A very catchy and addictive tune. Your vocals remind me a bit of Steely Dan but that's me showing me age I guess! Having listened to your rock track "cling to life" also, I get the impression you could do many genres well.. great songwriting and styles.

I thought I would drop by your profile and give one of your tracks a listen as I had noticed you have listened to some of mine. Cool stuff my man ! sounds to me you could do several genres like trance and more. This is good. I do not know if you DJ but I imagine this could be part of a set. good timing in your mix at bringing the sounds in. Great Track !!

Now this has got it !! You may remember the old title given to artist who write/compose/produce their own material = "singer/songwriter" . You have a catchy tune with this one. I also have to confess to owning a Casio keyboard but mine's got the small keys.. I think you could have a song that goes beyond the stratosphere if you re-mix with some good loops from looperman and add real instruments on it. I'd be willing to collab on that one if that sounds like a good idea. Great Track.

on Hoping it's You by JensTonic
This track sounds OK - no distortion or vibrato. In music terms I thing this one is great !! got a real "folky" sound to it what I like. I know everyones different but I would add a piano and a mandolin...

on WHEN I AM GONE by RonGallagher
This track of yours is definitely saying something. be great to hear vocal on it with strings and organ maybe. I imagine a gutsy vocal like Joe Cocker on this..lamentable and straight at you..

Thanks Daniel.
I do have a lyric and a few more progression options in the works. Going through one of those overwhelming periods we all go through as artists. Many loose ends calling for attention.
Thanks for listening and commenting. Much appreciated.

For some reason your track didn't play 100 % right. (a bit like when the old casette used to slip) and I got a slight tremolo effect. I did mange to hear what you have put together and I think this is a big step in the right direction. For me, the song has to grab you and thats what your song does. Catchy addictive lyrics and tune. more !!!

on Careful Stepping by axidswitch
Greast mix of sounds you have put together here. As it's titled 2careful stepping" I immediately get images of someone trying to pass through a corridor of lasers, but could easily be an incedental track in a film. Tremendous track and very listenable (sorry you got this review in part first time, my keyboard has developed a mind of it's own )

This has got an '80s feel to it with the analogue style synths sitting with the piano. It will be great to hear the next 5 parts added. It reminds me a little of Vangelis or Rick Wakeman in how you progress the sounds yet keeping the initial melody. Powerful and majestic track. Great.

I like metal when it's played well and a bit of thought has gone into the mix. You have these in this one and I like the energy you bring into it also. For me the mix is about right, but then that's down to personal preference. Great Track !!

on Accross The Sands Collab with Ken Moran by Devodale
You are right about this tune taking you somewhere else. Could easily be music for a battle scene in a desert, or futeristic sci-fi....wherever the imagination takes you. This is the sheer craftsmanship of this track, sounds blending together causing the listener to go places. Immensly enjoyable and gets my vote.

on A Little Blues Jam by Jeff05C
To be perfectly honest I find the whole journey into techno-computer-land very tiresome when all I want to do is plug in and make music as the moment happens. To me, this is an excellent track where your blues guitar and that piano are making it happen. The quality of the sound and how to improve it ? sorry, I can't help you there but I do like the quality of the musicianship I can hear. Great Track !!
Jeff05C
Jeff05C replied Unknown
Thanks a lot! Yea I'm not in to the techno-computer land either (or wasn't) but it is opening my mind to other creative possibilities. If nothing else to have some extra sets of ears to go "by the way bud your cymbals are too loud" or what ever

on ACOUSTIC LADYLAND by RonGallagher
Sad folky and classical all mixed into one. They say blues can only be blues when you know some kind of personal pain, but I think you have put something of you into this that goes beyond the music and style. A track well worth listening to.

Daniel,
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and making the effort to comment. The guitar holds so many voices, so many ways to express emotion, so many opportunities to create. Yes there is a certain sadness to this piece. Just as you embrace your guitar in your profile photo, my guitar embraced me in this song. Thanks again Daniel. Voltage

Daniel,
Thank you for the kind review. Though I do apologize for stressing out your speakers...
I lean on my guitars for emotional therapy.
I believe the guitar is one of Gods greatest gifts to man. Our own miniature orchestra. Sometimes I need to be subtle and quiet. Other times I need to just scream. The guitar offers me all that and more. I say these things because I sense you understand. Play on brother. Thank you for the encouragement. I am inspired.
