost a lullaby. Very nice strings and arrangement here and it left me wishing the track was longer. Every one of your tracks is at least an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. I envy that. My tracks are almost hitting a 5 on that scale. You impress me always.

Best wishes, and safe futures.

This one almost seems to sum up your sound. The triplet sisters together would probably be and great demo for getting a studio behind your music and mastering your stuff.

There are some pretty dense walls of sound in this one, almost too much at parts, but it is quite, quite good.

Can't add much to what Crucethus said, I think he nailed it, as did you. Blatant Bad-Assery.

Evan
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 16th Jan 2014 - 11 years ago
Yo. Who the hell are the triplet sisters? Are they three sisters who all do mastering? Conjoined triplets who ride the faders of a massive mixing desk? That's thirty fingers they've got there.

Damn dense shit in the first few mins. Some of my most intense ever though I do have a way heavier track than this that I could upload now to cause maximum brick-shittery but I'm waiting to extend it a bit more (it's kind of what I do).

Thought you might like the metal drums and some of the big tom work in those first few mins.

I agree that this kind of sums up my sound, though it's not very electronic - more psychedelic rock. And no real hip hop though there is funk.

Quite possibly some dark, guitarless electro will be the next upload.

Good to hear from you, more advice coming soon.

Thanks you for listening and commenting, and for forgiving my faults. I like autotune sometimes because of the artificial sheen which it adds to things. I'm going to try to use it less in the future though. I appreciate the feedback!

on Win or lose DEMO by Kikajon
The songwriting is solid. Recording has some unneeded static and fuzz, possibly from the guitar, and things are not as clear as they should be, but it was a solid song. Vocals sound best when they are not straining, in the verse parts. Good song, keep it up!

Bass line and tone is fantastic, as well as the guitars. This is like Prog Gospel. Drums are very Portnoy. Snare sound is a bit muffled sounding. If Liquid Tension Experiment did a gospel it would be close to this. Love the ending. Very nice.

ScottB55 replied 10th Jan 2014 - 11 years ago
Hey, thanks allot, Evan. That's a good description for it, Prog Gospel! Thanks for the Mike Portnoy reference. Quite high praise. He's one of the greatest. Yeah, the snare could be stronger, but it was already peaking at this level, so didn't want to push it to overdrive.

Cheers,
Scott

Very Slim Shady vocals. Nothing NEW being done here. You are doing a very good job of talking down to the listener and discrediting human potential.

The music is solid. Nothing wrong with it at all. Sounds like a drum loop and a single keyboard setting. Simple yet effective.

I have no problem with religious lyrics when they are uplifting and about life, not when they're judgmental.

Looperman has a lot of good people who care enough to help you make your music better, they've helped me. My bit of constructive criticism is more positive, praising lyrics instead of a better-than-thou approach. Turns the listener off.

Ferryterry does have some nice tom-work loops I've used.

This is rougher than a mummy's vagina, but you can tell where it's going and what it is meant to be.

Your music deserves better software for recording. The potential is staggering.

No comments on this in two years, shame. This is a good one.

I enjoyed the choir sounds and the guitar.

2:01 has a great lead line, very fitting.

The whispering is a little creepy, nice!

Love the sustained note in the ending.

This is a solid track that deserves solid vocals. Kudos.

Not a fan of any rap, but your delivery is VERY pleasing to the ears. The lyrics are a bit non-sensical at times. I believe that your voice is capable of conveying some very deep and "Felt" lyrics. The beef stick stuff cracked me up, but the serious, thought provoking lyrics is where you shine.

Why link this in Spivkurl's comments? This has no relevance to his track what so ever. Seeing the comments with BMXjimmy, I'm surprised anyone bothers to give ANY feedback. His offer to help would be answered with a simple "No thanks". This is not the place to be hateful. Just say no if you don't want help from someone, it's understandable.
