Ok you got me at gothic 3;) Your style reminds me so much of Edwyn Collins. See all the great that comes from experimenting? I'm going to have to watch some John Carpenter movies when I get home tonight. Been listening to a ton of gothic metal instead of watching movies lately.

I only know one song by Edwyn Collins and that's "Never met A Girl like You", so he must be influencing my style through some kind of musical voodoo. Remind me to put a circle of salt around my mic stand.
And you should definitely watch some John Carpenter tonight. In my opinion, The Thing is the best horror movie ever! Have fun :)

on Modnex - FairyTime - Dark Limbo by Modnex
I once saw singing fairies. They were called The new kids on the block and they flew all around the stage proving fairies really do fly ;) Very cool, definitely has a fairy vibe to it. Love celtic themed music and the legends revolving around it. Here's a fairy tune for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oskYL3VlIq4 I love Wayne's idea of getting a school choir involved! I work at an elementary school now as a custodian and want to donate some of my homemade cigarbox guitars to them for education.

Thanks Phatkatz! I love Celtic music too. It's so amazing to listen to and definitely does a great job at taking you back in time through music. That's a pretty great piece of music you linked. I can visualize a 1700's camp site with women and children dancing around a camp fire.

Donating musical instruments you created yourself for education purposes would be pretty great. I think the children would most definitely love it.

Thanks for stopping by,
take care.

I think someone added a little something to the fruitcake! The pic definitely reminds me of the the three kings story, and that looks like an abstract baby in the red at the bottom. What kind of gifts were they bringing anyway?! Merry Christmas Dan :D

We thought Van Helsing was lurking about waiting to jump us!
Spot on with the MT Powerdrums, I see you've been honing your skills as a psychic.

on Ghost Guitar by DanGoldstein
I could see Igor's description! Aliens land somewhere in the nevada desert and this guy is sitting on his big front porch with a guitar watching it all. Kind of like critters. I had an idea quite a while ago for a similar story in the appalachian mountains where 2 hillbillies are sitting on their front porch jamming on a banjo and acoustic guitar when a saucer flys over head and crashlands. They go investigate and get vaporized. I love the additions! Now if we just beat Joe hahahaha

I don't know of any other cello music like, originality is a beautiful thing! You can get some fkn cool sounds out of that cello. I've bowed some of my cigar box guitars and gotten really neat sounds, some very similar to a cello. I think I'm still feeling the effects of that spiked punch from Cru's All Hallow's Eve rave!
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 19th Oct 2016 - 9 years ago
Sure, I didn't really expect anyone to know of any other cello music like this. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything even vaguely similar.

"You can get some fkn cool sounds out of that cello."

I can though they're not to be confused with some of the acid arpeggiated synths though I guess they may be layered together in such a way that something here that is a synth might be confused for a cello.

"I've bowed some of my cigar box guitars and gotten really neat sounds, some very similar to a cello"

Yes - that's the bowing you're hearing. I sometimes make my cello sound a lot like a guitar but that's mostly been when applying distortion. Then you're really just hearing the distortion and associating it with guitar, which is where you tend to hear it.

I have not heard Cru's All Hallow's Eve rave.

Thanks again.

I liked playing Let the Bodies hit the floor really loud in traffic especially when stuck next to an older couple, but I think I like this better :p Very punk rock like, *breaks stuff* On your way to a gig or to have your mohawk respiked and dyed? Geesh, road rage! LOL! Awesome, always good to try new styles -:D

Very cool Cru, loving All Hallows Funk this year! Does have that dark melancholic feel I love so much. Those psychoactive drugs are really kicking in now! Who spiked the punch? The grateful dead once played a warehouse and spiked the punch with lsd, when the cops came to shut them down they fed them some punch :p

crucethus replied 19th Oct 2016 - 9 years ago
Were getting together a massive collection of Halloween music this year coming from all directions. With my music you don even need the punch spiked to go off on a trip.
thanks for the props.

on Wobbin - HELLoween Themed techno mini-mix by Wobbin
I'm going to need some new zombie skin boots, after raving a few nights in a row I passed out from exhaustion and some a$$hole stole them! If you see 'em make the thief add them into the stew! Catch any boobies yet? I picture a really big zombified troll like dude in a cave off to the side of a rave standing at a big black cauldron set on a fire with arms and legs sticking out (clothing, shoes and all), stirring up some tasty stew. Mmmmmm Seconds plz!
Wobbin
Wobbin replied 13th Oct 2016 - 9 years ago
LOL your imagination seems to know no boundaries.
My biggest motivation to go for techno with my ideas is actually this: https://youtu.be/gHBhKbF2xMA

I did not catch any boobies yet in my progression :( I did manage to find some time to do a bit of editing and mixing in the existing parts but have not extended the mix yet. I hope to do so this weekend and also add some nice scary booby traps in the theme i've set in the above.

One big scary rave it is

That which is and should not be, thing that lies beneath the sea. Ancient evil eternal lies, with stranger aeons never dies. All hail the great Cthulu!! Is this a field recording of your trip to R'yleh? I love the underwater ambience. The ocean, the last frontier. We have thoroughly explored just about every corner of this earth except the depths beneath the sea.

on IceAge Raver - Halloween edition by SonnyChapelle
Hmm not sure about the blood sample, I'd be pumped dry! So how many were thrown under the train for entertainment? I like that intro. Look at that crowd of walking corpses bouncing all around, just make sure they don't get too close to the fire, zombie torches are very very bad! Hahaha that end! Reminds me playing Tomb Raider when she'd fall from really high heights. So they drooped dropped someone instead of a ball at the stroke of midnight? Seems appropriate, must have enough fresh meat on hand to spare dropping a few more for entertainment purposes 3:D>

Blues is some of my favorite music B-D Very cool what comes out just noodling around. Now you need yourself a nice cigar box guitar to noodle on ;) I love the blues git 74 setting in guitar rig, got that old fashion dirty sound. I should play some blues bass for you. Feeling very relaxed after that, so now how am I supposed to record metal? hahaha

*Slips on zombie skin raving boots and werewolf fur coat :p Oooh Like that opening with the church bell. They say you used to hear corpses exploding underground in church yards as the bodies decomposed and gasses built up bloating the body. I'm liking this danse macabre. If you want some ambience to add to the graveyard atmoshere, freesound is an excellent site for free sounds. I love using an old gate creaking like entering and owls hooting setting the night scene. Looking forward to more as it's a wip :D

SSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH don't give away my source!!!
hahaha I think pretty much 90% of all my spooky sounds came from there.

I would like to add some more freaky moments throughout the rest of whats coming. Like 3:15. A knife sound and scary dude unexpected middle in the track. While it does sound perfect with the music :D
