on If You Don't Love Me by iez13
Very nice.
The voice reminds me of the a guy called morrissey ... front man of a British band called the Smiths.
At first listen he can sound a bit depressing but his songs were packed with humour.

on Transformers - Knights by Billydragon1
Mister Dragon!
Where have you been?
You have been missed.
That magical voice of yours and those spiritual messages!
This little number is stinking of trouble and strife.
Much tension.
Danger ahead.
Is that hope I hear struggling through at the end?
Lets hope so ......

Hey brother Silver. I still drop in now and then. Been taking a break from music, and have been feeding my mind a lot lately, with Fitness and Calisthenics, and other endeavours. Updating my Pc to windows 10 also has created a lot of strife with my DAW. But thanks for dropping by, and yeah lets hope this new Transformer movie outdo the previous 4. My latest track on my page is quite deep if have a listen. All good brother. Stay courageous and true!

Hi silverman. Thanks for the listen and comment. You must have read my profile, which is quite old. I still work in Audacity to write the songs and orchestrate the loops in a full composition. But then with Sunny we've recorded in a studio - I save all the tracks as separate wavs, we load them up in ProTools and off we go. I couldn't produce this level of quality at home with Audacity. So I got back to spending $ on production because I had to. Thank god we finished the Sunny Sessions a couple weeks ago because I just got laid off, so no more $ on music. But we're done and you can check out all 55 tracks at thesunnysessions.com if you like. Thanks!

Nice little number.
Reminds me of someone and I can't think who.
It'll come to me and I'll let you know.
Using audacity must be a bind.
It's an editing suite more than a song compilation set up.
Ever tried acid?
Acid 7 markets at around a hundred and fifty hundred and seventy five dollars.
Go on Amazon .... quickly because when people see this there'll be a mad rush ... acid 8 is round fifteen dollars and does more or less the same thing.
It won't recognise USB midi only the old fashioned MIDI in out sound card thing.
But loops and line in are all there.
I'm amazed you could produce this well on Audacity alone.
Another one is Magix who have actually bought out Sony Acid. They do a free one no time limits but I think it's only eight tracks.
Powerful software though.
If you can be this good on such meagre resources I look forward to you getting better gear.

I was thinking of you and this track yesterday when listening to a guy on here who's getting paid for doing this.
I was thinking hang on a minute Mister Mud is way in front and it's he who should be getting the money.
Sorry other guy but that's the way the wind s blowing.

ps: some stuff you hear on the radio is so bad and you just cant understand how they make money with it :p

THC in large quantities!
Reminds of being a head banging hippy way back when.
I was of course a trippy relaxed hippy too ... now and again.
Reminds me of something from back then but I can't put my finger on it.
Wizard someone says ... yeah I can see that.

Did not like the opening but then this magical tune appeared and I was able to leave the opening behind.
But then I get to the ending and suddenly the opening was perfect.
Great tune very well put together.

on Requiem for a Surf Movie by Planetjazzbass
This is well cool.
This is summer.
This is music!
Not to keen on that long intro with sound effects.
This is way beyond needing such sound effects.
The title sets the mood/scene perfectly.
Absolutely love it.
Favourite.

Planetjazzbass replied 22nd May 2017 - 8 years ago
Hey Silver thanks man, a very generous review mate!...The intro is intentionally long (though I agree if I was performing this it would be cut right back) as I've been watching a lot of short surfing vids on youtube and have been in touch with a few surf filmakers (with the intent to get them to use some of my music) the indications are that artistically an extended intro gives time to set up the theme and continuity for the films, with stills, montages and heaps of slow motion...thanks again for your time mate!..cheers Dave :)

on Gilbert Carrizales Ft Kay Lynn - Crave by GilbertCarrizales
You get paid for doing this!!!!
It's not bad.
Just had a watch of you on youtube doing a live bit in Texas. You are certainly enjoying yourself ... and getting paid so you must be doing something right.
Gotta be honest I don't think you're streets ahead of quite a few guys on this site and the vocals aint so hot on this track but you know what .... all power to you.
You're making a living enjoying yourself which has to be a winner.
How come this long forgotten post has come back up now years later if you don't mind me asking?
Being an old fart means I never really understood this dj thing. Back when I was young a dj put records on now they are the stars of the show!
Again being an old fart my idea of hell would be getting dumped in one of those club events!
Keep at it you're obviously winning.

Love this.
Refreshingly different than the norm around here.
I don't find this weird.
I'd have put it in pop!
Sounds fantastic and put together really well.
It's been on this site for years and I'm glad it resurfaced again so those of who missed it got the chance to listen.
Brilliant I love it.

There's a great little something going on here being let down a little with the mastering side of things .... I think.
I'm still learning this stuff myself so can't always with confidence say what's wrong.
Something isn't quite right.
If this were mine I'd keep working on it because there is a great little something going on but not quite making it through.

Hello!

Thanks for the feedback!
I think i know the problem : it's simply me. Specifically, my guitar play. I made it just for fun, because bored my daily training. I want to do something more entertainining thing, so tryed if can make something with my actual skills. With a cheap Epiphone stratocaster, 3 months old strings, i just tried to make some basic melodies just for fun. The pickups are cheap single coils and within a few meters, there is my computer and several power cables and connectors nearby - the result is a lot of noise.
Even forgot to tune my instrument before recording, and playing with bare hands, hehe. :)
And a sad fact : after 10 months, i still can't play on guitar. What you hear is under any quality. With the other loops, you can't hear them cleanly so it sounds a bit weird, but alone... it's terrible guitarplay (way too bad for upload). :D
Because that, i think no man in the world who can save it, so this tune is such as is it. :)

Regards, traz

on Neon Tokyo - My study of Cyberpunk by Allochtune
I've even listened twice because I can see it is well put together and I'd like to get past my prejudices but nope.
This time I sat and closed my eyes and right from the off I sensed a game show host with slick hair a neon smile and dancing girls in sparkly shoes aimed at the average family and remembered why I got rid of my telly twenty years ago.
I didn't get all the way through.
Sorry mate but Simon says no.
Allochtune
Allochtune replied 20th May 2017 - 8 years ago
You probably think that this is something that would disappoint me, but you have made me happier than you'd think. I am sorry that it reminds you of unhappy thoughts, but I have modelled it on a genre that is a reflection of consumer society. It wonders how to deal with multiculturalism and the downsides of technology. In this song, I have basically surrendered to that feeling and I went with the flow. It ended up a lot more cheerful than I was planning on. I had the concept of neon signs in mind and I went through with it.

But, unfortunately the song in its nature is the exact opposite of what you are. But still, I am glad that it triggered the feeling that I tried to transfer. Thank you for your story and your feedback :)

PS: Also, I am really glad that it sounded professional to you. Thanks!

on Neon Tokyo - My study of Cyberpunk by Allochtune
I'm coming from two sides at this one ... one of which you probably won't like but here goes.
It is very well put together.
Professional even.
You obviously know how to produce music.
The downside for me is it is absolutely soulless.
A bit like the consumer society I feel so uncomfortable living with as I see it devour the planet and its inhabitants.
I was born in a big town did the city living but now live in the mountains.
I am happiest amongst trees and rivers.
To get me anywhere near a neon world you'd have to drag me.
So as you can see I'm biased in the extreme.
Last time I visited London I was convinced I was in an open asylum.
Couldn't wait to get back to my mountains.
So I see a soulless lifeless work of the consumer mentality from a very good producer.
50/50 from me.

on Drone by MusicGoddess
From the title I presume your intention was to create a monotone drone?
Why?
Is it something to do with a style or are you planning on adding to it later?
I ask about style because being a wrinkly I'm out of touch with all these genres and not up to speed with latest styles and ideas.
When you say needs a rapper is that because the rap would more easily become the focal point?
The vocal becoming the main instrument if you like?
MusicGoddess
MusicGoddess replied 19th May 2017 - 8 years ago
Thank you for inquiring so deeply! :) I titled it "drone" thinking of the type of drones that one flies. Nothing to do with musical drone sounds actually. lol.
I would like to add a rapper just to round out the track, but I do believe the track stands well on it's own. :) Thanks for the comments!

That intro!
I'm thinking surely they must have noticed how muffled the vocal is and before I've finished thinking it the vocal blossoms.
Very neat.
I don't know the song but this is very well put together.
