Get Down - what a grove - this would be so wonderful to hear live and loud

Great lyric and vocal, great sound

Long live the humps : )

Cheers man!

Except for the drums, EZ Drummer, it was all played and sung live. Not at the same time though, he.

Hey Michael - nice soft rock pop tune, think it has a bit of an 80's vibe and it does have a nice swing to, some nice flourishes and very classic production sound to it. : )

on Deliverence by crucethus
Nice work Cru - its pushing the genres and in a lovely way more than just heavy metal although that's clearly home base for this one. That little bridge 37 to 40 is so reminiscent of something but I cant put my finger on what. I think democracy is going to be taking a hit unfortunately - well lets hope the music of protest grows stronger and our younger generations have a world to live and love on.
crucethus
crucethus replied 9th Nov 2022 - 3 years ago
Well, the results are in....not quite yet so we will have to wait and see. It's kind of a metal fusion tune and I wanted to release that pent-up anxiety in a productive way, thanks for coming along the ride.

Lovely work Emmani - chill almost ambient gently lilting melodic electro with the softest of glitch

on Pinky and Skinny by theHumps
Too cool - nice tune, great vocal performance, love the instrumentation
The theremini is 650 bucks in Australia! I had better do some of that backlog of invoicing ; )
theHumps
theHumps replied 9th Nov 2022 - 3 years ago
Thanks!

Oh wow, that's a lot. It was $100 cheaper a year ago, now $400 in America. Totally fun to play, I actually played the notes in the scale I chose. It's versatile in being able to choose the root note and scale and displays the note you are playing, which is very helpful.

on Automaton by Killick
Well mate if someone is going to rub off on you Ben (or Bod) is a very fine and pretty creative choice and this track is wonderful, deeply rhythmic and percussive with lovely melodic flourishes too. If Yes and Pink Floyd collaborated to make a river dance track it might sound like this. A very nice trip indeed : )
Killick
Killick replied 22nd Oct 2022 - 3 years ago
Yes and Pink Floyd are both idols to me so I take that as an incredibly high compliment. Thank you sir!

Ian did notice LM is a funny sort of place the track that you think is going to do very well doesn't and the one you think is not does.
I think will have to live and learn!
Thanks, mate.

on Farewell My Lovely by Maj2
This is sweet - love the soft electro beats that shuffle in over the melody. It starts to sound repetitive but not in a bad way, it feels like it's swelling, drawing in a very deep breath and then the little change comes, breathe out ... appropriately melancholic but sometimes that is life hey. Nice work.

Maj2 replied 15th Oct 2022 - 3 years ago
Yes, it is.
I have made it like that to portray the feeling mate.
I have I was successful, evidently I was which is good.

Very cool and uplifting ... more than uplifting ... Im soaring into the heavens, great arrangement, wonderful percs and instrumental breaks and flourishes, seamless transitions and lovely sound production too (to my ears as usual some zappa-esque hints) :)

Glad you checked in, Ian. We want nothing more than to entertain the listener and of course we are always very happy when someone enjoys our tracks. Music is a self-rewarding thing, but when other people like what you do, it's simply the most beautiful thing. In this respect: Thanks for listening and the kind words. Oh, and if it always kind of reminds you of Zappa, that's probably because one of us here is the Chrome Dinette... yeah

on You Dont Know My Pain by crucethus
Always know Im in for a sonic treat when I press play on your tracks - beautiful start, very cinematic/ atmospheric and then it slides into a jungle of beats and dark rhythms and evolves into a kind of very cool dance track before transforming again, with so many variations I feel like I can choose my own adventure ... I still have no idea what phonk is - but this is great : )
crucethus
crucethus replied 15th Oct 2022 - 3 years ago
Thanks, if you want to learn about the history of Phonk, Oldgoon will tell you. DISCLAIMER: ( I am only using elemental ideas of the music and not the whole genre to create stuff like I normally do) I don't want there to be any misleading ideas /S That out of the way my next song will be labeled either "get of my lawn" or "Soundcloud sucks" anyhow rant over, main loops used in the "groove part were." wait for it: From looperman back in 2021:

Oh yeah and some highly distorted Donald trump samples (The Devil himself)
Thanks for listening and your warm and inviting comments.

Hey Michael - I dont know if you've tweaked the reverb on this one but it doesnt bother me as it is, I think it's a gorgeous track - well done. (btw I like the blackhole reverb plugin from eventide - loads of really interesting options with their presets and lots of things to tweak)

Great sounding production with a lovely arrangement too one that really holds interest across the track.

on Ravens by Killick
Ha yeah - epic indeed - I was actually thinking of 2001 a space odyssey listening that start but then you settle into some very serene melodic place that had me thinking of Kansas (the band not the home of Dorothy) especially once that great vocal kicked in. Has a little of a rock opera feel about it and that might be a criticism (in my book at least ) if it wasn't so well done. Nice mix too. Congratulations : )
Killick
Killick replied 5th Oct 2022 - 3 years ago
Lol I'm not sure how one could sound like Kansas the state, I'm imaging a lot of wind and twangy guitar. Anyway, thanks so much. I'm an Opera singer by training but rock has since surpassed it as my favorite genre. So... I suppose Rock Opera is kind of inevitable.
