This is an interesting track, sounds to me like a perfect backing for a movie. When I saw your description I thought I would listen in as I am a fan of the Les Paul sound :D Not much of the Les Paul sound in here, but I really like what you did with the effects, very cool!!
Thank you, TeeGee. Yes, you're right, I didn't even have to mention that it was a Les Paul... it could have been any other guitar. The effects are actually just a reverb and a tape echo.
Wow this is a cool track! I haven't been a lot on Looperman as I am busy working on an album on wikiloops.com , but tracks like these make me want to spend more time here! Well done, love how this track develops!
Hey Spiv, I haven't been here for a while, so I thought I'll give this a listening. This is a cool piece, and it will require many listenings to understand everything. But the first thing that came into my mind is that the vocals have some sort of Zappa feel to it, and that includes the sarcasm. Maybe this is not what you intended, but anyway I dig it. Maybe it needs some guitar solo somewhere :D :D :D
I appreciate that you have listened to this more than once in order to understand it. I do love a good sarcastic song or remark. Zappa is an artist that I still have yet to deeply explore. There are a couple of albums and songs which I have heard and enjoyed, and that is about it. I think I owned an album with Mothers of Invention at some point.
A guitar solo is a good idea, though it won't happen on this song... unless I were to incorporate it into a liveset I suppose.
Thanks for taking a listen and leaving your words!
Beautiful singing, what can I say, just a joy to listen to. I am a bit old fashioned, would have liked to hear it with a real bass and instruments, but hey, that's a matter of taste. Love it though, very cool indeed!
Hey DN, I had a listen to this one and also the original. From a mixing point of view, I think you did a good job. It has a nice and interesting sound landscape. For me, I did not like the first part of the remix, I started to connect to it from about 1:44 when it calms down a bit. And from then it just got better and better. I like that laid back part a lot - much more than the manic start. By the way, the original is pretty amazing on its own! So great job man, and remember its only my funny old taste :D . TG
I get it man. My favourite part is also the last. Thanks for your opinion :) Still like the beginning though, and as it happened all naturaly, I'm happy with it.
nice one Format, great rap on a slow beat! I read what the others had to say, can't add too much to it other than I really liked the chorus, very strong! And I wish it was a bit longer, less than 2 min is too short for a good song in my opinion. Cheers, TG
Hey Wobbin an old rocker like me is not going to comment on house music intricacies, I know absolutely nothing about it tbh. What I do listen to on such tracks is the sound, the production etc, this one sounds amazing. I am on headphones, I can imagine how it sounds on decent speakers. Which is not surprising considering who did the mastering, you lucky guy. TG
Thanks for stopping by and comment. I respect people a lot who look (hear) around more then their own genre's of liking!
Spiv is really a nice helpfull guy who did a great job indeed :D

yes you're totally right, it's definitively a cult movie! i'm lucky to have the original sound track in vinyl :)
glad you envoy my work, thank you very much for your comment :)
Wow that is really a clean sound, the guitar is beautiful. I play a little guitar, mostly electric, loud and dirty, but I know how hard it is to get a clean and bright sound like that. Wow. Well done, its a pity its so short...
I can't help you with the genre, I just listened to the song and I must say I like it. It may need some more working on, just to create some variety. >Regarding the tagging, I struggle every time when I upload a song here, I never know what it is. At the end of the day, who cares as long as you like it... Cheers, TG
Sounds good to me, nice production, can imagine it being a great song with the right vocals. Unfortunately I can't help you with that, I am a big fat hairy man with a deep voice, so not really suitable ;)
Hey man, this music type is not my area of expertise, so can't give much of a feedback. Having listened to a few of your tracks in the past months, I think you know what you are doing without my input :D . I listened to the original, that was not bad either but I think I prefer your version. Can't put my finger on it, but it is more interesting to me. And the sound and production are top!!
Hey there! Thanks for taking a listen to this! I didn't place well in the competition, but that is to be expected. I'm glad you prefer this to the original, as I do too. I tried to add a lot more variation than the stems had in them... I'm not one to get bored, except with repetitive music. :) I really appreciate your support and your comments!
When I heard this song I immediately cought the vibe of the commodores night shift, especcialy the guitar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQmD6sNcAC0 . Very cool clean production. Anyway, I enjoyed it , hope we get to hear the finished song here. Peace
What up TeeGee, MACK MAN here. Thankyou for the comment and the listen. Working on the vocal arrangement very soon.thanks again, will stop by. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
Man, this is some track! I agree with Danke, I would think it's Industrial, but on the other hand who cares for tags and clarifications? Even if there was no description from you I can sense the anger and frustration, so you did a good job in transforming this via electronic music, which is much harder than when you play a stringed instrument for instance. Hope you feel better now, too.
Man, I love many aspects of this track, the music and rhythm are very nice, I like your singing and your accent. Enjoyed listening to it. But, I got to be honest with you - I did not like some of the things you were saying. I am not going to go into religious/political discussions with you, everybody has the right to believe what he wants and do whatever he likes as long as he/she don't hurt others, regardless of what they believe in. Peace and love to all :) TG
Wow this track has a lot of energy, I like the changes and sounds. Love the beat! I am not an expert on this type of music, so I will leave the feedback to those who have better understanding. But from my point of view, I really like it, I think it is a great fun track to listen!
Hey man, I listened to it several times, as you asked here are my thoughts, not necessarily in the correct order of things :)
This short section of a song definitely is interesting, I hope you'll post it here when it's finished. I have to admit I did not understand all the lyrics, but I get the sentiment of it.
I love the intro, it is a really cool melody. I don't know what you planned for the rest of the song, but maybe this melody could make a return somewhere in the song, to break things up. Just an idea, as it is really nice.
I am not going wild about the drum sound, I prefer real drums or, if this is not possible, I would use drum loops made with real drums. But I realize this is not always possible, plus probably many people will say they love your drum sound :) It's really a matter of taste. Keep at it, I look forward to the completed track. TG
Thanks For The Feedback And I'll Be Sure To Send You It When It's Finished. And If I Have Time I Will Make A Version With Real Drums For You Personally.
