on Little Things feat ThaSuspect by Leverett
There's a lot of good stuff going on in this track. It's got a real old school vibe to it. I think i like the saxophone solo the best and the keys.
I could be back in 1991 so thanks for taking me back to a great time in my life.
However, i still hate autotune so i personally would have preferred the track without the vocals but that's just being picky because the track is great.
Good work.

Thank to you for the comment. I wasn't specifically looking for an old school sound, but the song basically came out by himself and I totally like it. I was a little kid in early 90s but I still totally love these sounds.
Has for the autotune, basically the tune started from the acapella, so I built it around it. I could think of an instrumental version, though.
Thanks again.

Hey this reminds me of the game fallout. Just kidding (i have no idea what that game sounds like)What i do know is that this has some great asmosphere to it. I think ambient stuff is under rated because it takes patience to make those atmospheres and soundscapes. I like the chinese sounding instrument that you used, i like the pads. Hell! I like the whole thing, it's mystical and relaxing.
Well done.

This takes me back to my childhood. Sounds like an old arcade game like the original mario or something.
It's definitely different and makes me want to dig out all those old nintendo games. This was a nice thing to wake up to this morning.

I'm listening to this and i'm feeling good good good.
Your tune is good, your mix is clean and most importantly you sound good as well.
I'm a bit envious of you guys (and girls) with lyric writing skills.
I can't pick fault with this tune.
Good work.

This is insane but in a good way, it's kind of techno rock. It sounds like it's saying "Eat Pizzas".
It's got a bit of everything. Reminds me a little of early moby stuff but it's definitely in a weird genre all on it's own.
frantic but fun is what this track is.

This is really retro sounding. It sounds like cyberpunk. You've done yourself justice here, that bassline is something straight outta the 80's but with a modern twist. I love the filtered effects you put on it and the vocal synthesis is brilliant. This is one of those tracks that could just go on forever.
Like the way you broke it down and brought in that cowbell thing and then that crazy synth that goes with it.
You might have been in a weird mood but this aint weird its really good.

Hey, thanks, some good feedback you've contributed here! Cyberpunk makes sense to me... been rewatching Max Headroom lately, and watched Repo:The Gentic Opera again not long ago. I almost didn't remember what you meant by voice synthesis, but yeah it's there... ha ha... kind of just started thinking of it as a synth. I actually shortened the final arrangement, but if it could go on forever, maybe that means it's appropriate for remixing. I really appreciate you taking a listen, hear you soon!

Well this is pretty laid back. I like the swirling pads and atmospheres. It's kind of 80's retro sounding but we like a bit of nostalgia.
Good arrangement.

My apologizes FR for missing this comment. I appreciate you taking the time to give input. Yep retro is what I do I guess. I keep thinking I just sound different and so its lumped in with retro but ... nope,in the end I am a lover of those new age days combined with the progressive rock days and I can't escape it lol. Thanks man!!

on Escaping Hell by radioilluminati
I like this, that main lead is very electro sounding. It's a bit boomy with all that reverb going on but presumably you wanted to sound like that.
The second part is pretty trippy when it breaks down about two minutes through and i like the big square bass that comes in from time to time, I love that sound and would have liked to have heard more of it.

I'm laughing because you've obviously switched the genre to electro. Sorry to have to say it's not electro either. I'd definitely class this as industrial and it's really twisted. If i'd been on drugs this would have freaked me right out.

on AZZYKO - GAME OVER by AZZYKO
Yeah, liking this one. It reminds me a little of the theme music to the original tetris game just with a large helping of scratchy yi yi yi effects and pitchbends.
So good i listened to it twice!

I was listening to "Doctor P - Tetris" so I got inspiration there for this track. Spent a lot of time on this one but obviusly it worth. Ty for listening and leaving feedback!
FreeRadical
Well the opening is unexpected for a dubstep tune, then when that wobble comes in it really steals the show. This is something smoking hot that you've come up with here.
Then when you start singing it gets even better.
This has to be track of the day for me (and i've listened to a lot)

on Transparent by Xkoreerer
I hated dub step when i first heard it but then i realized it was because i'd been listening to crap dubstep. This however is not a crap piece of dubstep, It's a dam good piece of dubstep, creepy intro and then what sounds like a missile assault on your ear drums.
The only drawback is that it isn't very long.

on Our Deliverance by Tatiacha
Nice effort with the combination of loops going on here. I like the selection you've chosen. The rhythm guitar could do with coming forward a notch but i like it when that mad synth thing comes in. Also i like the bit where it quietens down and you get a little drum interlude.
Good work.

on regret buss by ElenaSatine
Well it's started off well and i like the riffs so far (i'm reviewing as i listen to see if i can figure out what the others are talking about)
I think this is a good headbanging piece of metal, nice work with the drums, good choice of riffs.
Well i made it all the way to the end of the track and i actually didn't notice any riffs that don't work with each other. I thought it was a bit muddy in places but that just gives it a nice live feel.
I enjoyed listening to your track.

he doesn't talk about riffs , but i don't care what the others want to show about themselves.
this is very good to have your review .
thank you much much for dropping these words.

on its alright1 demo by larrybarrow31
Yeah i agree that we all have to move away from bad people and bad things in life but the trouble is that sometimes you just wander head first into more bad people and bad times. But anyway, enough with the pessimism and on to the track. R&B is a little out of my comfort zone but what i can say is that this sounds very professional and sounds like the sort of track that could potentially do well as a chart single.
You've got some serious talent my friend and you should be selling this stuff and not just giving it away. Chicks love this sort of stuff as well.
I feel inferior after listening to this.

on Sax Trot by RealProblemShuckers
This is nice, funky and uplifting, I cant help feeling that the intro sounds a little dry though. I would add some efx to that sax like a delay or perhaps a bit of reverb.
I do like the way that the track progresses though. The synth sound that you used is excellent and the groove is good.
I enjoyed listening to this track.

on Being from a VacUUmeD similar to my being Behnam by deciBel
This is a thing of beauty mate.
Love the slow piano build up to the heavy atmospherics, it has so much depth to it yet it's also very simple in it's arrangement.
This track would be great for the back drop of a sad scene from a movie.
You've done a blinder here and you make me think that i should try and make some music like this.
Stunning!

many thnx FR for listening & shared idea in commenT .
and now while answering your commen t I'm listening ''Kinda dubbY''a new uploaded track of yours which convinces me more & still more than before too - that U can have many good ideas about designation of imagery but meaningfull atmosphers in ambience & cinematic genre too, especially according to your self style about designation & usage of your Fx sounds & the way U arrange & mix regular....I think your cinematic traX too will be pleasurable like your current musiX.___B

on Starburst Symphony by Diskonnect
I like to listen to peoples older tracks as it gives you a feel of how much they've improved. This is dark and gritty and pretty darn good. I thought the intro could use sorting out a little but when that wub wub bass kicks in it really packs a punch.
I like what you did with the vocals and i appreciate how hard dubstep is to make as i tried it once and failed miserably so kudos to you EB
good work.

on DJ The Observer -- Enterprise--no response-- by djtheobserver01
To start with i thought that sample was saying "antichrist" lol.
Nice bit of sampling none the less, It takes a little while to get going but once the beat kicks in it's off.
I would have liked to have heard a bit more variation going on, like perhaps you could have put some filters on the main riff or taken it up an octave or so forth.
I'm reviewing as i listen so i see that there is a change in the riff now and it's picking up niceley.
I think i liked the middle of the track best.

on Food For Free by Spivkurl
Well i have to admit that i haven't a clue what an 8 bit track is so you'll have to excuse me as i have nothing to compare it to. It reminds me a little of the soundtrack to an old arcade game like donky kong or sum ting.
It's definitely got a unique sound to it and i can just picture mario (version 1) trying to jump those barrels to get to the lady at the top.
Interesting tune and it sounds good after a few buds (the beer not the green stuff)
FR
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 18th May 2014 - 11 years ago
Hey buddy! Well, 8 bit is pretty much what most of the old games and toys were back in the day, so your comparison to arcade games is pretty accurate. Atari made 8 bit home computers in the 70's and 80's, and actually up til '92 which surprised me. When Shan added this genre, he referred to it as "8 bit chiptune circuit bent," and since this one is primarilly circuit bent I thought I'd switch the genre. Glad I could enhance your beer drinking a little! Thanks for listening!

on The Lonely Toreador by theHumps
Well call me a big ignoramus but i don't know what a toreador is. Souns like something that you might get served along side a taco or something. I'm guessing i'm in the right area as it does have an air of "Desperado" (brilliant movie with Antonio Banderes)
Everything has gelled together niceley unlike the hole in the wall i just made attempting to do some D.I.Y.
Really like the vibe of this piece, are you using metal buckets for the persussion? It's very inventive.
I'm glad i dropped in for this as it's a great style and i think you should do more like this.
FR

theHumps replied 19th May 2014 - 11 years ago
Toreador is a bull fighter. I coped the title from Herp Albert's song The Lonely Bull. This is from the other vantage point, lol.

I used some of planetjazzbass's loops, that is the metal buckets you hear. The percussion loops inspired the song.

Thanks, I like doing this kind of music.

Reminds me a little of Napalm Death kind of stuff, I think they call it grindcore. But then that guitar solo comes in and it suddenly turns into rock for a minute before finally returning back to death metal.
It's short and sweet but was worth listening to.
