on Hello my Name is Ra by SpeakUpProd x Gioppop by BananaLu
Hi Lui, I kept thinking about my last comment - I hope banana isn't some sort of insult as that certainly wasn't my intention. All the best, love this track.

Good morning, i woke up and i had to laugh. Banana is the my thing :) i saw interview and Ziggy Jackson just ate Red paprika and some white stuff to record his album. I'm preparing for my album with just banana and rice. I thing banana gives me superpowers and strength like popey and his spinach.

Thank you so much zootmans for your comments. That you let Ra in your heart. I 'm a huge fan of your music and it means something for me. Love from a banana :)

on Smooth Operator - Santana Style ft Karina by Bilbozo
Great version of this song man, sweet guitar works, the latin feel works just fine and lovely rich sound overall. These are summer sounds to me maybe with a marguretta in hand. Looking forward to that!

on Zoe Final Mix by breo
Some very good medicine for a tired and slightly hungover brain. Nice work indeed, cruisy
vox and nice wee synth accents going on. Nice mix and prod too. Well done I enjoyed this one.

This is quite a piece of work man, every time I thought I had it pegged it shifted on me in terms of genre. This could go all sorts of ways. Very cool indeed.

on A Nobodys Melody by ioncewas
Interesting, can't quite make up my mind if I dig the heavy glitch bits or not to be honest but I do like the track overall. I actually think it's pretty inventive and the synths are lovely.

on RETURN TO THE END by eastendkevin
I like real ambient music such as this. This has some great floaty synths, it drifts nicely but at the same time is insistent and has a direction. Cheers.

Happy times Wayne, this definitely made me smile. It lilts and lurches along nicely. Some nice bass in there and the horns and those lovely rich voice all mesh in together amazing well.

on tricky business by bringerofDOOM
U guys are on fire. There's some tricky sounding timing in there, like that section that starts at 1:10. Jynx keys are crazy, love that organ sound. You guys sure know your stuff, it's great to hear.
bringerofDOOM
bringerofDOOM replied 25th Sep 2021 - 4 years ago
Yeah, that solo is intense, especially when the left hand is doing the chords and the right hand is still soloing.

Thanks for the listen. Similar collaborations to come.

on I had a dream by OtherIdeasProduction
This is different! Some cool guitars, and bass actually, along with all the other elements. Wasn't prepared for that first change up but I liked the transformations through this track. And the mix and production sound awesome, you obviously know what you're doing!

Hey Zootman! This time i actually knew exactly what to do, but it was the vocals that really made this song to come alive.

Yeah man,i even surprised myself by inventing that funky section, hahah. I had fun time ,coming up with that ending L+R guitar parts.

Thank you for the compliment!

You been licking toads I reckon. I love these weird musical collages you put together, this is arty as hell and I mean that in a nice way. I loved the sound effect through the intro, and some really cool guitars, especially liked the acoustic at 1:27.

Absolutely love the dreamy music drifting along like a solitary cloud in a blue sky. Drums are beautiful too. Great work Ian.

Hey mate - thanks for listening - Ive done a few recently but although they sounded good were boring!! But trying to do different things so I guess I should expect the results to be more hit and miss. This one is very 'gentle' and for sue one for the headphones but I thought it held enough interest : )

I did just that and enjoyed my journey. Sometimes less is more. This is fine as it is to me, but equally is very open ended for versioning.

Cool inter twining organ parts going on. Build it up with some drums and bass and a swampy bluesy vocal and it would be a cracker I reckon.

on Mole People by theHumps
But where they gonna run to?! One out of the box from you Wayne, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Drums were great and the little breakdowns were cool to spice things up. That telephone sound reminded me of one I used a while back in my reggae tune. It sets the ambience really well. All over noone home. Felt like this could almost have had some down and dirty electric guitar hitting those down beats maybe.
theHumps
theHumps replied 18th Sep 2021 - 4 years ago
I'm gonna use poetic license to answer your question. They just ran away. ;)

Jeff Lynne used a ringing telephone loop in Telephone Line and I remember hearing it in another song(Beatle's song maybe).

Just playing with loops and effects. I thought of elec git but was still sore in the back, just started sitting up in front of a computer actually when I did this.

Thanks!

on priming the psychedelic drive by bringerofDOOM
been missing your guys particular madness. not sure what i liked the best, the periods of semi sanity and reflection, or the full on fusion of funkiness and jazz. crazy good sound and mix too.
bringerofDOOM
bringerofDOOM replied 8th Sep 2021 - 4 years ago
Well, had to get some work stuff lined out and ready to bring the madness back after the "period of reflection" (you pretty much nailed it). Also if been messing around with a cover band so I learned like 90+ songs in a week. I used it to study song structure, which I had never actually done, because I never bothered to learn any songs (since I know most of the theory). I have a new respect for learning simple songs.
