Hey Robin, it's cool. I really liked the music you created for the vocal. I wondered if the drums might have been better left a bit cleaner but I'm probably wrong. Loving the keys. That guitar in the background sounds like a harpsichord or is it vice versa?!
Hey Chris How goes man. thanks for the listen and comment yeah like i said to paul i hummed and hayed about the drums may still go back to it. yes it was a guitar but i must be doing the wrong fx for it lol and the settings i like a tweak to buttons haha. cheers again man :)
Early morning present for me... gorgeous mate. Sounds awesome. Those synth runs at the 1:25 mark are beautiful. Fx all totally on point. Sounds really different the way you changed the key from the original. Still think you should feature more of your tracks and give them at least one run through there. Cheers for all your work. Will download when I have the PC on. All the best, Chris.
Nice work Aaron, production sounds a bit different on this one maybe, a bit warmer or dirtier? Anyway, excellent composition, one of my favs from you I think.
Hey man, thanks for checking this one out. I used one of my favorite movies faces and I layered it as an extremely dirty salsa and that's where that Reese in the background of this one is coming from I really like how it turned out. The one that I'm going to post here in a second I use sounds that were all intended for different genres of music then I make usually and an old kit Ive had since I first began producing years ago. Pretty stellar results too but check it out for yourself if you got time I'm getting ready to post it. -Aaron
I find it relaxing too. Messing with different cabinet emulation, distortion, and filter parameters over time has been pretty fun. Thanks for listening and commenting.
The invitation of sky, the kindness of wind... I'm a botanist so I can relate to this! Beautiful track, calming and peaceful. Uplifting too. The plant itself doesn't look like fun if you had to go through it lol.
This made me quite emotional for some reason. Maybe the rawness of it. Great track man. I saw it a while back, never got a chance to listen, but I tracked it down!!
Hey mate im happy to hear your response. Been away dealing with complications for a bit, this is def my cathartic side on display. Looking forward to catching up w the loop soon. Good to hear from you, Chris
Love this track. Your voice is great, lyrics are awesome. Melody is catchy as hell. I also like the fairly minimalist backing track. Very weird and disturbing back story...
Thanks for the feedback. I was on the fence for the minimalism. Nothing I added really added value so I just let it stay like this. The vocals are not centered or mixed very well, but I liked the sloppy disco vibe in the end. It sounds all wrong to me. It was fun though :)
My new Epiphone Les Paul Jr is pretty darn awesome, it's amazing how many tones you can get with one pickup. Plus it's a third cheaper than a Gibson, I feel like I'm stealing from them when I buy these new guitars.
I've listened to your music before and enjoyed it, as I did this one. Too bad you can't really edit or play with this some more. But it is very good as it is. Natural and real and you spin a good tale. I'd agree with Danke in that some additional vocal would sound good and fill it out a little.
I'm pondering simply re-recording. I got a new microphone - a Scarlet Studio. I've been recording with Blue Yeti and this one was recorded with a Snowball. Now I have the Scarlett, although I feel like it makes my voice reedy and thin.
Man this is loud! I think. Not a genre I know much about but it all sounds good to me. I like the emergent synths and how they expand and build, nice tension and release. Sweet bro!
thankyou so much Chris just to read that one word believable means everything to me, all artist want to create music that others can relate to, overthinking is something a lot of people do especially those with mental health issues, and although comments are a bonus to receive and should never be expected, as deanp recently wrote me they give you motivation for an otherwise thankless task, so thanks for your motivational comment, i wrote 5 tracks in one session all to looper colleagues hence my rapid staging my next is powerful too and the message i deliver, watch out for it bro
Kia ora my friend. Man this sounds amazing. Bass line is delicious, love the synth work and the drums are fantastic. Those fills are fire. Just a total vibe all round. Thanks so much, I love it to bits. Will download when I've got the computer on.... You sure you were never in Salmonella Dub? This isn't the first time I've thought that with your musical style lol.
I like what EDM said. There is a balance to be struck between encouragement and good (constructive) criticism. The occasional person here seem to take offense at the smallest things, but that's a small minority I think. I'm not one of them. Personally, I like to hear honesty and tips/comments on mix/production and the actual creative content. On this track, I'm slightly embarrassed as I didn't notice anything untoward with the bass when I listened in my headphones.
You are right that some people cannot accept advice or constructive criticism. This may be because they are very insecure or because they think they are too good. I also choose honesty. Honesty is very important to me in all areas of life. As I told EDM, it may be that your headphones hear more higher tones and that's why you didn't notice that my beat had too much bass.
Catchy beat and synth lines Rita. I wonder what would happen if this was in 3/4 time ?! Cause it almost sounds like a waltz as it is, tho it isn't. Gosh what am I on? Sent you a track by the way. Zoot.

Personally I found this kinda relaxing. I've barely scratched the surface of the creative possibilities of automation. This makes me want to try more.

Thought you'd got the hump and left, but luckily not! Very good to hear your music again. Funny story and the song and guitar and drums are solid.

This is cool. Had a nice positive peaceful vibe. Different. It's almost ambient trap. The repetitiveness works for me too.
