I'm absolutely positive the people of Luthien V were happy to be saved by Mathematics. I am assuming it was "Stereo Mathematics" that saved them? Along with Mono Physics? Surround Sound Science? Whatever, this is a great piece and I love the drums very much. Great groovy lick going on with that bass too. Excellent.
indeed they were happy, and to show their appreciation, they increased funding for music in schools. mono physics, i like that one. thanks for the listen dude.
HEY RICHIE W. THANKS 4 THE EARS ON IT . I DON'T HAVE ANY MORE OF THESE. MAYBE SOMEDAY BUT NOT RIGHT NOW.LOL.AGAIN THANKS 4 LISTEN AND KIND WORDS. PEACE.
This is such a great interpretation of the vocal. Very sympathetic and allows the singing to shine and project. Great track, super arrangement, love it.
An excellent cover - I am so impressed. Great vocal (so envious) and the acoustic guitar is perfect. Love those subtle strings too and the percussion - fantastic. Well done indeed. Congratulations.
It's always good to hear a collaboration that really works around the vocal and allows it to breathe and project. This is wonderful, very nicely arranged and everything working together beautifully. I like the contrast between the rhythm of Patricia's vocal and the drum and percussion patterns. Syncopation and rhythmic excellence. Subtle too. Top production. Well done. Congrats.
This is excellent - really enjoyed listening. Great sounding drums and the whole feel is very very good indeed. It's tense and full of foreboding too. A touch of Miles Davis? Good luck with the film - hope it materialises.
Hey Ritchie thanks man....the trumpet tone was a product of BigFishAudio's First call Horns Vst....I've often thought about doing a full on Miles type number..but I wouldn't dream of plagerise his name,I'd be cursed forever!...I hope the film does eventuate, but it's not up to me,I'm just helping out...cheers mate :)
Thanks a lot Richie. To be honest, when I first heard the acapella, I was thinking about something COMPLETELY different. But it came to this, and I'm more than satisfied someone likes that tune, because it's both very close to the music I like to listen and very far from what the kind of music I usually write...
So thanks again for taking the time to listen and leaving feedback, and as I notice that your influences are all songwriters I like very much, I'm gonna listen to your tunes right away...
I am so amazed at this work - truly outstanding. It is simply beautiful. I have listened to this acapella by the wonderful and talented MIM4E and backed away quite afraid to take it on. You, sir, have done a quite superb job with it and I applaud it wholeheartedly. Great job, I am blown away. Great playing, piano sounds excellent and such complex yet easy to grasp progressions. Ah! Wonderful. Thank you.
I have listened to this track several times trying to work out what it is that doesn't quite fit together for me. I think it's an issue about what key the vocals are in the the dominant chords in the backing track. They appear to rotate between Am and Dmajor. I have had a quick listen to the acapella by MuzicIzMee4Ever and (I could be wrong here) the dominant chord is Dm7. I think this might be an issue. Hope this is helpful.
hi richie, thanks for your time to listen and your comments, as i dont read write or recognise specific cords or notes, i cant pick out exacly what you are pointing out - i do all my music by ear and try to blend the loops and vocals i find in the most pleasant way possible that i hear for myself, it may be my ear is not as tuned as yours and i really do need some proper music teaching but with limited time and money never have had the chance to pursue this option, however as a hobby its good fun and thats all i aim to achieve, if anyone else likes what i do thats a bonus. much respect and envy to all true musicians i can only wish ! - will look up your stuff and see if i can learn anything - many thanks

Hey, this is excellent. What a really well thought out track. Great riffs and nice groove. Love the drums, nice and punchy, lovely guitar work too. Fabulous solo. A very different interpretation of the MIM4E acapella. Great job. Love it.
Thank you so very much for your enthusiastic comment,Richie :) You know what,...always when i listen to MIM4E´S vocals,a song just comes out of nowhere.Somehow her vocal style just lights me right up.
Yep,the drums are punchy indeed.Nice observation there ;) For me it´s a goal to make everything equal in a mix.Of course sometimes you have to choose what is the loudest but if you work very hard, you can make all equal. I hate it when one instrument eclipses everything else.
But of course, for MIM4E´s vocals,i am ready to push others back a bit :D
Heheh, that solo was meant to be a LOT stranger,i was about to make a real bizarre solo that would be out of time even in places, lol. Sometimes i rrrreally like to push it,hahah. But in the end i made the solo a little easier. Now the solo hints at that weirdness in few places.
Thank you for the great comment,Richie. GOD bless you :)
This is a great arrangement and with a definitely old school Motown feel about it. Really good. Lovely organ sections and those drums - right on the money. Yep, music should always have a little place for some humour so thanks for a super ending!
Thank you very much for your kind words,Richie :) Finally i got to do a Motown styled song, yaayyy! All it took was 20 seconds of listening to the vocals of Ms.Vocalist MIM4E and i got the whole song right then and there.
Yeah, those drums actually capture that Motown sound and feel. Also the bass came out really better than i hoped for. That bass is actually played with midi as it is and i left some mistakes in there too. What you hear with the bass is what i recorded.
And i totally agree, put humor in there sometimes,it wont cost us anything, heheh.
Thank you for the feedback. Somehow this site has REAL musiclovers in here. Its great!
GOD bless you guys! Lets keep on rocking and keep on improving!
What a great arrangement. So very thoughtful and sensitive - it simply brings out the very best of a very soulful vocal (she is such a great talent). This is one of those tracks you find difficult to believe has been put together in two very independent stages. You have an incredible feel for what is required and it's all played and put together beautifully. I am so impressed with this - excellent job. Congratulations.
Giving the illusion that everything was made at once is a very exciting game!
I spent a little time wondering how to make it sound. First I made a complicated version.
But as I was hearing to the arrangment, I wanted to remove something. After a couple of "cuts", this version is the simpliest one, though I still don't know if the keyb solo is necessary...
thanks "Richie".. the 'piano' sound is the Vintage '74 Rhodes from a Motif. As far as doing the vocal justice, I think it's the other way around, her vocal does the track justice. Oh and the chords?... GOSPEL!!
This is really good. Makes me want to smile, such a great feel to it, great arrangement and some respect for the vocals too (she is such a talent). Very good track - great job, well done. Love it.
The introduction is long but it draws you in and makes you want to listen some more. Excellent playing and well recorded and your voice should be pushed a bit further forward in the mix - it's good. A harder drum sound and further forward in the mix would work better for me but I have to say this is great track. Well done. Keep it going. Look forward to hearing more from you.
The one thing that's very clear about your track and my interpretation - your vocals just cut right through it all! Yours is a more "modern" approach, all the arpeggios and the kind of hip hop feel you have to it. Really good. I think I could have done a much better job with the original vocal tracks without effects but hey, I really enjoyed putting it together. You have "Lost and Found" posted as an acapella - maybe I'll give that the "Richie Winn" treatment. Thanks for getting in touch and good luck with all our music. Your voice, lyrics and productions are first class. Well done.
Love the sound of the drums (what do you use or is it live?) and those intro chords are fantastic. Harmony guitar work is simply wonderful. Excellent track, very well put together, such a thoughtful arrangement too. Lots of light and shade, a great journey, great guitar sound. Is there a guitar synth happening there too? Well done, great job. Love it.
Hi Richie,
Thanks for listening. The drums are done by a session drummer - I downloaded them and built the track around them. The guitar harmonies were done on a Les Paul and the outro solo on a PRS Custom (for the whammy bar). There are little bits of Guitar Synth peppered throughout!
Thanks, Jamie.
