Jahknow, that's a very Rasta kind of name, so I guess if you dig it, it's got that upbeat reggae feel kind of right. I used to be in a Ska band, and it was great fun. If I was to take this sound on the road I would need a nine piece horn section. Now that would be cool!
Thank you for your time...
wow very cool!!! I feel damp with a dark misty night time fog. Ooof I slipped through the alley on my way to the corner shop. Just missed a cab on my route to the show.
Sooooo pleasant! This just eeeks for a video presentation. Seems so moody and emotional.
Cheers mate, glad you like it. I totally have visual ideas , similar to yours. The track is just one part of an intended concept piece about urban madness. Cheers again,Dhar
But try this on this track. Kill that hip hop riddim and go to a steppah riddim or 1 drop riddim. I think the steppah riddim on 3 might make this sound way better, Right now the snare and guitar clash making them compete for space in the mix.
lol j-know, sounds like your a little shocked :P It is extremeley weird i'll give you that. Im actually quite addicted to it though lol. Thanks for the review tho mate :)
Ok here's your jah tip bro. Play with that automation track on the saw synth line and get some crazy sweep int the lfo speed every 4 bars. You know so the ZzzZzzZzzZzzZzz starts to go ZZzZZzZZzZZz and the Z!Z!Z!Z!Z!
I'm digging the metal can snare sound. Bass is decently done as well. It'd sound sweet for the lfo to effect the upsweep of that bass whoooop! think boop woooble wooble.
I've found the first song using my dubstep drum loops! :D cheers to that 1. Gotta say I like that 2nd drop bassline.
Haha! the fat ass bass just kicked in @ 3:30! sweet dude. I love hearing people use up some of these loops in a whole new creative way. Gotta say I wouldn't have been able to do that with it so.... COOL!
yeah! I'm a bit of a prick in that I hate using sample anything anymore. I get he most enjoyment outta knowing I programmed all beats and sounds myself.
peronally - I can't get away from Massive synth and a cool lil drum machine called Drumatic. I'm gonna work on some Dnb/jungle loops too post up soon tho. ;) peas!
good shit brotha. been lookin into massive over the past couple days, looks pretty sick i'll have to give it a go. lemme know when the loops are up man, always good to get some new material in!
it's all good bruv. DnB is hard stuff, that's why it's fun!!! With the speed of the tunes running 160-170 bpm there's a ton room for playing around with drum breaks and what not.
What sorta synth you using on this stuff? or drum machine? I love jungle too, so passing on ideers and tips is just the ticket! ;)
haha very true man, who doesnt love a bit of a challege eh? just workin with the 3xOsc in FL for the reeces n sub. and usin whatever sample packs i can grab online at the mo. anythin good u can recommend?
Pretty nice start I must say. I'd wanna nast y it up some. The detuned soundsin the bass are ok, but it needs 1 dropped octave bass sound under it, in the 2nd drop maybe.
This sounds weird, but thinning the kick drum out so it has less sustain and higher esonance will give it more rrom in the overall mix. listen to some old school jungle breaks to hear what i mean.
Thing with DnB is creating just thr right amount of space for all the noises to fit in.
wicked stuff man. i see what ur sayin with the kick. i know its all pretty damn sloppy at the mo n the sounds dont match too well, but just had to kinda feel my way thru without any guidance. i'll be dropping another stab at it on here soon man. much appreciated.
Thanks bro.

You lemme know as soon as your done being fruity.
Nice raw sound here though bro. I bet you're missing some wonkers in that bass sine wav aren't you? Good track for an hour of grunt work.
do you think my music would benefit from using ableton then?

I'd keep going, but loose the strings overload and keep it kinda griity and dirty. Think Wookie or El-B! :)
