on All the you love - Demo by Killumineye
wow - what a nice deep kick! actually that "bad" Mike is giving you a live, sort of "small club" sound that is very cool. you never know! like your mix a lot. all the best. peace.

great sounds. great build. love the way you bring it all down at 1:45 or so. it is amazing how fresh a simple piano sounds in these dnb mixes. good choice. great work. look forward to more! peace.

on Stay Back Freestyle by mackeymarshel
believe it or not i kind of think about frank zappa mother of invention on your beat/instruments. it is a neat, sound and yea - satirical quality (which was also in zappa's stuff). nice work - hope you keep goin with it.

Thanks for the feedback! I have heard of Frank Zappa but never listened to any of his music, I will definitely have to check some out!

on AZZYKO - COME ON by AZZYKO
at 1:35 when everything drops out except kick and synth it is powerful as hell. you have a great feel for building it up and breaking it down, and contrasting sections with different sound sets. fantastic! enjoyed a lot!

on Fire away - looking for a vocalist by johnnyproducing
cool grooves! nice sounds and very subtle work. i like the one, short sound that has a "wood" quality to it. did you write this track with the words in mind already? sort of sounds like it. will be interesting to hear with the vocalist. hope you find him/her soon. best of luck with it. nice work!
johnnyproducing
johnnyproducing replied 4th Aug 2014 - 11 years ago
You mean the short sound in the intro?
Likewise to consist out of a layered sound hahaha

Didn't wrote it with the words in mind, it just came to me like this. But I wrote it with the idea of having vocals on top eventually

Thanks a lot for the comment and the kind words midisparks ;)

on In Your Face Instrumental by terrancet
i like your sounds, man. it's a nice beat. what would you be lookin for in a collab. the rap? that's not me. if you want a melody that might work over your beat I might be able to come up with that. nice start - keep goin bro. cheers.

is "trap" genre referring to using traditional trap set in the mix? anyway - I like the way you incorporate some of those standard drum set sounds. very neat mix - crazy actually! fresh! peace.

on IMAGINE by PRINCELECTRO
i like that "wash" effect you use. would really like to incorporate that sometime in a track. violin sound is very nice! maybe your kick could be a bit harder in the "chorus" sections, maybe find another element to add, when you are going for some extra intensity. nice work. keep going! peace. Dan
PRINCELECTRO
PRINCELECTRO replied 30th Jul 2014 - 11 years ago
thanks Dan, i think i like washing :D i always try to use deep effects .

"Intensity" well.. thats the point. you got it. :) i think i should work on that.

all the best

on Hard Dance MIx by FreeRadical
this kind of hard hitting groove is something I aspire to. i am not quite there either conceptually or technically but dam - I'm gonna go there eventually. nothing to say but pure awesomeness. thanks for inspiration my friend. peace. Dan

Thanks. It's worth bearing in mind that i use a lot of pro loops so a lot of it is just a case of arrangement. The acid synths were made using the TB404 bass synthesizer and the 3OSC which you should have hidden amongst your toys in FL. I also used the harmor VST for the basslines. Pretty much the rest of it is just loops but hey ho! If it sounds good then who cares? I don't.

on instru mental by FreeRadical
i liked the gangster movie (or sounded like it anyway) clip about 8:00 in. it is impressive to write over 10 minutes of music in an interesting way. seems this work would be very welcome by the indie stations on the net. hats off on your great work, man.
FreeRadical
FreeRadical replied 13th Jul 2014 - 11 years ago
I won't take too much credit as the bulk of it is just pro loops that i cobbled together and then threw a few synths over the top of. Glad you enjoyed it but it doesn't take much to make a ten minute track when most of it's already been written for you.
Thanks for dropping by.

on Willful Ignorance by Spivkurl
i have never heard anyone manage the lows in a track like you, Pat. the bass is crazy growly. i like the smooth mellow fellow overall and the mix is superb as I've come to expect. these vocal loops are definitely smokin' somethin! peace, buddy.
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 28th Jun 2014 - 11 years ago
Now that is a nice thing to say! I have to admit that *usually* most of my time and thought goes into a well crafted low and low mid range, on each instrument, the mix, and the mastering. The growly sound would probably be due to Ohmicide, which I tuned in how I like it to max out, and then controlled the wet/dry mix to the inverse of some drums... at least I think that's what happened. I was smokin somethin most of the time too, and you can hear it a little. Glad you enjoyed listening! Thank you for contacting me!

rich string writing for sure. then you start layering on these techno sounds and it worked well for me. i like how the piece progresses into something more abstract with various percussion elements, among other elements you use.thoroughly enjoyed. peace.

Thank you, I love that you reference Shaft, maybe the emotion of that seminal piece is reflected in some small measure. I will take that!

on The Prodigal Son by Haran
has an epic flavor to it. what is the movie about? nice job mixing. especially that electric guitar kind of sound about 2:00. beautiful soaring melody in the synth. beautiful work. good luck with it. just out of curiosity - did you really have a collab in mind for this? are you thinking to expand it?
