If you want a second opinion on some content you can message me. I've helped a handful of folks here in the past. I think the mix is pretty good, but I can maybe provide some basic notes or louder "mastering" (I am no master).
Up to you, I'm all for sharing ideas and your jazz influenced content aligns with some of the sax work I've been doing; let me know, otherwise, great track and keep it up.
Nice crisp mix and hard hitting kick. Do have a specific objective when you make a track? It seems as if much of your content is backing tracks, I was wondering if that was your intent.
Backing tracks ? now sure what you mean, but I think it would depend on how you use the track. A backing track by definition is just a pre recorded instrumental...now if you add your vocals or another instrument to that pre recorded track, you just used that as a backing track..just like an artist using a instrumental at a live show to rap to..I assume that would also be considered a backing track..but to be honest I really don't know the term.
Nice enunciation and unique voice. Old school with some story telling, and hats that hit on the 8th, instead of the 32nd note trap that pop has now absorbed.
Nice work. Looks like you have a few tracks, I will check some out.
Nice percussion and counterpoint. Good sounding synth pads. I like the snare brightness. Was that a key change (refreshing)? If so it blended back in well.
Nice work. I like the chords progression and the kick sound. This would be a good track to use as a backing track to stretch out a bit. I broke out my sax, maybe it's time to blow out the dust :)
Great ideas on the track. I like the guitar use. You may want to consider reducing the volume of the bass and snare, and then using compression to boost it back, something with a quick release time.
That way the bass will hit as hard without clipping.
Im still new to production so i appreciate the guidance. I definitely heard this in my truck today and it was way too loud i will try to compress it correctly for sure thank you.
Thank you BOD, but for a while, you are Bringer of Joy! I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment, I shall check out the Balkan thing (I have spent time in Bulgaria funnily enough)! Thanks again :)
Good ideas here, you way consider lowering the volume of the bass a hair, increasing the master volume, and then boosting the lows via EQ (to avoid clipping).
I like the drum n bass direction; it makes the songs sound like a remix of a previously popular song. I agree that a break down would be nice, but good track overall.
