Just checking through my tracks reviews and noticed I haven't responded to your comments here. My apologies.
I always appreciate your take on my work and particularly comments on the individual bits that make it up. Lots of acoustic guitar on this track (Ovation Celebrity) and most of it the old fashioned way using a mic (old school!) Farisha is such a talent - we need more quality like this.
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and post a review. Appreciate it.
Yesh, you have to finish this one bro. Great chilled vibe that once again shows why you are one of the Loops great producers. Old school, new school, you can do it all.
I'll check back frequently to see if you get it completed. Like the others, wish I had my "Favorite" button back!!!
Ms. Twanna, this is fantastic. My oh my, what a wonderful vibe you have created here, beautiful mix with everything sitting so nicely. The bass line is just wicked good.
Another fantastic effort from one of the Loop's finest. I hope you have been well. Thanks for sharing this one.
Hello...hello...hello Mr. Bear. Thank you so much for stopping by and paying a visit:) I so appreciate you sentiments. As I mentioned to Dylan (SpellJammer) there is a REMIX of this track with bg vox: http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/103147
The speaking part is still there, but it is now a "call & response" type thing.
And I thought Slap Johnson was the only one with talented kids....you showed me, haha. Great job by both of you. As Michael said, the fabulous Kikajon's are one of the best acts on the Loop. Loved the guitar battle at the end....EPIC rock and roll.
Outstanding effort and kudos to both of you. Keep rocking you two.
Outstanding vocals and one of the best bass lines I've heard in a long while. I saw John thought the vox needed to come up a bit....they sounded pretty good on my system.
Very nice work from start to finish. It had me bobbin' and weavin' with the beat.
Hey H, hope all is well. I love the chord progression on this one and the guitar/pad combination is a bit Pink Floydish...very, very nice. Great bass line for sure. Nicely mixed.
Another stellar effort by the king of chill. Well done my friend.
Hey Bear ..thanks mate! much appreciated....I'm diggin this fretless, depending on where you position your right hand you can get so many different tones, from woody jazz all the way to sharp funk..cheers man Dave :)
I think this shows your range, not only in musical styles, but your vocal range in octaves :) This is really impressive work by both you and 520. Thanks for allowing me to twist things a bit. One of the best classical efforts I have ever heard on the Loop.
Ritchie, you nailed this one on the proverbial head. Great instrumentation....sounds like this one was recorded live in 1978 (and that's a good thing).
Awesome mix, and the vocals....well, they are perfect, as usual. Ms. MIM4E is such a huge talent, and together, you two are unstoppable.
This one is definitely ready for prime time. Well done to both of you. Thanks for a trip back in time.
Great to hear from you. The thing is I can remember playing live in 1978 (I was 28 and working in a club band in Chester, UK) and they were good times. I wanted an authentic disco dance feel to the track so pleased with your comments and glad you enjoyed the "retro" feel.
I think I have heard probably hundreds of different versions of this song, but by far, this is one of the best. I loved the blending of the children with your vocals.
Words cannot describe your talent. I would love a copy of this for Mama Bear's Christmas music collection on her IPod if that is possible.
You are sooooooooo good! You took a song I was just about ready to delete and turned it into something very special. I think you already know how big a fan I am of you work......
Thanks for sharing your gifts again and for turning this one into a real winner. You are absolutely brilliant.
Great guitar work on this one....stellar tone, nicely distorted, with that rock and roll growl I absolutely love. I didn't have a chance to hear this without vocals, but the vox definitely belong.
Mix is spot on as well. That you on the lead? If so, awesome work there as well.
Thanks Bear! Yeah that's me on guitar (rhythm and lead), Bass, and drum programming. It's been a while since a launched a full out hard rock assault. I'm glad you liked it man! \m/ \m/ Metal out your ass man!!
I’m really happy you like the song Bear; the beautiful piano loop you created gave me the vision and inspiration for the song.
We “Looperman” are blessed to have talented artists like you who create amazing loops on a daily basis and give it away for free. Now that’s what I call “real love for music”.
Thank you very much for the kind comments and please keep creating wonderful loops for us.
You are bringing the fire on this one!!!!! Great percussion and I love all of the elements you added. If I was a rapper trying to gain some credibility, I would be be all over this one. Nice crisp mix as well.
Outstanding effort :) Thanks for sharing your talents.
Thank you!!! I'm glad you like it bec it took me a while to get the sound I wanted as far as mixing goes but I'm glad it came out pretty good... I love your loops but I jus had to use this one bec it touched me in a way...Thank you for making some of the best loops on this site, hands down...
I know you have this in hip hop, but damn man, this is as close to RnB as you can get.....you remind me a bit of Al Green - if he was a baritone. Great vocal chops.
The recording issues are all things that can be rectified with a good sound engineer and great equipment. Loved the backing track on this one as well.
I would love to hear a duet with you and MusicIzMee4Ever. That would be epic.
Thanks for the comments. We have been working on this since the posting, and it's come a long way; just a few minor tweaks remain. And...ummmmm...I'm not a baritone...lol...perhaps when I am a LOT older.
Another Master's class in musicianship, production, arranging and composing.....which is why you are one of the most respected people on this site. This is marvelous work.
You always set the bar so high with your work and this song is no exception. Amazing and I wish I could find the favorite button :)
Randy, it has been a while. How the heck are you? From the sounds of things, you are still in great form on the guitars :) My God man, you can flat play. The mix is as good as your playing. Another terrific effort from one of the best in the business. I hope life has slowed down a bit for you and you are working less and playing more. Great to hear your tunes again.
So glad to hear from you. Once you left 'Lafango', I didn't know where you went to. Lafango is doing much better now.
Anyway's, I appreciate your glowing review. You have always been one of my favorire artist on here as well.
As for me, yes...I am retired from all work and am making more music. I uploaded a country tune called 'Country Rt-96' last week you might enjoy if you haven't already heard it. Some say it is my best work to date with country.
I am planning on doing a slide guitar Blues tune pretty soon with my Dobro. Takes time to do it right as you well know. I am particular with my productions, and always have them final mastered when I am done.
As I continue to say...my songs will be on the Internet forever, but I won't be! Lol
I'll check out your page here and see what's new there.
Oh man Richie, you flat nailed this one. The timing is what really makes this one special....that and your abundance of talent. Loved the sound of the GR 55 patch. This is just so smooth.
Almost sounds like a hit from the good old days, except it is current enough to be a hit today.
Chris, this is fantastic. The mix is perfect, you have everything sitting so nicely. Have to second Ed, the Strat really is a wonderful touch. What a great way to start out my day.
Absolutely beautiful from start to finish. Thanks as well for the download. A superb track to welcome the Loop back.
Thanks for the kind words Bear. I haven't been on the site in awhile and never knew you had commented. My apologies. It was a one-take. Sometimes things just click. Thanks again
