Goodmorning Chris.
I'm glad you like it. That part you were hoping for more of, maybe the sentence after it could indeed have worked just as well.

Greetings from Rotterdam

Love the build, production sounds fantastic thru my headphones. To me this shares a vibe with Massive Attack's dark opus - Mezzanine. Great track. Cheers Zoot

Thanks man. I'm very glad if it sounds good, I'm still learning how to do mastering properly.

This is awesome guys. I love Richard's voice and vocal approach. Yeah this really works. It's like melodic conscious rap. Lovely lyrics. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Sounds perfectly balanced to me. Well done man. Cheers Zoot.

Thank you so much, Zoot!
It means a lot to me that people have noticed a difference compared to the first version. I spend a lot of time watching tutorials, haha, to better separate the sounds, give them their due, and balance the volumes.
Best regards, Juan Carlos

Cyberpunk eh? Neuromancer is pretty my favorite book of all time and started the genre basically. Nice percs and I like the synth pallette. Stirling track, enjoyed my listen very much.

This is real ear candy to me. It's truly beautiful. And I actually love the production. It's not over produced which to me is very good. You really don't need lots of flash expensive plug ins. Don't get sucked into the hard core marketing. I use Reaper. I know Frenz does too and he uses a lot of the stock plug ins. When it comes down to it, trust your ears and your gut and your own artistic vision. Cheers bro. Zoot.

Thank you so much for your kind words; they mean a lot to me coming from artists like yourselves. I write simple compositions to learn. Composition is difficult for me because I don't know music theory; it's all done by ear, using a Circle of Fifths to combine chords. I use Reaper and free plugins, and I barely use any effects because I don't know how to use them, haha. I've been struggling with mastering for a week now, as I had no idea how to do it. Today I'll upload the same song mastered so you can give me your opinion and I can see what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks again, and best regards, Juan Carlos

on Promised Sky org Music Fate by Cyberflare by Cyberflares
Nice one guys. You know I feel like Manuela and her band are creating some wonderful music lately. Like they went up a notch or two. Anyway there's a kind of urgency in her delivery in this which I really enjoyed.

Manuela and co did a similar thing with one of mine, called Rising Tide. I love it, should feature it again. Cheers brother.

Yep I fell into the river and it was cold and dark. Right up my alley, I love ambient music but this has drama and gravitas to it, and a chilly beauty. Cheers Zoot.

on Black Sunday Ft Zootman and Dragonbeard by TheMonzderSquadd
I don't know if I deserve a feature but thanks! Was interesting to try something on a different genre and vibe, though I guess some of my own stuff is also kinda dark. But this is next level midnight witching hour. Nice one guys. Cheers Chris.

Nah, we won't hear such talk, bro. You're as deserving a feature as anyone, and we think highly of you. We wanted to feature you on our album in some way, and this ended up being the perfect way to do that. Thanks for contributing, bro. Everything about this song is great, its one of my favs

Nice one Paul, nice bitter sweet vibe on it and a good vocal over a really lovely track. I've got a focus rite 2i2, and a Shure SM58 too lol. Both work just fine on my opinion.

on 8 Billion Doves by Kayos2
Your voice dances and trips around more than ever on this one. I keep expecting it to fall over but of course it doesn't! I don't know how you do it. The music is fantastic as always. Like the bed of flanged guitars a lot. Lyrics are sweet as too. Wouldn't that be nice? It's achievable. We just need to get rid of all these silly old men running the show.

Beautiful track, great listen. Definite fav from me. Liked it from the get go with the glitchy beat and gated ? background vocals. The sounds you've used work great together and the mix has a lovely full softness to it. Coolio. Cheers Chris

Love the drum intro and the build. Fretless bass? What are you using for that? Drums sound amazing to me. Great composition. Damn, hit the download button but no go lol. All the best, Chris.

Greetings Chris. It's good you got a chance for the stop, compliments, and feedback. So the Fretless Beast is the Native Instruments Session Bassist Upright Bass. My personal favorite. The Drums, EZ Drummer 3 Jazz kit that I worked overtime to extract that jazz nectar out of it LOL!

Shoot me your e-mail. I'll be more than happy to gift you a copy.

Peace,

on Indie Track movie song by TenBenz
Decent track. I'd call it indie more than metal personally. But I like it, it's actually quite melodic and upbeat. I could imagine it with cleaner guitars. I'm no expert but probably the mix/master could do with some work. Maybe try and aim for a little more headroom. Cheers Zoot.

Thanks, Mate: So the second section has some microtonal ideas through using glissandos.

Hey man. Nice track. The only one of yours I have I think are West Coast hellelula and ##### slicer. Might have others on my hard drive on the lap top but I'm away from home at the moment. Will try to remember to check....

No rush Chris, weird story: I actually prayed to the men in black (like the movies) for this song to sound worse because it was just too good and I really thought I was just the epitome of heaven.... That's what the lyrics were about too actually.... Sadly In was just unwell and couldn't see the harm I was causing just being paranoid

Been a while. I only read the lyric sheet after I listened. Yeah, there's a very depressing sense of deja vu in all of this #####. Same old crap, I'm so sick of it. And it's not even me being bimbed. ##### monkeys never learn. Nice track though, well done!

Thanks, glad you like it. Vital has its downsides; it is sometimes a bit heavy on the CPU, but it remains my first choice.

Thanks Zoot I'm working on this track still so I'll make it downlaodable next update. I've not surfed since October but the next 3 days are sunny and offshore with some nice period swell so I think I'll go fall into a few.
