great atmosphere my friend!!
there are some jazzy melodies in there which I really love (on the piano for example!) and the harmonies are very very good ...
that's fantastic work, it needs some time to grow into ones mind, but it pays off to listen closely to this track!!
great work ...
I try to focus on music and what melodies I can create outside of my normal range. I think that one thing that constantly plagues a musician is how to challenge ourselves every time. Thanks for the comment, and I will check out your material soon.
I really love that bassline!!! awesome drive ...
mix could be a little more balanced though, most of all you shouldn't mix that guitar line only to the left side, 50 % left will be enough imo ....
but I like this track!! ;-)
Hey thanks Res for the postives! yeah, iam still getting to know my way around acid and speaker placement in the room.I thought I leaned it over around that much, but guess not!! lol!
I agree with all who reviewed before me: very relaxing!!
though I have to say that a little variation or a break here and there would be a good idea to avoid the feeling that it becomes too repetitive ...
and some sounds are too silent, they're hardly to hear at lower volume ... don't know if this is your intention, it's just something I noticed ...
over all it's a very nice and smooth track, a pleasure to listen to ...
great!!
very good and solid playing man!!!
the production so far is ok ... a little too much reverb for my flavor, but that's maybe just a matter of taste, though I would say it would make the mix clearer and bring out the licks more precise ...
the track itself is interesting, I like it!!
Thanks for listening, and like i said only just started recording,so any advice is much appreciated.Hopefully get some of my other tracks sorted and put up soon.
what a drive!!!
I love the guitar sound here, so full and rich, awesome ...
there's a song by an Austrian singer which is called "with 66 life begins" (that's the english translation from the german title) ... you prove that phrase right ...
awesome my friend!!
Again I apologize for the delay in my response(s). I am glad you also enjoyed this tune. Since I have 2 Korg units here, I need to make use of them more, and that is what I am trying to do in my future tunes as I can.
I am not a great keyboard player by any means, but since I can do anything I want in 'slow-mo' and then speed it up to the proper tempo without degradation, it makes it much easier and anyone can do it.
So I haven't heard of that artist you mentioned. But 66 is just a number as I plan on keeping going for at leatst another 10 years if I can.
The next tune I am working on is a Crunch type with mostly guitar and some ideas I have had for a long time. Nothing spectacular, but have to get it out of my head. :-)
I'm completely blown away by the way you squeeze the notes out of your guitar ... you have an incredible tone in your playing ...
and this funky rhythms are something I love anyway!!!
great music ...
A little slow in getting back to you. Am glad you enjoyed this tune as it is a different than my normal songs. I wanted to try a funky mix as I have the keyboard that can do it and also gives me ideas for new tunes.
I will check out some more of yours and give feedback as well. I know a lot of artist are on Reverbnation, but I haven't gotten there yet. myself.
On Lafango (old Talenttrove name) I have over 156,000 plays now of my 26 tunes posted thus far.
oh ... I love this track!!
it's great to hear music that is something like brain food ... I can close my eyes while listening and my mood changes into wellness mode ... that's awesome ...
thank you!!!
Rei - somehow I overlooked this review! My first track with the free Ableton Live 7 Lite - seriously crippled, but surpassing any of the freeware I'd tried up to this point. You've reminded me of two things here - 1) this I'm going to remix. It needs to be an extended remix with what I now know, and 2) I've been meaning to listen to more of your tracks for quite a while, so no more delays. Thanks for the encouragement and review of this one! Peace indeed.
oh ... nice to find some of my loops here!!!
I like the drums a lot, great mix of dark synth sounds an those rock licks ... pure industrial ...
great work!!
thank you ... ;-)
that's pretty nice ...
great guitar sound, great drums ...
the structure needs some more attention though (imo) ... I hear a little more chords in the a capella than just the two you used ... I miss a clearer difference between verses and chorus ...
but it's a nice and enjoyable track ...
good!!!
Yeah..I agree with you...Unfortunatley I have no way to plug my guitar in right now so i gotta use loops for everything...lol..and I still dont know how to change the key of samples yet without changing the tempo...so ...I tried to make the beat be the thing that changes. After I get m new soundcard...I wanna do another version..if its ok with her. Thanks for the advice much appreciated.
oh wow ... this is freakin' awesome!!
you can't know it, but all guys you used loops from are friends of mine, so it's like listening to a collab that we actually never did ... lol
great work on that loops man ... great work!!
thx for using some of mine!!
another awesome song!!!
the way you introduce the distorted guitar after the thunderstorm sound is simply brilliant ...
now your voice reminds me a little of Jim Morrison ...
great great great!!!!
this is songwriting at a pretty high level.
hey man!!! this is an awesome track ...
it's structured very good, arrangement is minimal but on the point, great composition!!
but the highlight is your voice!! great vocals ...
love it!!
(I wouldn't say it's industrial, I would classify it as a rock track, but that's not really important ...)
I knew you have immense talent regarding latin rhythms, but this one blows me away!!!
most of all it's the acoustic guitar that takes my attention, awesome my friend, awesome ... so smooth and relaxed played like it should be done ...
the song over all is a banger ... I can't imagine somebody who doesn't feel the rhythm ... all thumbs up!!!
I'm sitting here with a big grin on my face ... just happy to hear a new hit by Bilbozo!!!
thx ... ;-)
great, absolutely great!!
very interesting choice of sounds and loops, the track delivers a lot of atmosphere combined with great drive ... that's not so easy to achieve ...
good work lady!!
I like that track!!!
has more ambient character to me, strange sounds, very atmospheric ... with your description in mind I really can relate to the situation you wanted to tell ...
that's awesome work!!
love the kicks a lot, sound like slight thunder rolls ...
great!!
pretty good one ...
myself I would mix the drums more upfront (simply louder ...)
but the riff is a good one, so it doesn't really matter that it's no real guitar, and the track rocks!!
good work ....
Thanks alot rei for liking this, and as I always practice metal therefore drums are always loud, but I thought they should be normal for rock, but as u said I think a bit hard will also rock.
yeah ... I like that track!!
no idea who made the guitarloop, but the riff is awesome ...
also the vocals are very good, and the arrangement too!!!
great track, good listen ... thx!
I am real happy you have reviewed one of my tracks as I have loved alot of riff you have created & I have used some of them in the past back in 2007 mainly I think, thanks alot :-)
very emotional track man ...
love the choice of sounds, they deliver a great ambient character!
combined with your solid playing makes it a very interesting and relaxing track ...
though there are some timing issues within the rock part near the end ... but it doesn't disturb that much ...
all in all it's a good track, and you manage to transport the emotions you're talking about in the description ...
great!!
Hey thanks for the positive review Rei4real,its funny you mention the decending rock riff being some what out of time, when I first listened back to it, i new it was off a bit, and was going to do it over, but after the second time of listening, i thought it added a bit of ruffness to the overall charater to the song ,so i keeped it on, i guess if its so prefect then it would not be real!! thanks again for the kind words and will most diffiently give your stuff my ear!!
that's a fantastic backing track!!!
vocals are very good, just a little bit too loud in the mix, one can hear that they are recorded and worked in later, so they stand a little bit beside the track, not in the track (know what I mean??)
but it's good!!!
thx :)
ye, you´re right... gonna try to optimize it^^
While listening to the result, there was always a feeling that something doesn´t work, but coudln´t figure out what it was exactly --> thanx!!
oh!!!
this is very good man ... awesome sounding drums, great composition, very good arrangement!!
guitar sounds a little strange, like out of a box or something like that, maybe it's just uncommon for the ears of a rocker ... lol
anyway, it's a great track!! nothing more and nothing less ...
great work!!
