I have to say I'm having a bit of difficulty with how the vocal sits with the rest of the track. It doesn't sound in the same key at times (or maybe my ears are playing tricks). It just sounds a little "disjointed" but maybe that's what you were after anyway.
Your guitar playing is excellent and the blues feel is superb. I'll be keeping an eye our for more of your tracks from here on.
Your stuff is really good also. I was trying not to mess up her vocals too much so I tried to make them fit with out time shifting and changing the key. Also it might have gotten effected when I imported in in to cubase that was set at 24 bits not 16 bit
This is beautiful! It is so good to hear Patricia's vocals treated with so much respect and to hear a fantastic composition that fits with it so well. Congratulations - a stunning piece of work.
Thank you. Nice to see, that there are also some other, who like those acoustic pieces beyond the lots of rap or R&B-pieces on looperman (which sometimes are quite nice too ...)
What next? Feel free to listen to my other tracks. I also want to upload more tracks and loops ...
Hiya Richie my friend, hope all is well with you? Thanx for the positive review mate. Yup I'm hoping someone picks this up and helps me take it that lil bit further! Really appreciate you dropping by and taking time to listen & comment. Thanx again.
What a great feel you have here and I love the theme line and the harmony (guitar and keyboard??). Nice guitar sound too on the rhythm section. Lovely middle eight section - a bit of a dream sequence and it works well. It's all very thoughtfully done and illustrates your talents and musicianship very well. Lovely guitar solo - love that sound. Super job.
Thank you, Richie – your review is much appreciated. I am trying very hard to get an "in the room" live feeling on the tracks and it feels great that you think we've succeeded. (There's only an Atlantic ocean between me and the rest of the band).
Again, thanks for listening and reviewing.

This is a beautiful track. I love the feel and the arrangement. Super stuff. That synth line part way in is very retro and fits just perfectly. Great mix. I love it.
Great track. I love the "clean" sound you have created here and the haunting vocal is just perfect. The kit sounds a bit dry (that isn't a criticism more a personal view) but the guitar work is exceptional. Love it.
Hey, we've missed you! This is great!! Welcome back. So good to hear real guitars played so well. Love the hook with the guitar playing the vocal line. Drums sound fantastic - what do you use? Great bass line and your rhythm guitar part is really really good. Fantastic track, so very well put together, nice mix, super solo, sounds great, I love it!!
Sorry its been awhile since I have posted anything. I was awaiting on another person to do the lyrics/vocals to this song last fall, but he ended up being too busy with college studies. So Erik and his father took up the challenge and made it happen. I am very happy with the way it turned out. I had it professionally mastered as well. I have other tunes started, just not finished yet. Takes me awhile as I am 'old'. Lol
This was basically a 150bpm song. As for drums, I usually use betamonkeymusic.com drum samples. Sometimes when a song is played fast, it is easier to get a nice steady beat going. The guitar lead parts don't have to be played fast either, to produce a good effect.
So I'll put up some more tunes as I can whether vocals included or not. Thanks for your glowing review and am glad you enjoyed it.
I have to apologise - I still haven't stopped laughing since I first heard this!! It's such good fun and all done in the right spirit. The track behind your singing is absolutely on the money. It's a fabulous collaboration. Love it!
This is just great. I love those transitions -they work really well and flow naturally. Lots if things happening to keep you interested all the way through. That guitar on the intro (it appears throughout the track too) is excellent. The vocals at the end work every so well. Keep experimenting and give us more of this. Top stuff.
Hiya Richie. Hope all is good with you & yours my friend? Thanx so much for the review. I'm really honured & humbled when such talented Loopers as your-self comment on my work. I was really chuffed with how this track worked out. I like the guitar riff you mention and will probably use it again. It is kinda sweet eh ? I often struggle with vocals but on this one they seemed to just fit around everything else. I really do appreciate you taking time out to drop by to my lil corner of the Loop and have a listen. Peace, Love & Justice to you maate.
A very impressive track. I always like a mix that allows the vocals to shine through and the mix here is perfect. It's great arrangement too and takes a very pleasant musical journey with lots of light and shade (are they called "breakdowns" these days?). Really good stuff - thank you.
Thanks for your comment,
I just love making music. One thing, I just don't know anything about it. It's just something i feel like. So what do you mean by saying arrangement or breakdowns?
As one who loves drums and percussion I have to tell you this is a magic sound on the kit. Great live feel to it and anything resembling a real musician on a real kit works for me. This is dynamite. That tympani thing is very clever too - adds so much. OK enough on the drums. Super bass lines - we should get a band together! Sax is superb, the piano is lovely and the organ just perfect. It's all just very well synthesised and works at every level. This is very classy stuff and a joy to listen to. Thank you.
Hey Richie thanks man!...actually I was sort of taking a leaf out of your book.I have EZDrummer/SuperiorDrummer which I used here..definitely worth getting back into them to get that 'real' drum sound..I'd been using Stylus RMX a lot which is great but doesn't have that real stick on skin sound (not that any drums have skins on them now! lol).....Amazingly we are in the same country! lol..so anything is possible...God can you imagine how cool it would be if many of Looperman's muso's lived in the same city..damn we could get one hot unit together!...always a pleasure to have you stop by mate!..cheers from Zap,Slap and Dave (sounds like that terrible 70's band!lol) :)
I love the groove you have created here. Really very good indeed. Hope you find something to go over the top of it. It deserves a good vocal or an excellent spoken word (not that know anything at all about this genre - I'm well out of my comfort zone here!!). Good luck with it. I love it.
Hey Richie...thanks for stoppong by and checking the track out..I appreciate the comment man and i love the stuff you abd P.E. are putting out...i got a lot of different ideas i'm trying and a surplus of things ill probably just turn into loops and share them here....Talk to you soon
Really good. Love the way you have allowed the vocal to shine through and not be overpowered by the instrumentation. That string phrase going on in the background works fantastically well. Like the breakdowns too - just right.
Richie, thanks for the kind words. Coming from someone that's worked on a few things with Patricia, it's well received and appreciated. Her voice is spectacular and shines on her own. I just wanted to take a shot and I had loads of fun making this.
Cleo Lane, Lois Lane, what about Penny Lane? I'm well out of my comfort zone here but just thought is sounded fantastic. I am desperately trying to widen my horizons - I'll be listening to more breakbeat from here on. Thanks for a super track.
Ah, Mr Winn. How good of you to stop in. Yes, Breakbeats a bit of a difficult genre to figure out as there are lots of different varietys of it. I personally just go with the philosophy that if it aint got a four to the floor beat pattern & it's electronic, then it's breakbeat. Or it could be 2 step, or garage, or whatever lol.
I'm glad you managed to find a moment to tune in and check it out.

You have every right to be proud of this. It's a fantastic performance filled with emotion and soul. You have taken Bear's beautiful piano piece to another dimension. It is truly stunning work.
A wonderful rendition of this classic song. Many years back I used to play at our college folk club and at the end of the evening all the guests would be called up for the final song. It was always Wild Mountain Thyme. Thank you for bringing back such great memories. Lovely playing and perfect instrumentation. What next? Flower of Scotland perhaps?
As it happens I'm drinking a rather large Bundy and coke as I write. It seems to fit perfectly with the atmosphere you have created with this track. A little smokey lounge with the trio in the corner. Very good indeed. Love that double stopping on the acoustic (Wes Montgomery was a hero of mine) and your bass lines are just great. It absolutely wraps me up. Lovely sound on the nylon strings too. Excellent stuff. Really enjoyed it. Thank you.
Hey Richie..thanks mate!..aahhh yes the ol' Wes double stops, takes me back to when I was a kid and had a few guitar lessons, and I asked the guy how can I sound like Wes and Kenny Burrell...he replied "about 20 years practice wouldn't hurt!" lol..but he did show me how to do double stops!..if only I had taken his advice and put guitar nose to grindstone..sigh...man I haven't had a Bundy and coke in decades, one would put me on my arse! lol...thanks for listening mate, much appreciated. cheers Dave :)
Superb track. Really enjoyed listening to it. What a very good arrangement and the spoken word fits ever so well. Instrumentation is excellent, great sounds particularly the guitar. Excellent. Top top top marks.
This is fantastic. Really well done. What great drums and the way the kick drum and the bass drive it all along is superb. Excellent chord progressions too - it keep changing a moving right the way through. Nice sensitive touch with the vocals too - they really shine. Lovely little instrumental interlude too. Excellent. Top top top job. Love it. Pierro does pop - whatever next?!
I'm glad you like it Richie.
I tried to recreate that 80's sound and feel, adapted to our days. Stephanie's acapella suggested that to me.
