Great voice!
There's an 80's electronic feel to this.
Kraftwerk maybe.
This has so much potential.
Not sure if it's my ears me headphones or because I'm extremely tired but there seems to be a little bit of mastering not quite right.
Cracking track over all though.
Apart from the ending which is .... rubbish!
Sounds like a power cut!
Great work though.
Thank you! Mixing and mastering isn't quite done, so may still be some mistakes. And yeah I'm going to play with the end haha, but was starting to like the idea that the plug was just pulled from it. Any suggestions to make the ending/whole thing a bit better?
This is fantastic.
You have a superb voice that reminds me of someone from years ago that I can't put my finger on.
I think it needs a little more editing/mastering but I'm saying no more because this is way above my pay grade to be messing with.
Beautiful song.
Thank you! FYI, I started using LANDR online mastering and love the convenience and cost - $300 for unlimited mastering for a year, much better than the service I was using. If you're referring to a little zip that occurs, that's part of the guitar sound and I decided to leave it. If you're referring to something else in the mix, ah well - these tracks are probably locked down forever. There are definitely imperfections in the songs but I'm glad you respond to the overall sound. (I think there are lots of someones from the past in this sound...) Thank you!
Can't say I'd put this in the electronic box.
It is such a cool sound though!
I think I probably agree with everyone else so far re the things it reminds them of.
I'm convinced this would sound fantastic with the right vocalist the right lyrics.
No rapping just brandy glass cool.
Please do carry it forward very interesting vibe.
Love the 'brandy glass cool' comment and really pleased that you enjoyed the vibe.
Yeah, I know it's probably in the wrong category. But I'm a newbie....which category would you suggest, and how would I do it...
I too am convinced this would sound fantastic with the right vocalist. Don't know about 'No rapping' though. I'm open to any and all ideas and suggestions.
Thanks for your kind words and encouragement.
You're a gent...
I too use a USB MIDI keyboard but I can never get it to sound like yours!
In fact before coming on here tonight I've spent an hour or more with my head phones on having a glass of Irish and enjoying the bazillion sounds I can create at my finger tips. Just swirling them around my head.
I came away with nothing.
If I'm still here in a hundred years I might be as good as you but ... you'll always be a hundred years ahead of me!
Another piece that screams .... why the hell aren't you releasing albums?
I think you have done an amazing number here.
If this came on my radio I would be presuming it was sung by a pro recorded by pros etc.
My first word with this is ... wow!
Thank you, Silverman. Sunny is a pro, a working musician but just barely scraping by. It's a damn shame because in my eyes she's a superstar - a guitar goddess with an angel's voice, I mean, what a package I was blessed to get to work with. It definitely pushed me as a songwriter. Had to bring in stuff that was worthy of her talents. The last six months was very very special creatively. Now I'm working through all the getting-it-out-there steps I should have already done, and maybe I can make something happen eventually...... Please check out thesunnysessions.com sometime when you have some time. All 55 songs are on there. Thanks again!
Well I listened all the way through and I have to say .....
Wow!
I'm an old fart and don't have much interest in this kind of music.
My kids do and so do my grand kids ... yeas I'm that old.
I'm going to go out of my way when they appear here tomorrow to play that to them to show what talented company I'm in with on this site.
That is a brilliant piece of work.
Brilliant and wow are my fall back words for this track.
Care to tell how you've put this together?
Well I'm certainly glad you enjoyed it. As for how I put this together? I had a couple beers and listened to Owl City and Deadmau5, lol. Tried to combine the 2 different styles together. Thanks to WithoutMyArmor's accapella
Brilliant piece.
It reminds me of something from the 70's that I can't put my finger on and a voice I can't put a name too.
Nice to know protest is alive and well.
Protest is awareness in action.
I'm in the Anglo part of this dying Anglo American banking empire.
The most watched people on planet earth now.
Greed has taken over everything here.
The protests of the past in America are not happening because they learnt from Viet Nam that a comfortable and well off populace are powerful.
But when you're reduced to fear poverty uncertainty you won't be protesting hence the lack of mass protest.
This is very professionally put together and should be on the radio everywhere.
Thank you, Silverman. You made my day. Dylan defined a great song as one that seems like it's been around forever, so reminding you of the '70s is all right with me.
Protest is hope, and hope is in short supply these days. How absurd hope looks in the face of such enormous government corruption and general hatred. When there's no hope then out of hopelessness comes random acts of violence, and these are increasing on a daily basis. I fear that now any protest risks being a violent clash between the people and the government or between the people of one view and the people of the opposite view. We've had a house this divided before, and guess where it led? 620,000 dead. Ah, music. Can it make any difference?
Jeez, I wish I knew how to get things on the radio or to get any success at all, beyond the intense soul satisfaction that I'm feeling at the moment, having completed the project. But I'm working through the necessary steps, and maybe I can make something happen this time. Thanks for your comment, it gave me a boost.
At 2:56 it unravelled ... I was going to say but it didn't.
It was perfectly fine.
The change threw me for a second or two but it was a good change.
The opening is real goose bump stuff as is the ending.
Fantastic piece.
Faved.
Starts off very promising but then falls a little flat through lack of change.
You need more variety.
You need some breaks maybe a tempo change.
Over five minutes is quite a long time to keep someones attention without more variety.
The basis of it is good but it needs growing a little.
The best thing would probably be some lyrics maybe?
Mister Dragon I love your voice.
I've said before it has a magical quality ideal for all manner of media.
I love your spiritual stuff.
You turn out so much spiritual stuff in fact that it ssays a lot about you as a person.
Love joy peace.
My one big criticism is ... you have buried your voice!
That wonderful voice!!!
I think you need to lift your voice out of the music and put it more up front.
Really nice to see you again.
Thanks for that Silver Surfer!
My apologies for the late reply.
Yeah running a business does take a lot of my time and energy, in that i have only made like one album in the last 9 months.
Spiritual stuff was the goal from the very beginning. It was a lesson i learnt from listening to Bob Marley growing up. That is, how can one make music that is eternal? The answer is simple, make it inSPIRaTional and spiritual, have the music offering a solution, a way, a truth or a path, or something along those lines.
Thank you for your feedback. Every song is indeed a lesson.
I don't really like this kind of stuff.
I really like this though.
This is sooo professional!
Your voice is so natural.
Ideal I would have thought for this stuff.
I do get to hear quite a bit of this stuff through my kids and grand kids.
Excellent work.
I see you might be collabing with Greg ... he is so cool and laid back and produces some of the best stuff I've heard on here.
Jump in I'm looking forward to it but ... sort that damn ending out!
Love that synth lead!
Very catchy.
Only criticism is I think it could do with a little bit more variety.
It has all the makings though of a catchy pop tune that stays with you long after you switched off.
I have 30 tunes on my page here and not one of them is classical and I don't think any are cinematic either.
Simple reason being I cannot create them.
It's not for want of trying.
This has been put together extremely well.
If I heard it in the cinema or on the telly I wouldn't for a moment suspect it was a guy on Looperman using loops.
I've tried with loops combined with keyboard and midi controller and nope I just cannot do it.
Extremely well done mate.
I don't hear anything resembling war aggression and so on.
I hear more love and hope.
Silverman!, Very nice to come back again! early days in my production, I corrected many loops and put them together. Recently, I make music by punching my piano key to produce midi sequence from scratch. All instruments except but drum midi loop and FX effect such as rising sound, are assigned to proper synthesize such as h-he zebrallete, Halion symphonic orchestra, IK Sample tank, Next Instruments massive and so on. Every music I made are stocked as template in my music property. That's how I make sounds and music. Thanks, See you again!
Well five years have gone by.
Did it play on the radio?
Did it open any doors for you?
Has your producer aquired a penthouse apartment in London yet?
Have you finished your next song yet?
Great potential.
Great voice.
For me I think it needs some levels sorting out where there is too much sound fighting for the same space.
I think the main culprit for my ears is a bell sound.
Over all this sounds like a brilliant number just that mixing issue.
But .... at the moment I'm on an iffy set of cans so the range they have might not be so hot.
Great piece.
Thanks for the feedback.. i recorded this with a cheap mic just for freestyle. I now have a yeti. Definitely would be different if someone is down to lay vocals on it.
I hope you can't catch mental illness through a set of headphones!
Very very creative stuff here.
The mix is excellent and full of unexpected twists and turns.
Should carry a public warning .... hold on tight and don't let go!
I'm from the south of the city mte .... Stockport.
Left thirty years ago and headed for the hills. The Welsh one.
Don't look back in anger.
I've weathered many storms faced many challenges and music has always been there.
I've met people who have no music interest in their lives at all. Music doesn't enter into their lives.
I can't get my head around that.
Currently I'm facing growing old but not as the big tough guy I've always been as in six three strong as an ox but dealing with serious health issues. Music is more important to me than ever.
Nice message nice tune.
I'm with you on the growing old and lack of music.music can get us though tough time, spark memories, make us feel what we are afraid to feel. a family member was just diagnosed with late stage brain cancer. no symtoms till now. I can only imagine the fear that brings. I just want to add some hope. thank you
