Defiant lyrics, and always defiantly yourself mate. Which is a good thing cause it keeps things authentic. I've just been up in Auckland to see David Byrne perform which was a bit of a dream fulfilled for me, being a long time Talking Heads fan. Anyway, nice work mate. Cheers Chris.

It's cool Rita, of course! Your music too? Sorry to hear you're not mending well, I hope things get better. All the best, Chris.

Thank you so much Chris.
Unfortunately, not my music.
I have beats I sing to, but most of my beats aren't the kind I can sing to. It's often a matter of luck that leads me to create a beat I can sing to, like my beat and song "I Gave You Gold, You Gave Me Rust."

on Sweet Nothings Original Mix by MisterBloodworth
Nice! Laid back, first thought when the beat dropped was, what a great sounding bass and bass line. I like the loose relaxed feel of this one. Cool without trying to be. Lovely synth work too. Cheers Zoot.

on Theologia Ex Machina by ValveDriver
You are not your body, you are not your mind.... I'm not sure if I find that comforting or disturbing. This is a very cosmic trip man. And is that the same poet you put on an old track of mine, lady Lazarus?? I need to listen to this a few more times to understand it I think. But the music itself is thoroughly cinematic, brooding and full of menace and danger. Interesting trip, Cheers Chris.
ValveDriver
ValveDriver replied 17th Jan 2026 - 5 months ago
If I remember correctly, Chris, the poet I used on Lady Lazarus was Sylvia Plath. The lady in this one is some random lady I found claiming to have had an interaction with Mother Mary and St. Michael. The male vocals are from someone reading the Prayer of St. Michael. I just processed them. Heavily.
I'm going to take "interesting" as a compliment. Mainly because I like to make art that makes people think. Not only in music, but in my drawing and painting as well.
Either way, thanks for having a listen, and leaving some feedback.
Take care.

on Whispers by AnthonyAttard
Hey man, this is really cool. I like it a lot. It's different without seeming like trying too hard to be. Some interesting chord changes too. I like the subtlety of it. Great sound too, I like the saturated, thick sound of it. Cheers Chris.

Hello Chris
It is so nice to hear you liked the track...actually I was unsure about the possible reaction to it by listeners that are musicians. There is dynamics in all this, and I don't mean the song of course, I mean the interaction with AI, in various levels. The sound is something that always needs a lot of care during such a procedure but it also needs certain knowledge that I unfortunately lack. So it is just my "taste", it is how I try to present what is essential in a song..I really try.
Best wishes, Anthony

on Sankofa by Kayos2
This is brilliant! From the composition to the vocals and harmonies, to the beat and the beautiful clean guitar lines. Truly love this. Sounds like what I remember King Sunny Ade sounding like when I discovered African music for the first time. .. Could be wrong on that though, I'll have to go back and listen. How about a Fela Kuti type thing next?!! All the best, Chris.

Party on dude! Latino EDM.... Sounds fantastic. I wouldn't even need a shandy to get up and dance to this one. .... Well maybe a tequila or two. Great sound on this too. Bass is crushing it and the top end sparkles. Cheers Zoot.

Beautiful! Really emotional sounding piece. You should be proud. I love the spaces in the intro and outro and how you leave it hanging. Chord progression is lovely, drums work great to build things up and let it down again. Great stuff my friend. Cheers Zoot.

Danke! Huge riffs, huge sound. Immaculate production. I was getting some Rage Against the Machine vibes on this one.

Going to play this to my son Manu, he'll definitely dig it. He's teaching himself drums at the moment.

Happy New Year bro. All the best to you and your family. Cheers Zoot.

on Trapped - The Monzder Squadd Ft Rita by TheMonzderSquadd
Far out man, I wouldn't have picked this as a natural fit for a colab, but you guys really nailed it. Ritas vox really draw you in. Cool contrast with your vox. Nice one! Chris.

on this song is called who is she by monkwee
Nice to get another Monkwee fix. Cool track as always, there's always been something that draws me into your music.

I like the muted vocals a lot. Now I'm no expert, but to me there's some low end frequencies that are muddying the vox a little too much in places. Maybe a high pass ?

on Giving Me This Feeling by LNTL
Hi again, this isn't really the forum for this chat but never mind. It is pretty crazy man. Yeah Polly rings a bell for sure. Maybe she was the understudy of the older women tattooist. I bought that bike off Norvil for 20 quid.

Privatisation eh? Not a fan of the profit motive.

All the best, Chris.
LNTL
LNTL replied 29th Dec 2025 - 6 months ago
Haha thats classic you bought it. So funny that a random meeting on a music site can lead to discussing Norvils bike.
Have a good New Year my friend!

on Giving Me This Feeling by LNTL
Early 90s to be exact but hey. I remember SAS, had a lot of respect for what they did, raising awareness and pushing change. It'was something I felt strongly about. I'm an ecologist/botanist now but was a nature child back then... Still am I guess. Never got to st Agnes tho. There's a few local characters I knew from Newquay tho,. Like Norvil No Sense (don't know his real name). Had a Mohawk and a little dog and rode around on an old BMX bike. He introduced me to the women who was tattooist there at the time. And then there was the guy from Manchester who was our go-to for scoring hash.....so chances are.... three degrees of separation and all that.

LNTL replied 28th Dec 2025 - 6 months ago
In the end we got the water here cleaned up by forcing change through the European Parliament. For 20 years it worked pretty well. Unfortunately since leaving the EU successive governments have turned a blind eye to our privatised water companies discharging raw sewage back into the sea every time it rains.
I used to see that guy with the mohawk cruising with his dog n bike combo all the time, and yes I think his name was/is Norvil. Im guessing the tatooist might be Polly? - she cruised around in a van a lot - I met her in Taghazoute in Morrocco around '92 but I know she lived around Newquay as my mates up there all knew her also - infact my ex has one of her inkings. Like you say degress of separation, the world can truly feel like a small place sometimes. It's not really, it's fkn huge which makes meeting you on here pretty unlikely and quite a pleasant surprise.

Thanks brother :) It so funny you were in Newquay in the mid 90's. Im from St Agnes (Aggy) just down the coast and was working for Surfers Against Sewage at that time - maybe you came to one of the parties we organised..? I gotta admit tho my memory of it all is a bit blurry - crazy rave days but a great time to arrive in the UK.

on Epitaph - The Monzder Squadd by Pnnywze
Mate this fusion works really well. Guitar sounds great in the mix. It's not the same but it put me in mind of Rise Robot Rise from back in the day. Pretty obscure group from the 90s fusing rock, hip hop, a bit of funk and metal.
Pnnywze
Pnnywze replied 28th Dec 2025 - 6 months ago
Hey Chris - I appreciate you saying so dude. We kinda grew into this style group-wide, so it is our main Go-to sound, and I'm damn proud of it! Ive heard of Rise Robot Rise, surprisingly. I grew up in that era, and I had a friend in my teens (The Singer of my very 1st Band, actually) that always listened to more hip stuff than the rest of us did - The Flaming Lips, Butthole surfers, Clutch, Ministry, The Melvins, stuff like that - and the group u mentioned was something he introduced us to. Anyhoo - I wanna thank u for still being a friend and supporter 6 years after I uploaded my first song here. U were the second person I ever spoke to in the community. Time flies huh?

on How Many Times Have I Told You - Remix by ValveDriver
Killer track Aaron. Everything sounds amazing, mix included. Didn't listed to ministry back in the day but maybe I should. I think I'll play my 14 year old son this track, I think he'll dig it. Cheers Zoot.

Zoot, how are ya, man? Well, I hope.
Thanks for the listen and the comment. I appreciate it.
Ministry has been on regular rotation in my playlists since about 1989. Even in my tracks where I'm not intentionally going for that vibe (like this one), they still show up in some way or another.
I'm flattered that you would think to show this to your son. I know you've said in the past that he's become quite the metal head. Let me know what he thought of it.
Take care, mister.
Aaron.
