Hi there. Yes cool track. I'd say it would work very well with any of the genres you mention. I like Surge too. I only have free synrhs, others I like are TAL Noisemaker (basic but nice analogue sound), Podolski by U-He, and Massive. Cheers Zoot.

Hi, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. Glad you liked the track. Yeah, Surge is a great synth. I had Noisemaker years ago, I should download it again really. The U-He synths are awesome as well.

on Normal by TheFrenZ
I love this track. Fun, whimsical, upbeat. Love the hypnotic beat and bass. And all the different elements coming in and out. I also like how you use your voice as an instrument in this and other tracks I've heard. Reminds me a bit of kraftwork or tangerine dream or something. Sounds great too in terms of production.

Thanks, glad you like it. In the beginning I picked up the rule "Every 4 to 8 bars a change" to keep the listener focussed, I still try to adhere to that rule. Our voice/mouth can be used for so much more than just speach or singing, I experiment regularly with it, just take serious out of the equation and have fun :-)

Kia Ora man. Always good to hear anything of yours, never know quite what you're going to get and whatever it is it's always interesting. This is no exception. It's got a nice vibe and bouncy beat and I like the buried vocal too. That made me smile when it hit the change up section. Cool stuff indeed. Spot ya Zoot.

I think it's a really great song it's catchy. I like the lyrics and the melody, and the track itself, specially the guitars, sounds cool. Mix might need a bit of work (bit rich me saying that) but then again I'm only listening on my little computer speaker. Nice one man! Cheers Zoot.

Thanks for taking a listen and providing some feedback Zoot! Yeah, currently in the process of mixing the whole thing down now, I added a bunch of ear-candies to the newest version so I'm at the fun part of trying to get everything to cooperate in the mix! I appreciate your kind words!

Nice work. Lots of movement. I was almost getting Enya or Lorrenna McKennit vibes in places.

on Out of my mind feat Junior Paes by fanisatt
Great choice of vocal. You made a great track with it, your music is the perfect backing. Do you play all the instruments? Well done!
fanisatt
fanisatt replied 17th Jun 2025 - 6 months ago
Oh yes Zoot I play all the instruments ....here and everywhere - piece of cake for me....hahahahaha
I am not a skilled musician my friend !!!! I could have been a real-time entertainer much earlier - not any more. I started with an accordeon which was accidentally worn on me upside down when I was 4 years old, resulting in me having a very fast left hand but not a right one.....
Later, when we bought the first organ, I had to learn to play normally with both hands.... So , I play keyboard !! I make music on midi level exclusively . Midi means FLEXIBILITY !!! So I can use midi banks and midi loops to cover all instruments. Not only the percussion but also the rhythm guitar is programmed at midi level. Basic knowledge, a lot of organization, even more patience and good ears are required !
You know....when you don't have legs you will be forced to use a wheelchair!! But even if you have 4 legs.... to go from Athens to Paris you have to get on air plane !!!!!!
Cheersssssssssssssssss !

It's a very good track. I like the lyrics too, nice that you provided some for someone to potentially work with. I struggle with lyrics often. I'm not up to singing on this but I hope you find someone. Cheers Zoot.

on Neoclassique Lo Fi by AnthonyAttard
Hi Anthony, it's different, I like it! As others have said it has some old school soul or rnb vibes thanks to the horns. But the strings throw it into something else again. Very creative, well done! Zoot.

I very much like it sounded different to you Zootman, but as I understand it did not sound badly. Been creative is something I always try and I am very glad you say so.

on i will miss you dearly by LoyaSauce
Man this is a beautiful piece of music. Love it very much. As someone said, the vocals could be a hair higher on the mix. Don't be afraid to bring them forward, they're very good. And I love your lyrics too. Tumeke bro.
LoyaSauce
LoyaSauce replied 12th Jun 2025 - 6 months ago
Thanks for your kind words :) and yes you're right, I agree that the vocals could be higher. On bandlab, there's a plugin where you can reduce the noise so the "ess" and "t" sounds aren't as prominent, guess I overdid it this time haha

Man I liked this from the get go with that kind of loping bass line. It's also pretty cool to hear you sing, I think maybe you should do more of that cause it's really very good. And a serious topic too, I can relate. Well done man, nice work.

on Pin Cushion Medicine by ValveDriver
Far out man, this is such a heavy track. The mix is amazing. It could easily be a heavy metal track too but it doesn't need the guitars cause the synths and bass and percussion do the job to the max. Going back and looking at some of the conversation around this track - yeah that song Would is amazing. He was a fantastic singer. And didn't Andrew Wood inspire the Temple of the Dog album too? Brilliant stuff anyway man. Zoot.
ValveDriver
ValveDriver replied 31st May 2025 - 6 months ago
Hey Zoot, what's happnin'?
It's funny that you say this could be a metal track, too. I have a remix that has the guitars, bass and metal drums in place of the synths. This version was far more menacing, as it was intended. I may still use the metal version for something else though. It's not plagiarism when it's your own, right?
Yes. Andrew Wood was the main inspiration for Temple of the Dog. Cornell basically made the album as a tribute and as a way to deal with Andrew's death.
Hey, thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Take care.

BullittVolante
BullittVolante replied 31st May 2025 - 6 months ago
Hi Zoot, thanks for your feedback, glad you liked the track. I haven't read any of Rupert Sheldrake's books, but I was interested in his proposed theory of morphic resonance though, hence the song title. Thanks again.
