Prettsweet track man. It's jungle, but so much heavier in the low end. Pretty original sound on this one.

on Parsons Productions - Trigger Happy Dub by SuspektNumber1
good go. reminds me of some old school UK garage bassline stuff. Wookie or El-B type stuff. But here's Jah's tips to make this bang.

Ditch that pop beat all together and try adding a cut time steppah riddim on 3. Check out some of my dubstep drum loops. ;)

Check the tempo. It feels like a house track with a good bassline. Needs to be bit more sparce throughout. slow it down to to create proper syncopation.

keep going...

Try rescaling that organ synth line that plays throughout. Try some sort of minor diminished chord to give it that unresolved sorta questionable feel.

I'd say yes, all the way. Push the dub up and keep working this tune out!

The trick is to play a lead line with the wobble rate. pass that melody line around several different instruments or types of synth sounds at once. at least that's my input.. ;)

good go. keep pushin' it!

This reminds me of a real bad santa accident that happened in a Malaysian hardhouse dance club.

You like bells and chimes and stuff. that's totally cool with me and my type.

on morose by freakwincy
I like the junglist drummin', but I get lost in the cinematicnes-ness of the synth lines. maybe it's a blend of two styles that's somehow actually 'new'! Damn imagine that?! :D

Well I've been lost now for several minutes, and I love it quite a lot... so not 1 complaint. don't know if I've ver hear dthese sound sets used in DnB before. well done.

on Dj Lucky Can Make You Move-MIXED BETTER?? by phasturbo
yep. It's primed for and extended remix now! It's just me bust i hear some plunky piano chords on the 3 beats or some kinda razor sharp saw moan over top it now.

the snare delays are a sweet spoty to me. Sound slike the bass drum could actualy be in cut time to make it sort a shuffle a lil bit to phatten the groove. Also double up the bass track! maybe detune the 2nd one just a few cents to give it some kinda disharmonic effect. pretty cool man.

it was just a taster, but i feel like it could be built upon now. good one.

on Darker Corners by Falter
On a sencond listen, I was surprised to find myself searching for a tempo. This doesn't happen inmy ears... EVER! ;) You did a great job of blending the cut time beat into the 4 drop house riddim. That's tricky to do and still keep someones attention that long.

K, now I'm thinking I do wanna make it dark >:). Sounds like there may some sinister intentions behind that deep cold space.

K now! Safe.

This is nice.

Tips.

check the compression levels, or lack of, on the his and subs. I feel like it's peaking out and canceling out certain sounds. But for facks sake mon, Big Tune!

I also feel like some of those issues may not exist on the big house PA. Most home stereos don't have the ass to push sub levels like this.

on Celestial Sunrise by dmfay
Inspired is good! This reminds me of some of Burials stuff maybe. That bass line is very very well done, but yeah you can push that a lot further now in the post mix by just creating a few sections with either
1. higher cutoff/res settings
2. +1 octave line mimicking the bass in a few bars.
3. modify the wave position here and there to create a saw synth feel just here and there. Roughen the edges just a skinch.

good good good!

10,000 really! I dont know how many i've got but its jolly near enough 5 GB worth. I do love the genre. Im glad you like this song. I do love it, its a kind of song i dont generally make, but it turned out rather well i think and for once the production values sound better than the rest of my songs.

Thanks for the review, its really encouraging! Feel free to go ahead and change it if you like, I dont mind sending the drums/synth and sample files if you want them seperate? Im always up for remixes! :)

It's a wobble alright, but here's my add.

Get in there and play around with free synch rate wobble instead of midi synched. Create macro envelopes for the rate so it follows the bass line with more of an organic wobble.

It's got a decent drum line, but could use some variation within. (triplet hi hats ;) ). This is a good go man, keep working this heory out. we need steppahs to unite!

Thanks.

You're right, the drums could be variated more.

I'll take in what you say and improve the track.

ditto with what Chud said. The intro is way to cute and poppy to be steppin', BUT, the bass line is huge. You do have a knack for drops as well, so I'd go with it. Keep the dubstep massive alive now!

Big Ups mate! Nice track. Like your use of the violin-ish synth sound in the back. It gives this piece a real interesting line to follow that is both unfinished and diminished. It leaves alot for your mind to fill in. I love it!

let's get the dubstep genre pumped up!
