on Persephone by AxelStPatience
...
Austin , first I wanted to write U should sing closer to microphone ..& also to suggest U always pay attention to your music wave diagram and never let diagram to be steady & montonous & fine drawn ...
but....
no...
I think I was wrong to say them ...
cause U sung such by all your heart , such impressive & frank , that all my words became silent & prefered reticence just to can listen & focus on your simple but heartfelt song ...
thnx for download premission & letting me enjoy this later too more & more ...
and just according to your desciption I'm trying to be usefull as a listener if I want to suggest U to add a sax , or even a cello to this ...
but anyway I should confess that I was surprised by U & your tallents ...
all the best...___Behnam

Hello Billy dear .
my friend as U know I'm not expert in no genres especially such genres & I'm not sure if we should categorize this as a trance track or not , but beyond the genre this was a nice & memorable theme for me ...
& as usual your spoken words (lyriX & some imes even poems I think we can call them ) was unique & worth of hearing & thinking for me ...& my insomnia here enjoyed & waved his hands for your brain...
take care buddy.___B

Hey brother decibel. Good to hear from you.

Thank you for your thoughtful words, as usual it is always appreciated. In fact always good to hear from old members.
Can't believe that Looperman is now 863,000 strong and going up. Some members are just numbers, others like you make a certain connection.

Take care my brother. Keep creating always. - Billy.

well I haven't heared previous version of track , buT what I listened in this version was so nice & well designed .
a successfull cooperation in which listener feels an adorble harmony between JAweGuy & your mentality ...
seems collaborators have underestood eachother finely & that's what is the only way of a good collab like this one..

on Crystal City by WARRIORDANIKA
first of all this is a remarkable lyrix which makes me have most respects for this track ( as sung version ) ..
instrumentaly , no doubT its adorable ..a thoughtfull musical form (especially as a platform for vocal ) , and as a guitarist I enjoyed the guitar part & mentality of selecting symphonic/classical inervals & notes ...
...
as a criticism which I hope won't bother U , I just think this instrumentation ( such a multiple & something which has taken time of composer ) deserves to be heared more in sung version too ...
I underestand your lyrix has been worth considering & I really enjoyed & adored your lyrix ...but there's a point which makes the proff singers be recognizable from those singers who are seriously tallented but -for any reason-not quite proff in which " a proff singer/lyricist makes, designes considers & some how calculates how many seconds is she/he singing & how many seconds she/he has let the music to talk & be heared & remembered for audiances...
but a singer who is not quite proff but quite tallented & with an amazing mind ,does everythings perfectly & finely but just forgets about this simple principle in which that instrumentation which has convinced her/him(singer) to compose a serious lyrix & vocal melody as an instrumental track , deserves to be heared by the audiances/listeners in sung version too ...& that's what will make listener to be influenced by what singer is singing ...""
...
anyway I really enjoyed , I really found it so worth to
be heared more & I admire you both for such a great & adrable collab..excuse me for such a long comment & hope U'll reallize I just tried to be more usefull as a comment despite writing just some repeatetive words as loopermanian compliments was so easier for me ...
respects , regards & best wishes.___Behnam

Hi deiBel,
Thank you for your review. I would have loved a producer on this! I think what you are saying to me is there needs to be a little less vocals and more room for the music?

a catchy theme , Punk with a bit of Jazzy taste of
your mentality -as I've had the chance to listen your traX-which is adorable especially for such a young musician ..
Golden Ookami U've a multimodal & multilateral mind & skil of music..so why don't U use other softwares or programs like Sibelius or Reason which are more suitable for writing notes for composing ..?I can underestand it's taken a long time of yours-as U've mentioned-to creat this by FL...& FL is good , I know , buT U can think of being a serious composer who has himself's exclusive sound , notes , harmony & loops & creates exclusive musix without need of FL patterns &...
absolutely U know better about what U want to do , I do know , but I think U too underestand that I've just tried to be a comment who makes U think more serious about your tallents , ability of playing various instruments & ....

just wanted to say , as I told U one week ago , I've sung this while driving , sleeping & even working so much as this is the first time ever I've memorized one by one all of the words of a track that I've downloaded from looperman .
for sure I had played that guitar live & had sent it to U if I hadn't left music , buT any way this track -even with this sample guitars of martin - is wonderfully impressive , and the best song of yours .smile & congrats .

on Willful Ignorance by Spivkurl
well designed , calculated & considered anarchy .multi-phase in both meanings ( musical & normal meaning ) plus sensible Spivkurlian innovation .. I just was waiting for more variety and changes about repeatetive beaT .. especially cause generally -i don't know if U've played drum or not - buT U've a good mentality of membranophonic instruments beating as I've seen & that's what is sensible even in your wonderfull loops here ...
Patrick do U remember I didn't know what the Acid genre is &
U were the first one who voted a trial of mine which is in hiden traX now ( an example of my missknowings___description below that was about I don't know what the genre it is !)is in acid genre & the first one who described about that for me ??!..

Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 28th Jun 2014 - 11 years ago
Hello my friend, and thank you for your insightful review. (as they always are) I see where you are coming from in regards to changes in the beat, and in this case I was focusing on minimalism and subtle changes, and not so much complexity and fills as in my usual tracks. The early parts are more syncopated broken beat sort of work. Things get more quantized and repetitive later in the track, and I think I possibly used the high hat pattern to often. I have played drums a bit, when my friend loaned me his kit for a few months quite a while ago. Mostly wanted it to sample a real kit, not so much to get good at playing. I have been trying to induce a little swing or groove by playing parts in with my MIDI controller and not quantizing them, and it helps a little. I was going to put this under "house," but then remembered that there's an acid genre here now. I pretty much suck at house, but I can make some pretty authentic sounding acid synths so it made sense. Here's a wiki link about "acid house" if you wanted to learn more about the history https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid_house Hope you are doing alright! I return your smile, and wonder all night about the wink... is it an all knowing wink regarding this song or just a friendly gesture? Who knows. Thank you for listening!

on Welcome To The New Age by SeriouslyJoking
SJ just about what U've called '' somewhat boring chill part'' in reply to Staticnomad , I should say I'm agree with U , and I think : 1_ U've composed this in one day ,and that's not enough time for a serious composition ,otherwise U've solved the matter of upbeat soOo easily if another time , another mood , another patiency of yours had paid attention to it . 2_ some times we can make listener to listen our traX again & again...again again & again , & that's when we don't let all things to be repeated..for example if a theme is nice for a listener & can entertaining him/her for 15 minutes , this will be our choice = 3 times a 5minutes duration track ...or 5 time a 3 minutes duration ..especially about loop used traX & cause we know relevancy of the duriation & inteligence quotient http://www.psychologicalscience.org/index.php/video/a-musical-mind.html
also
http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio4/genre/factual/scienceandnature
beyond all these words I congratulation to U for being a smart musician SJ.excuse me for 2 long comments & in the end again my best wishes .___B

on Welcome To The New Age by SeriouslyJoking
as usual your traX sounds stylish , nice & chic &
U portary your musical expressions in an artistic way SJ .
super nice & a thoughtfull & considered mixture of the various elements .
SJ hope U know my faved marks is not because of the time U've started music and if those trax that I've faved in your traX belonged to Bear or Ed( as 2 throughbred musician) too I had marke them as fav & for example regarding this one your Aestetical composition is the reason & charlene is right about listening this is car while going to job like what I'll do about it & I'm gratefull of your download premission too . else & beside i suggest U to think about an online course of mix & mastering SJ ...your musical style sounds so differenT & better by a better mix & mastering and also especially an exclusive equalizing about the loops which U're using them , a scientific equlizing for a unique quality of those sounds , exclusively for SJ's traX..that's what I mean ( and what I needed if I hadn't left music for myown's trials too) ..
anyway thnx for sharing your tallents phenomenal SJ , take care ,best wishes.__B

on Liberate---Looptrack Challenge Run 3 Entry by Spivkurl
...my good looker friend and another innovation sharing...
it has a memorable rhythm & I can underestand U've atuned your membranophonic lines . I also like the way U've designed not a crowded space in this and all other sounds are playing us so suitable...well,but where is your voice ...so...?
especially according to musical form U've composed iT & also the tempO , Patrick .K is the best one who can compose a creative vocal melody & cool singing style for it with a
storied lyriX ...
by the way Pat whenever U may needed a gobblin voice in a role in your trax for fun , U-but only U-can count on me if that's your track I'll sing or talk instead of that role for U...take care buddy & many thnx for sharing.___B

Waking up to your words today has been the high point of a difficult week, so I thank you for that! I am so deeply honored by your offer of vocal contributions, and I'll have to keep it in mind while continuing this album project in the works. The mastering on this one is definitely different from my usual, not so extreme, and I think I'm going to try to keep heading that way. I will probably try to add some vocals to this after the challenge is over, as I don't really count that as a loop. Reading your words always helps change my viewpoint, and I thank you for that!

on A series of riffs by FreeRadical
first of all what a cool name ...
it also reminds me this article >>
http://monetaryrealism.com/steve-waldmans-latest-post-a-series-of-riffs/
despite obviously there's no relevancy ...anyway..
regarding part 3 I generally enjoyed the variation which
U had designed to happen by selecting that interval of synth.
...was a surprise...especiallY when then the girl begun to sing ...I think when that interval synth comes into music , it's interval toward 3 non key membranophonic line is sensible & U can easily change the pitch of third membranophonic line & Atune with the varation and in fact the scale of that synth interval ..
also something like a altrasion in main melody , or a considered stop , or a syncope too could be another test for a more considered movemenT ..
buT to be honesT this is really god & cool & energizer enough right now too ..& U know I know nothing about such genres...
vocal part was remarkable...& U had hit the targeT by designing a surprise in which vocal was added to us when we didn't guess ...many thnx for sharing FR ....
I downloaded it & will enjoy listening to this later more too ..___Behnam

I've never heard of Steve Waldman so yeah the title is just a coincidence. Glad you enjoyed this little three piece medley and i'm also glad i suprized you with the vocal. It took me a while to get to the end of this track as creativity doesn't seem to be flowing to well since i stopped smoking weed. I'm hoping things will improve in time when i finally get my head around the synths i just bought.
Cheers for tuning in.
