Love the white noise in the intro. Bass is amazingly dynamic in the mix. The Rap reminds me of early early "Aussie" rap like this...

very interesting and nice professional mix.

Cru. Thanks for checking this out. Glad you noticed the dynamics of the bass (it is quite dynamic). Amazing how a track can become far more dynamic when compression is used to your liking. Just having fun making traX here in NC.

Very Eclectic and nicely done. I love when artists on this site are not afraid to reach out and go for it , sometimes. Avant Garde and very cool. The Dubstep section was unexpected.

Thank you. I like to throw a few surprises into apiece. This one has a lot of unusual elements. I hope it is not too strange.

Very nice song, I do agree that the VST takes away the human element which would drive this song so much more emotionally. I can see why you love thissong though, brilliant chord progressions.

Thanks Cru. This is one of my new favorite songs done by Pentatonix, so I just had to do a piano version of it. Since they only use their voice, and no other instrument, it was possible. Thanks again!

Gritty, Dirty, Driven and just down-home-style rock.. loved it. Awesome groove. as I listen to this my head is shaking up and down to this beat. It needs a Chris Cornell like vocal to complete this.
great work

on From My Heart -RnB Freestyle by TuneDef
Okk Agree with other comments. very good song you need to back down the gain on the vocals and eliminate or minimize the reverb if you can. When I first started recording I was so wary of my voice I used to try to hide it with verb and chorus but I have learned there are other ways to make you sound awesome on this song. If this is mixed and mastered properly you would have a very nice song..

Totally agreed gaining knowledge takes time and effort, plus the experience of hands on...first hand knowledge trumps all....there's no magic button you press and suddenly it's there...I have less than a
Year of recording...and have owned my first mic less than that. I appreciate and need feedback, but it offers me nothing if it's not gear to my learning curve...

hi, thanks for your comments.
I just made another remix (the last one) and updated again this track! - it's quite nice too, a bit in a breakbeat manner. I started again from scratch.

First notes of that harmonica made me feel like on was on a moving train in the prairies. Your voice reminded me if I combined Dylan with Dan McCafferty of Nazareth fame. gruff gritty and emphasizing the consonants.
Nice work Gentlemen

on Maybe Now by clindsay
Ok where do I start. First and foremost good job, the eclectic nature of this tune makes me smile as I love to do the same thing. The intro was eerie, spooky and full of good things even if her voice is just slightly out of tune it adds to the dissonance of it. Your chord structures were gorgeous, again with a diminished chord stuck in the riff just made it for me. The use of a few styles throughout the mix was nice as well. My only complaint (small one) is I would like to hear a more complex percussion added to this one.
Otherwise brilliant song

Thanks Cru - I appreciate the listen and the kind comments. I take your point on the percussion but I tried to keep it dancey - I'll try some variances and see if I can add better percussion.

nice double post:) - thanks again! maybe I will develop or edit this song soon. I wanted to make some sweet and liquid electronic drum and bass but finally this is an instrumental fusion (as always) - probably my second attempt on dnb ever.

Very cool deep house. It's like one very long denouement with no climax. Almost as if the song to come after will be the release. Keeps you listening for that moment. Clever Idea.

on Angel and a Demon by MOONLYTE
Great work my friend I love the electiveness of all of it. I think if Static Nomad reviews this he will comment on the reverse cymbals. ;-)
I love how it changes dynamically. Mixing wise I thing you may have used a bit too much low pass filter on this and maybe a bit more EQ is needed. The drums are awesome in this one and I wouldn't listen to any one who says to remove them. Epic Job my friend.

A Beautiful Day Indeed!. I love the Fret-less Bass work. Raw Vocals reminds me of Joni Mitchell in some ways. Then that awesome guitar. I could see Tumbleweed loving this one. Then the Harmonies just cemented this one for me. Great Job!

Thanks for your detailed comments. Lacey indeed has great vocals, and she can do harmony on the fly. Badhuman cemented the original guitar work, and did some stellar work with it.

on Starlight Soaked Bud Nova Burst Mix by visionarysoundsystem
Intro Pan was extraordinary. Had to listen again. love the bass line. Sly & Robbie are the standard I judge all dub tracks. And I feel a bit of there influence on this one. guitar is just perfectly placed in the mix. love the Rhodes as well. The only thing I would like to hear in this is maybe a phased synth. other than that nice work gentlemen.

Thanx Crucethus. I grew up listening to dub B.sides and Sly & Robbie were often the rhythm section on those tracks so yup doubtless a bit has rubbed off on me. Thanx for the comment my friend. Maybe a bit of phase on a remix . . . .

Thanks a lot Steve. It's really nice to hear you enjoyed this track. I am happy you had a chance to hear developed version - the song was initially quite simple. After reading the MWRatridge comment I thought of reworking it again but didn't know how to make a progress - DanceDemagogue sent me today his remix - my new version is based on his work.
I really like minimal-music. Probably the 'Variations for winds, Strings and Keyboards' by Steve Reich http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xb6vtl_variations-for-winds-strings-and-ke_music will be my favourite ever - I can't remember how many times I was listening to this.

There's a lot of things happening along the track now so I do not know if it's 'minimal' anymore, but of course it still can be, if needed...
Thanks for your time and nice comments on this track - it's always appreciated. Alex

on Willful Ignorance by Spivkurl
I would call this Aceed-Step. As it has elements of old school dub-step and even older school aceed (acid-house) with a sprinkling of Electro. Super Creative and spivtastic (A new word to secribe great electronic music)

Hey Steve, thank you very much for your comment on this track! I really can't claim to know much about old school dubstep, I just took a ride on the wave (2012-2013) for a little while and then nearly lost myself in the undertow. Acid though I've been enjoying for quite a long time. I like the acid from the early 90's and the early zero's especially, but I can't help but listen to new stuff when it comes up. Coming from someone who knows their classic electronic music well, your comment pleases me! Appreciate it!
