on TRAVELING THRU THE OLD WEST by AbnerB
I was getting visions of a horse and rider ambling thru a canyon and echoes, then lying flat on my back at night with the Milky Way wheeling overhead. Basically this is a damn fine and relaxing ambient piece.

I made a spaghetti Western type thingb recently, but very different to this, more of a piss take that I ended up really liking lol. It's called Western Spaghetti...

Hey Chris, I gotta agree with u man. Ive been fanboying since the beginning bcuz J.Holmes was the MC that made me want to be one. He and my brother have been best friends since high school, and Im 10 years younger than they are. So id hear him just freestyling and I was in awe man. He is still just next level, its almost effortless for him and it keeps me in the booth long after everyone else is gone, just practicing. It makes me indescribably happy when you guys vibe with our songs. It gives us something to hold onto, and the confidence to experiment and think outside the box. We've always done music, we were just too stupid to hit record on it until my brother forced us to. With literal force in Rob's case lol. Thanks for the support man. And I wish u could sit with him, too. So hed try to teach u instead of me. He might as well be speaking Japanese to me, man. But u have experience already, so youd grasp it much better than i ever will. I do know that he either already has uploaded some loops here, or is planning to really soon. And alot of it is drums.

Fusion sounds right, rock and funk and psych maybe....

Thanks! I never know but recently people said fusion and prog rock (but Looperman doesn't do Prog I think)

on The Only Girl In Town by BaoBou
Far out, you kicked it up a gear with this one. Synths are cool and nice thick guitar tone. I forget what you play? Les Paul or something? Anyhoo, super tight and groovy. Cheers Chris.

I have a Heritage 535 which is sort of a Gibson 335 (look up the story of Heritage guitars, they continued the old Gibson factory in Kalamazoo). The keyboard is a Roland FA-06, the bass a Warwick rock bass and the drums a Roland TD-07 into EZdrummer 3. That's all, for this one :)

on Ghost in the Shell by BananaLu
Hello Banana, I have a complaint - it's too short. I love your phrasing, it's so non linear, and your voice of course, goes without saying. I got some Jim Morrison flashbacks actually. Groovy tune and guitar too by the way. Good to hear you again brother. Cheers Chris.

Woah man, I'm loving this one. Atmospheric and ethereal but going somewhere too. Super slick! I could listen to an extended mix no problem. Cheers Chris.

on You can take a 100 shots at me by TheFrenZ
I probably wouldn't have picked this as a natural colab but I'm my opinion it works just fine. Words of strength, defiance and determination from Paul coupled with your pretty cool electro music. Yeah! Nice one.

TheFrenZ replied 15th May 2026 - 1 week ago
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Yes, you're right, it's not that obvious, but that actually makes it even more interesting.

on KEEP IT MOVING by kingmt77
Kicking back after a long day, I'm thinking what do I want to listen to? Check on LM and a new one from you, all right! Nice energy to this. I'm not sure if you've got a weird time signature going on but I couldn't seem to find the start and end of a bar! I liked the quirky ending too. Cheers Chris

Chris, thanks for taking out the time and checking this one over. The one section went from 4 to 5 then 7/8 and back. I kinda like feel, but I will push it more. I appreciate your observations.

Goodmorning Chris.
I'm glad you like it. That part you were hoping for more of, maybe the sentence after it could indeed have worked just as well.

Love the build, production sounds fantastic thru my headphones. To me this shares a vibe with Massive Attack's dark opus - Mezzanine. Great track. Cheers Zoot

Thank you so much, Zoot!
It means a lot to me that people have noticed a difference compared to the first version. I spend a lot of time watching tutorials, haha, to better separate the sounds, give them their due, and balance the volumes.
Best regards, Juan Carlos

on Breathing In The Light by juankar
This is real ear candy to me. It's truly beautiful. And I actually love the production. It's not over produced which to me is very good. You really don't need lots of flash expensive plug ins. Don't get sucked into the hard core marketing. I use Reaper. I know Frenz does too and he uses a lot of the stock plug ins. When it comes down to it, trust your ears and your gut and your own artistic vision. Cheers bro. Zoot.

juankar replied 8th May 2026 - 2 weeks ago
Thank you so much for your kind words; they mean a lot to me coming from artists like yourselves. I write simple compositions to learn. Composition is difficult for me because I don't know music theory; it's all done by ear, using a Circle of Fifths to combine chords. I use Reaper and free plugins, and I barely use any effects because I don't know how to use them, haha. I've been struggling with mastering for a week now, as I had no idea how to do it. Today I'll upload the same song mastered so you can give me your opinion and I can see what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks again, and best regards, Juan Carlos

on Promised Sky org Music Fate by Cyberflare by Cyberflares
Nice one guys. You know I feel like Manuela and her band are creating some wonderful music lately. Like they went up a notch or two. Anyway there's a kind of urgency in her delivery in this which I really enjoyed.

Manuela and co did a similar thing with one of mine, called Rising Tide. I love it, should feature it again. Cheers brother.

on Black Sunday Ft Zootman and Dragonbeard by TheMonzderSquadd
I don't know if I deserve a feature but thanks! Was interesting to try something on a different genre and vibe, though I guess some of my own stuff is also kinda dark. But this is next level midnight witching hour. Nice one guys. Cheers Chris.

Nice one Paul, nice bitter sweet vibe on it and a good vocal over a really lovely track. I've got a focus rite 2i2, and a Shure SM58 too lol. Both work just fine on my opinion.

on 8 Billion Doves by Kayos2
Your voice dances and trips around more than ever on this one. I keep expecting it to fall over but of course it doesn't! I don't know how you do it. The music is fantastic as always. Like the bed of flanged guitars a lot. Lyrics are sweet as too. Wouldn't that be nice? It's achievable. We just need to get rid of all these silly old men running the show.

Beautiful track, great listen. Definite fav from me. Liked it from the get go with the glitchy beat and gated ? background vocals. The sounds you've used work great together and the mix has a lovely full softness to it. Coolio. Cheers Chris

on I m so British by Kayos2
Classic. This made me laugh out loud when the first drop hit with the horns. And the slurp! There's an interesting dichotomy with your humorous lyrics and vocals against quite an ominous and dark musical landscape. Very cool. By the way, I emailed that track but don't sweat it....toodle pip.
