Description : I wanted to create something dark and romantic with an RnB and retro wave touch. This song has a retro futurism feel to it. I was inspired by The Weeknd when I was writing this song, especially his first mixtape, House Of Balloons, hence the deep roamntic analogies in the songwriting. Adding a hint of shuffle on the high hat and some 32nd note accents in the high hat also helps. One more thing, take an expected 808 beat out every once in a while, it adds tension.
I hope my little syllables made sense, not everyone knows what a 32nd note it, but trap abuses the hell out of them, and mixing triplets and a hint of swing to create some stagger in the beat (feel) is common.
