I like the flute/keys and the shuffle/16 beat mix in the beat, very "boondocks." BTW, if you want some outside the box stuff wrapped around ur rhymes let me know.
Nice track, like the quick delay in the middle with the stereo bounce, transition to high frequency is nice as well. Well mixed. Cool track, and cool Cthulhu.
Nice complex use of words, maybe a little more white space and vocal sweeteners emphasizing certain parts so it doesn't run together. Mix sounds nice and raw. It's nice to hear more than two or three syllables in a phrase, the styles that have been absorbed by pop have gotten a bit lazy.
Liked this with the very first chord. Nice work right off the bat, love the 6/8 and the subtle mix. 7ths and 9ths work great with her note choices. Even a solo. Great guitar work. Beautiful job.
I like the choice of licks and overall feel. Might do the same with this one too. Got ur email, be looking for some content; keep in mind I got a day job :)
Day job... yeah, I remember those... 30+ years ago. That's when I quit the D.O.T. and went full time singing (with the O.K. of a very understanding wife).
I'll use this track make some riffs for yah for fun to use as you see fit. Should be able to cut, paste, stretch, transpose as needed. Sounds like you were having fun.
I've been binge watching Jazz documentaries lately. If you want some guitar licks to drop in to this stuff let me know.
Nice, refreshing, real track, keep up.
Love the flute with the bass bump. Nice sample choices. Like the strings in the background with the triangle sounds, kinda holds it all together. I like it, very cinematic.
I like the blues changes, as well as the background vocals. Nice change from the usual right now. Good, bold vocals.
Put an EQ on the master and boost the low mids, might fix some of the light-ness in the mix.
Little saturation on the organ will fill it out too, then you can turn it down a hair. Just some thoughts, great work keep it up.
Thanks again Doom. My equipment is modest and the EG stuff often doesn't work as well as some others. Some samples I use are already locked it so bringing certain instruments up or down isn't easy. Just finished a backtrack Windy Rain. Hope to put vocs on it soon.
Yeah, it's impossible to get my friends to listen to my stuff on something other than a phone speaker, but what do you do, it's the medium we have now to work with.
Anyway, track is intense, and I have a decent enough stereo to do you right :)
True man, Thanks for taking a listen. Sadly you are correct and that is what the majority of people listen to. Oh well at least we got people who understand.
There is lots of talent here. I would like to hear your vocals dryer through a good mic. Note choices are good too (not cliché). It would sound great with a more harmonically complex arrangement.
Thank you so much for your compliment! :) I would love to work with other producers and artists on music. Maybe just being a writer, background vocalist or joint producer. I thought that’s what that meant so I clicked on it lol.
Yeah, nice ideas, I like that it is minimalist, early 90s feel, snappy.
You may be aware that I have ransacked CincoCent's catalogue a few times for remixes, I was preapproved, great for slumps and needing to hear some good randomness.
Nice track, pretty vocals and harmonies, I count it 6/8 about 160 bmp (one interpretation anyway). If you upload it I may do something with it. Would be fun to get out of "straight 8" :)
Well here is the weirdness I offer though it's not really that weird. I changed the key, tempo, and time signature a few times, added guitar, some bass, and drums. I tried to keep it as chill as the original, let me know if I did it justice: https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/221541
Nice, interesting track. Liked the syncopated vocals part, almost like horn riffs. Only thing I would maybe do is dial back the phase intensity on the lead part that happens a couple times. Other than that great sounding track.
Thanks, mate, I agree with you on the usage of the vocals as almost another instrument. I can play around with the solos since I am using a modified fab filter volcano patch and I can try backing down a bit on the wetness in a future mix.
Cheers
Nice piano break and cinematics. Maybe you don't have as much angst in 2020, agenda gets a little exhausting for me but I guess I did click on it right?
Good track overall, remix it in 2027 and maybe the world will fall apart by then, JK :)
You are very creative and manage to reflect the concepts you are attempting to portray accurately in your work, keep it up.
Shhh small hint, the world has been ending every year for the last 5000 years according to shh (secret) sources /s . I think I have more angst now as I get older.
Nice crisp sound. Is the wah drawn automation or are you turning knobs?
Good guitar tone and distortion choices. I like the floaty frequency stuff with the keys. Good song structure, like the movements and their transitions.
Well mixed, nice work.
