Lovely minimal piece. Reminds me of an album Tosca did in a similar vein. I read with interest the comments on ecological degradation. As an ecologist by trade, I'm always amazed at nature's ability to recover and restore itself. So that gives me hope that Gaia, our mother, might heal herself given the chance. But I'd also certainly agree we're way past living sustainably. In fact I find the use of that word a bad joke. Anyway, a nice calm and melancholic melody you created.
Well everyone has already said it's a little different to your usual work, and that's true. Maybe it's just the drums that are a little more modern. I really like this one mate. Took a while for the vocals to come, but when they did, they were crystal clear. And I very much enjoyed the lyrics (always a failing of mine, listening to lyrics lol). Your guitar work at the end of this reminds me a little of Mark Knopfler. Great stuff my friend.
The lyrics are so sad!! But what an epic rock ballad, amazingly well played, sung and produced, though I've come to expect no less. Xstokes said it, you guys are impressively versatile with the music you create. Fantastico.
Thank you for your great praise, I really appreciate it! This time my daughter wrote a really sad text. But I think that the lyrics unfortunately also reflect the hopeless situation of many women who are represented here in this song by Mary. But the song is also intended to give a little hope to people who find themselves in an almost hopeless situation. There are people who want to help and do it!!!! Kind regards Manuela
This is great bro, that bass and dark vibe mixed with the keys and minimal, delicate synth sounds hit me just right. Hope the new job is going sweet as. All the best from Down Under.
Hey brother, thanks for checking this one out. The new gig hasnt produced much fruit yet, mainly bcuz I'm still struggling to find vocalists. it's crazy to me. I've got a direct path to release, too. Ill keep hoping. Meanwhile, I'll be posting a few more pieces that will be in similar to this one.
I always listen to your music when I'm around Micky, it's always interesting, always top notch production. This is really nice funky rnb. Typically dense to my ears. Actually, the timbre of her voice isn't dissimilar to yours (though maybe I'm imagining that or you did some backing vox too?!). And man, that guitar break at the 3 min mark is so sweet. By the way, I still have the track you sent me sitting in my DAW but haven't got to it yet I'm afraid.
Hi Chris, no, these are just Twanna's voices... I'm glad you like the track. By the way: just wait a little longer if you're considering doing something on my track. Of course I have changed something again and it could be that it will have a slightly different feeling. I'll send you an update... Cheers, Micky
cool man, dig the words and delivery. defy the program, defy the code - I try to do that with my own programming but its hard lol. Maybe it's easier for a machine.
I'd settle for 25, maybe, when I wasn't so mixed up! Lovely track, like xstokes to me this feels like a slice of Americana country style, apart from the jazz combo of course. Keys are outstanding and yes, your voice is sweet. The song evokes a nostalgia for past innocence, excitement and anticipation.
Hey, did your life start so late *laughs or do you want to hide what came before *smile. Seriously, thank you for your nice message and praise, which I would be happy to pass on to everyone else. A little nostalgia is nice sometimes, right? Kind regards and a good night with beautiful dreams Manuela
Kia ora bro, this is unreal. I hear the raw emotion in it and the words nearly brought a tear to my eye, whether or not it is for real or not. I suspect it is. Flick me a line sometime if you need to. I hope everything else in your life is going well. Take care bro, aroha from Down Under.
How is Aotearoa my friend? Yes this is a true story. 2023 and 2022 kicked my ass with death man! I'll hit you on the telly if you want bro. Email me your number! Easier to speak it out than to text.
Well I can certainly agree with the sentiment. Faved on that basis alone lol. But I like the track too. Bit like being hit over the head with a brick. To the point. Nice work!
Hey Buddy - just increased the vox at 128 as it dipped and increased 3 of backing track volumes very slightly at 137ish (still dips but not as much as the first 'last' mix). I can hear the difference if you want to compare to the original download
It's really good. Mix sounds great. Missed your singing lately. The tempo sounds fine to me but did you pitch it down when you slowed it? Your voice sounds deeper.
hey, thanks for your comment :) it was my voice normal pitch, just singing with my larynx dropped. ive sang on it again, let me know if this is better :)
I have a real love of minimalist ambient and this is a great example. Delicate. Sparse but engaging all the way, nice mix of elements. I did a drone thing myself the other day called composition 7. Lovely listen before I go to sleep, thank you.
Cool intro man. This has an impulsive energy to it that keeps driving it forward and the samples definitely give it a cinematic feel. Some good variation in the dynamics too. Top job Aaron.
Hey brother, thanks for checking out my work. I've got a lot of stuff coming out of my brain lately, I've got more to post. I'm glad u liked this one man
Must have missed this one previously. Very cool and great concept. Definitely got SciFi vibe going on. Yep, I think it needs some totally wild screaming synth somewhere along the line. Well done bro.
I always check out what you post. I enjoy the raw punk attitude you seem to convey. I enjoyed this too. I think you should keep at it, improve the mix a little. But still liked it as is.
Beautiful and totally arresting in it's apparent simplicity. Loved the processing on the vox. I knew from the wave form this would be something different and cool! Keys at the end are worth waiting for. Somehow I knew they had to be coming... Great stuff for me.

The force was with you on this one, or maybe it was the mushroom tea ... Bit of an ear worm this one. Cool lyrics too.

I think I need to read some of this poet. A perfect accompaniment to a great track. If has a 'devil may care' attitude.

Very cool track. Love the vibe. Like the buried vox and sound effects. Guitars are awesome. Great to hear that good rock is as alive and kicking.
