JAZZ MASTERPIECE - the funky piano and cute female vocal towards end - the bass is something else and the way it weaves together for layers of sound is genius

Take a break from the jazz?! NOOO!! Ah, well, We can always go and listen to the stuff you've already got uploaded. Just make sure you come back to it, we absolutely love it man. We can see that you have a comment from Banana Lu - He is one of the reasons the Squadd came to be because of his hard work in our earliest days, and because of how much he championed us. We can never repay that kind of debt, but there's always a place for him in the group. If you have never heard our early songs, most of them feature Lu. My personal favorite is "Getting Away" and its on our page, if youd like to hear it. Anyway, thanks for being a friend to the Squadd, Mark!

The SQUADD is my SQUADD! Believe it! Banana Lu was one of the first that welcomed me when I started uploading tracks on the Loop. He breathes life and encouragement like no other. Back in the day if your track passed inspection, He would " Shake The Banana" of approval LOL! I'll check the works from your collab.

The jazz ain't done as of yet. I've got a lot of ideas I want to lay out. I'll keep everyone posted. Thank you for the stop thru and convo. Enjoy your weekend.

Stankface activated, im a simple man. I just need that bass entry. Your mixes evolved, bold choices. Keep it moving is a celebration of latin inspired jazz. That little skat female thing got me. Crazy Ideas, and you let every section be it self , they never try to outdo each other. Very tastfull use of special fx like wah. Your a humble musician,. In my opinion, don't stop with jazz. I would imiditly buy a whole jazz latin fusion ep from you.

BananaLu! Stankface confirmed!:) It's been a minute. Very good seeing you out and about on the Loop. Gratitude for stopping by and checking this one. Also the detailed critique is invaluable. My mixing and arrangement focus must bring clarity and cohesion between all instruments and timbres and tones. And that because my tracks tend to be busy. Again gratitude for the compliments.

Peace,

Mark

The bass and sax are incredible, Mark, and the rhythm is crazy in the best way. I can imagine a lady in a red dress moving through the centre of it all, dancing samba with effortless flow, while the band in Spanish hats surrounds her, locked into the groove and playing like the whole night depends on it.

What's good BB! Thanks for stopping through. I'm glad you liked what you heard.

That vocal was generated through IK Multimedia's ReSing. In this instance, I dropped that piano melody section into ReSing. It's really a great app and it's easy to use. Best of all Its FREE!

Here's the link if you want to check it out.

Also I use Universal Audio's Plugins extensively! I personally think they are the best. UA is got a free bundle. You gotta check this one out.

Mark i didn't expect anything less, that jumped out my speakers on 9.5 secs, great sound-stage. i know I'm repeating myself, but from my earliest comments to you, i always mentioned the space that you give each instrument, they all shine on their turn in the spotlight but simply sit alongside each other in such a tight jam, love all the little riffs and touches , the percs, your sound design is excellent.
jazz is in your heart as we know, so i don't expect you to be away from it to long, it will drag you back in, but i am now looking forward to what genre your going to bring, do you have a plan in mind or are you just gonna go on feeling, whatever you choose is irrelevant really because i know it will be a knocking piece anyway, well done yet again bruv a good friend and a wonderful talent within our community

Paul! Your listening ear and critique is always treasured. It's also a high honor for this track to give those PreSonus speakers a good breaking in! LOL! It's good you found everything in tip top order. I can count on you to let me know if my levels are out of whack.

What I'm feeling is an world/cinematic/classical/ambient/ with just a pinch of jazz thrown in for good measure. I'm still hashing out the ideas. The encouragement and compliments are received humbly. I do what I do just for the listeners like you bruv! Have A Chilled Weekend my friend!

What do you mean by a jazz break? I believe you can't change what runs in your veins, King, jazz is inevitable. That's the beauty of musicians like you; it's become part of your very nature, and escaping it seems impossible, thank God.
The track is fantastic, with each instrument playing its part beautifully. I'd love to hear more of the vocals, theyre playful and exotic.
Best wishes, Anthony

The bass is super cool on this and I love it when the piano kicks in. Really upbeat, those drums are awesome. The song really flows and very instrument get's it's turn to shine, like all good jazz. The whole track has a slight 70's cinematic feel to it. A very cool song indeed.

Noooooo, don't stop making jazz!
This is really good.
You have to have a special gift to make these compositions. That sax, the bass rhythm, the piano, and the precision are incredible. The vocals at the end were the icing on the cake, beautiful.
It's the work of true professional artists.
Congratulations! I really enjoyed listening to it.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...
