Always good to hear from you and thanks for the great comments. Yes, Derek is exceptional and it is a pleasure working with such good vocals. As you can see from his comments below he found it quite a revelation listening to "real" guitar on one of his tracks. Ah these young kids eh?

I just watched some video tutorials about mastering, effects and how to use the mixer. I this beat, I just added the drums, your loop did the magic!
I will upload more beats soon, and also I'm making a new project that sounds really good for me!

Hey Bear, I’m happy you look it. When I first heard your “funky guitar” loop, I couldn’t get it out of my head. It got stocked like a melody, so I had to create this track in order to move on… LOL. Your loops tend to have that effect on me. Thanks for the listen my friend. I’m glad I made you proud.

Thanks man. I used to listen to flyod a lot myself many moons ago so perhaps there was some inspiration from them lurking in the back of my mind.
Looking back on it maybe i shouldn't have paid them so much attention because we do actually need some sort of education contrary to what Mr Waters would like us to believe.

As do how I do it..... I have no clue...things just seem to work. I do listen to a lot of music and that helps as everything feels natural. I did spend a lot of time learning, used to skip school to work on music and hang out in the studio and that went on for about 13 years...kinda spent part of my childhood in the studio...as I'm still young. Lol!

Sorry for the very,very late reply.I had the pleasure to be reviewed by Jah on my previous alias and still remember of him sharing his vast technical knowledge on the forum.

The absence of bass was unintentional my friend but im happy how it came out in the end.One of my favourite tracks in all departments.

Always good to hear from you. Thank you so much for the comments and I take it as a great compliment that you compare my instrumentation with Patricia's vocals so positively. I am humbled. Thank you.

I had a lot of trouble trying to get the tempo and the vocal organised on this track and after exchanging emails with Patricia (who suggested I might have some timing issues with it) I decided to chop up the phrases and assemble them around a twelve bar blues framework. I am pleased with the way it's turned out.

Thank you so much for the comments Bear,These are some of my last tracks I'll be able to work on for a while.

Not to be a downer cause' this is not the forum but I have had to sell all my guitars,I lost my car and job and had to take care of my family but my father is helping me with transportation so life will get better.
Any new tracks you here will be from previously recorded guitar parts.

I appreciate your comments and this site,it has changed my life for the better and I'm sure God will provide.

I wish you luck with the Zoom,I don't have to tell you that sometimes you have to spend the time to get it,I call it "turning a lot of knobs for a long time"..and then saving that patch.
A couple years ago when I joined the Loop and started recording at home I wasn't sure what to do cause I'm from the old school of cassette.My computer is old and couldn't handle many recording software programs and neither could I handle them so I bought a Tascam digital porta studio...I could deal with knobs and the Zoom,well I just came out of the stereo out into the recorder.There are a lot of headaches with my primitive methods Bear but it gets the job done and I do get to turn more knobs..lol.I do like mixing the master live with the recorder but I do use Audacity for small edits and final mp3 conversions.
And Yes,Twanna is fantastic!She's not only a great vocal talent,she produces every thing we do together as well as her own...she truly is genius.

If you read my reply to NUADA you'll see how much credit Nick deserves,I actually wasn't sure how to do this with out the whole track to play too and Nick was like "Do what you want...whatever will work" so I sent him this crazy track of me playing to the same loop for several minutes...it's kinda funny cause I had know idea what he was going to do with it until the finished song!
