hell yeah!!!
what a drive .... and your awesome playing ...
brilliant, simply brilliant!!
your tone, your technique ... years of experience that make me jealous and impatient ... but at least I know that real guitar players are like red wine ... so I'll get there some day!!!
thx for sharing this masterpiece Randy ...
faved!! (of course!)
So you found another one you like. Great!
Believe it or not, 'Chicken Pickin' style is my favorite, but it has taken me a long time to master it. I still have more to learn....and I will post another one soon.
It is basically using a pick or thumb pick and your other 2-3 fingers to play all the rest of the melody and chords at the same time.
When I play 5-string banjo...not so much lately, your using usually 3 fingers playing rolls forwards and backwards.
Pedal Steel is simuliar, and also Dobro that is featured in some of my Blues tunes.
Anyways glad you enjoyed this tune as well as the waltz.
As far as fine wine goes...I'll be 66 next month and I'm certainly becoming as aged wine. ha ha,
hell ... that's a pretty weird ride ...
and it's awesome!!!!
very original, very tight ... great!!!
love the creativity in this one, brilliant mix of electronic sounds and electric guitar, homogeneous and on the point!!
brilliant work ...
omg .... this track is simply brilliant!!!!
very professional sounding production, except some cymbals which could be a little more crisp, but apart from that it's awesome ...
I love that kind of orchestral metal ...
awesome work man!!!
faved ....
Randy!!!
long time no speak ... but here I am back again!!
and I'm very very happy to hear a wonderful piece of music from you ... this track is so beautiful, I hardly find the right words for it!!
all I can say is that I love it ...
Your right, it has been a long time since we wrote. I see you on Facebook tho still. I guess I am not that great on keeping in contact with everyone I know...so...sorry about me not writing either.
I am on FB, but not that active...playing in the Farmville or Mafia Wars games as most of my friends do.
I don't have that much time to do that these days.
Anyways, I am glad you enjoyed the waltz. I wasn't sure how it would go over as most waltzs tend to be fairly slow and possibly boring. I didn't want that to happen, so that is why there are quite a few different instruments playing.
I have gotten a quite a bit of feedback on it and all is good so far..so I am happy with that. Not sure what I'll do next...possibly another country one as I love the 'Chicken Pickin' sound and I have been practicing that technic lately on my Tele.
Also I have a desire to do another heavy rock tune as well. So we'll see...
Thanks again Rei, and glad your back! I'll now go over and see what you have up new.
Randy
yeah!!!!
that would be the trailer for a loop-pack ... if I would sell them ... lol
awesome, I like it man!!
and it feels a little strange to say "I like it" about a track made of almost only my own loops ... but it's true ... ;-)
thx a lot SpyderX!!!
I love Status Quo, bro. Not only are they the longest surviving rock 'n' roll band in the world, in my humble opinion they are the best. So, it was only fitting that I pay homage to my roots.
Thanx very much for posting the loop I used for the chorus. It fit perfectly and gave a more modern, updated feel to the "classic rock" tone of the tune.
My next post will probably be the Metal track I've been working on which is built (so far) exclusively around several of your heavier loops.
As always, thanx for taking the time to listen and review, bro.
yep, very very good and solid production ...
flawless and pretty perfect.
I wouldn't call it Jazz though ... more r'n'b ... just to have it said ... lol
hmmm, very nice at the beginning ....
the distorted guitar sound is not good though!
but the piano that comes in after that is awesome ...
for my flavor there's way too much compression on the drums, takes away the dynamics of them ...
also the mix is not very balanced!
but apart from all that technical issues it's a good track, and with proper vocals it could be very good ...
ok so far ...
mmmmh .... very interesting track ...
love the composition and the riffs, great ideas in there!!!
sometimes I miss a bass guitar, but that's just a minor thing ...
all in all it's music for the mind!!!
great!
I like this one ...
has some cool independent rock flavor which makes it pretty charming ... like Briclayah said, the lo-fi is a plus in this case!!
very nice song ...
that's fun to listen to!!!
the mix could be more balanced ...
cool bassline added, sounds almost like the peter gunn theme ...
the ending is pretty weird, first I thought that's a different song, but obviously it's a bridge ... lol ...
I like this track, I bet you had much fun while creating it!!
cool ...
oh, and many thx for using my dirty-loops for this!!
"the mix could be more balanced ..."
--> I think you´re right... I´m always glad about tips to optimize my mixing, if you got some, please tell me! :)
"the ending is pretty weird"
ye, kinda unconventional bridge, right? :D
"thx for using my dirty-loops for this!!"
thx for creating them ;) your guitar loops are always the best!
this has a lot of potential ... atm it's just a bit too repetitive, some variation would be good, some breaks, one or two different parts (chorus, bridge) ...
so far I like what I hear!!!
hmmm .... I would add a harder bassline to it, as it is the bass sounds more like out of a dance track than industrial ...
other than that it's a cool track, drum work is great, the production as a whole too ...
I like it!!!
Thanks for the reveiw man! I wasnt really trying to make an industrial song but it has sorta shaped into one. Thats why I put it uder the industrial genre. I really would rather not label the track genre wise but had to. lol. What do you suggest bass wise? I dont even know where to begin.
hmmm, you're right, there's an issue with the volume, maybe there was a problem while rendering it ... I would render it once more ...
apart from that it's a very very nice and smooth track with a little bit of bass'n'drum flavor, but still chilling ...
good track!!!
Wanna hear REAL metal? I'm working with some awesome guitar loops which will put the iron back in metal, mate ~ some dude that calls himself "rei". LOL
As always, bro, thanx for taking the time to listen and review.
I love the way you arrange tracks ...
there's just as much in there as necessary, nothing is overdone, nothing is missing ... every track is produced on the point ...
you deliver music in a very high quality level!!!
awesome ...
very very good track!!
heard your voice in some tracks before, but never in one of your own ... well, you music is as good as your voice!!!
awesome track ...
great work so far!!!
you will agree that working is more fun with a pretty perfect basic track ... ;-)
at least I can hear that you had lots of fun while creating this!!
great work on a great track ...
hmmm ... that's interesting ...
very cool riff, but some timing issues here and there (no mistakes, playing could be just a little more tight ...)
and I miss a bass!!
but all in all it's a pretty good track, great licks in there, good breaks and cool leads ...
yep, it's a good one, it grows while listening ...
great work!!
