Nice one Maj - lovely dark sounds and it seems as if every element has found its right place, timbre and tone, damn perfect balance and mix. Sure is set for a rap.
Great!
Hey Micky - well I didnt hear this the first time round but it's glistening like a mirror ball now, real depth in mix, great vocals, gorgeously funky rhythms and very classy all round. I played it again right away : )
Hey, thank you for this nice review. Yes, there's been a huge fat disco ball spinning in the middle of my head the whole time. Thanks for listening, much appreciated.
Great track - good production, beautiful guitar, nice piano, well written and superbly structured and an absolutely stellar vocal performance to boot. For a 'loungeroom' track I have to say this sounds very FM radio friendly. Congratulations : )
Wow, great words Ian! I need to polish it up a bit (theSINGLOT below had a great point) but yeah... it's slowly getting better. Thanks also to you and so many other fantastic people here. Looperman RULEZ!!
A poignant and heartfelt tribute and beautifully arranged and performed - Im thinking your brother would have been very pleased to here this and look forward to the next iteration - thanks for sharing
Thank you pseudoble, Just from the love I've gotten from this track, I realize that it would have been somewhat selfish not to upload it, but every time I tried to listen to it,
emotionally I just couldn't handle it. Some one as gifted as he was deserves me to keep his spirit alive through his music. Thank you again for the listen and reply. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Hey there - nice work, love the warmth and depth in the sound, the almost pop melodic synth lines and gently swelling pads with the artful use of the beats and bass.
: )
Hey - I dont mind the slower start although many people never give a track a chance if it doesnt immediately appeal - the early post intro part of this track very much reminds me of early 'Cure' (no bad thing in my book) and then it gets a little more industrial with some nice cross rhythms happening - I like it and you could certainly build this into a real banger : )
Wow thanks for the feedback. If it's not hurting the ears, it's a win. I hear between tracks for everything I listen to and focus on the groove meat, while the rest becomes the salad, then to another part.
My past was the Cure, Mission, SoM, Nephilim, New Order, NMA and Front 242... but semi pro as Rush, FnM. I generally make complex rhythms as a bassist turned pianist. I hear them all, and it makes sense but not to everyone:D
Woo Hoo - nice one Paul, in terms of feedback, I think eveyone already has it covered - great to hear you giving such a ballsy delivery, great mix of styles in the vocal delivery and fits really really well with the tune, great lyrics, you keep getting better and better at this, etc. The only thing I'd say that might be worth thinking about is the mix sounds a little loud - but having said that I dont think it's clipping - I mean that's what the volume knob is for hey. :)
Congratulations
haha i usually set my master volume at 3/4, i like to here stuff, but i might have to put it to 1/2. all my levels were fine the volume knob is easier though :)) i enjoyed this one mate, im pretty pleased with myself getting the new job, good salary, and perks, and plenty early finishes. it has 3 changes in the song so it was a test to try something new synth pop start to rap. thats what i told Jan i was thinking of doing. hopefully more inspiration will come, lifes positive at the minute for me personally, the economy is still f#cked though like everywhere really
Hey Maj
This has a lovely synth depth, nice attention to detail, gorgeous tone with gentle melodic swirls set to some perfect sounding soft pop beats - one for the after party animal I think : )
Well this is a lovely track, and Im very chuffed that my own recent effort helped to you to find it - it's a better track than mine in my view, has a lot more heart and sounds a lot more real. Nice structure, lyric, arrangement and playing (Im sure too you can polish it more if you want)
: )
Your production values are so much better, and I have to say I enjoyed the structure of your song just fine. I gave it another listen and it's a really excellent track!
Maybe we need to set up an exchange - you produce my track and I do the minimum of (re)arrangements on yours :)
Hey Bl - great live sound happening here thumpingly cool- If someone told me it was a pixie's demo Id almost believe them although it reminds me just a little of the Liars too - but all that is just me orienting to this - youve always had a distinct and creative voice and style and this is just great. : )
thank you pseudoblle :) this was my first try on live tracking. i hate punch in and out. i just got my first console and i have to learn a lot to mix live tracks. i love the pixies and its a great honor that i remind you of them. love from a banana
Hey Michael - big classic rock ballad sound with lovely deep warm thumping bass. Nice work mate - Im sure your vocalist neighbour is chuffed at how good this sounds! : )
wow - such a nice song, well structured too and love the live production sound. the piano is beautiful and the guitar/s are very nice in the mix(and especially the last couple of lead breaks are very classy). Id say the piano sounds sometimes like it's getting a bit of a thumping and perhaps a more deft touch would make the track more refined - but to be honest I really like the powerful sound and expression of this performance. Finally your voice is really excellent of this - Congratulations
Thanks a lot my friend!!
You're spot on for the piano, I also noticed it but wasn't in a mood yet to change it (as I'm now working on "Snow in Athens", the track you inspired :D)
The other thing I want to change is the section with the bridge, which either needs a stronger instrumentation than the section before (the logical way to do it) or maybe a completely naked version, acapella, or maybe a bit more, to highlight the lyrics. I haven't decided there, but definitely I will do both that and redo the keys.
Thanks a lot, that helps!!
Hey BL - always love your voice and equally your lyrics and lofi style - here it's a real contrast to the clean and polished backing track (from Maj) but works beautifully : )
thank you pseudoble, that cheers me up. i really a huge fan of old cassete tapes demo from 80´s to 2000. but it is hard in this modern time. a lot of my local musician friends don´t understand it and they always critisze my for lack of polish. they want to sound like a spotify playlist. but i want more honesty and realness in music. thank you for listening. love from a banana
Hey Michael - nice soft rock pop tune, think it has a bit of an 80's vibe and it does have a nice swing to, some nice flourishes and very classic production sound to it. : )
Nice work Cru - its pushing the genres and in a lovely way more than just heavy metal although that's clearly home base for this one. That little bridge 37 to 40 is so reminiscent of something but I cant put my finger on what. I think democracy is going to be taking a hit unfortunately - well lets hope the music of protest grows stronger and our younger generations have a world to live and love on.
Well, the results are in....not quite yet so we will have to wait and see. It's kind of a metal fusion tune and I wanted to release that pent-up anxiety in a productive way, thanks for coming along the ride.
Too cool - nice tune, great vocal performance, love the instrumentation
The theremini is 650 bucks in Australia! I had better do some of that backlog of invoicing ; )
Oh wow, that's a lot. It was $100 cheaper a year ago, now $400 in America. Totally fun to play, I actually played the notes in the scale I chose. It's versatile in being able to choose the root note and scale and displays the note you are playing, which is very helpful.

Lovely ambience - fantastic drums, and lovely piano work - amazing sound all round .... real muso, real instruments and a wonderful composition, professionalism and class ... hard to match : )

This is a wonderful vocal performance and the guitars are very cool too
A kind of live / slightly indie sound but that give it a lot of authenticity that too much polish might gloss over
