on Cinematic track 1 by Abilify
It's so dramatic, and really emotional.
I don't actually make these type of songs so I can't make feedbacks like the people before me.
All I have to say is to work a bit on the paino in the introduction.
Cheers!

on I Fall Down v2 by Spivkurl
Great track! The lyrics are pretty great.
On the first part of the song, it sounds similar to "Scribble" by Puppet and EDEN Project, but then when the first part of the lyrics came in, the tune somewhat resembles me of "Clock" by Coldplay but then it kinda got unique :3
Anyways, nice track. I can't feedback since I really don't know what all of the instruments or hardwares of what you have used works. I'm just gonna say it's super awesome!
Keep being awesome..
- Cheers

Hey friend, thank you for your listen and comment! I hope you take a few minutes to hear the updated mix/master, as I think it is better overall. I don't think I remember hearing "Scribble before, and I can't say I know any Coldplay songs off hand. They're popular though, so I take it as a compliment. As for the hardware parts, I'm most proud of the modular patch, which was quite simple, but incorporated my VC3T circuit bent talking teacher module... haven't gotten it to sound quite that cool before! The vocoder part from the microkorg also turned out pretty nice, and is showcased a bit better on the new mix. Thank you for your support!

on on that note by promenade2239
It's constant, yet the ambience is a bit loud. It can be entertaining to some people, but sadly I'm not that much into the song. This could be more like of a soundtrack of a movie, or some game. Enough about the cons, what's great about the song is that I do agree on blu22 about the track being weird-ish and I do agree about you saying that it's unique.
Sad to say, I still can't make these type of music since it sounds so "expert-ish" if you ask me
I would say it's a good track.
If you would take my opinion seriously, let's just say that the listener (which is me) is not well used to the track.
Why did I comment? The House genre attracted me :3
Cheers

hi
thanks for your comments! So in this case the chord progression of the song is quite abstract - it is more an excercise in synthesis in a way, or better to say in putting together different synth sounds as I was working mainly with presets by only slightly modyfying them at places. That's why it may probably sound too 'expertish'. There is no true evolving narration in here but just playing with the atmosphere - I could post this under 'ambient' as well. This track was intended initially to be a synth jam with some oriental melodies on the top but I developed this into more electronic ambient. Sure there is a need to turn up the bass drum and make some catchy melodies for getting more proper house feel. The good thing about looperman is that I can experiment freely.
Regards, A.

on Now I got it ft HEMANIFEZT by TeeGee1965
First time hearing a hip-hop track in looperman!
It's awesome, feels live, and has sick beats!
You made my first impression of hip-hop the best!
Cheers!

I am so happy - you will remember this song for as long as you live now ;) . The bass and the drums were done more or less life in a single take by bhunt1 and rp3drums, and some of the guitar parts too. That gives it a life feeling, also, as it is not made on software it is slightly out of click in one or two places, that gives it a "live" feel.

on No Name by TinyFinger
I'm not familiar with this kind of work, but I must say, it's awesome!
May I ask, how would you sync both drums and guitar when you play it live? Do you use some king of metronome to make a fix BPM? What audio recorder do you also use? It's very clear.
Anyways, a very nice track! Keep it up!

Hi. I'm played here only bass guitar. Drums and guitar played my friend in band. Name our band is The Kyudars Band.

on Love go round by mudhoen
I like the part somewhere in 0:35 where the tune gets in with the song. The vocals are well used, and the song sounds like tropical house to me (because of the tropical like percussions)
Great track, I must say! Keep it up!

Thanks man. I did not want to hear vocals all track so made a few bars in between to variate a little. I am glad you liked it. It has some trpoical vibe to it, agreed :p!

Nice drums! I gotta agree, the genre of either drum n bass and dubstep is a bit confusing, or might as well a fusion of both!
Nice track!

on You Are Never Alone by Spivkurl
I don't even know how these sounds you make in the song works, it's like a unique thing for me to listen!
Just as the past track you've published (where I thought of it as a track for the broken future of the humankind, where robots would take over and make the environment dark)
It seems a very new genre to me but, It's damn too good and addicting to listen to!
Your music is worth knowing well! Keep being awesome!
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 10th Mar 2016 - 9 years ago
Thank you for the very kind and expressive words! The sounds in the song would be an example of my more sample based, "spontaneous synchronized randomness" sort of composition, rather than MIDI controlled hardware sort of style which I do a lot. The vocals were a bit hurried out of necessity, but I still love how they turned out. I find that most of humankind is more akin to robots currently, or at least cybernetic organisms, rather than mammalian animals which they should be... but I understand what you mean, as I know that things will get worse before they get better. It's a good thing to me that this sounds like a new genre to your ears, as I have trouble separating it from things such as devo (who I don't like to listen to) and Gary Numan's Tubeway Army (who I've been appreciating more recently). I wasn't consciously trying to replicate anything, aside from emotion, so it is good that it sounds original to you. I hope you have picked up a copy of this album, if not some of my others. Thank you very much for listening and leaving a comment!

on GryllaQ - The Greatest Feeling by GryllaQ
That's pretty neat for someone who made their first vocal track!
Actually, the tone goes well with the vocals!
(It's just that the vocals at the start might be just a bit louder than the tone, or is it just my ears?)
Anyways, great track! I hope you could do more and improve onto the future!
Cheers!

on The Rollercoaster by kennydjctxmckenzie
Hi!
It's a very great track. The Hats, Kicks, anf other percussions mixes well and stands out for the whole track. That (arp?) from the start to the finish of the song gets me hahaha it's a fun, hardcore-like track. I would like to ask, what's the BPM of the song? I bet it's more than 150.

Hi mate :) its an old FM sound which i thought why not have a bit of mad pitch fun ;) lol yeh it does sound fast but would you believe its actually closer to 140 (142 precise) its the combonation of percs and synth that gives it an edgy faster vibe, done another track using the same synth in a more trancier way which i put up today ;), thx for stopping by and glad you liked!!!
Thx from Kenny...

on Just Let It Go - Instrumental - Vocal Ready by BradoSanz
I hope the vocals would be very good!
These are the types of songs that I could relate to even though it's still in instrumental.
I'm really touch, and seriously, I'm really touched and emotional. A nice composition, with perfect instruments such as those strings and guitars and especially the piano. The clock mixes well too. This song can inspire many people so yeah, a very great job. Your the best!

on Until your heart is beating by traz75
I like the way how the music style progreesses. At first, I was touched by the live drums, and some intruments I can't identify(lol). Those clarinets (trumpets?) are sexy! Nice track overall!

Thank you! I think Slapjohnson's woodwinds are legendary on the site... At least, i can't elude them, most of my tracks have something in from him for solo. :)

To promenade2239 (sorry, accidentally hit the post button before finished :D) :

I did not feel so coherent... i think it's on the razor's edge, maybe beyond it - the sad fact that despite my efforts i can't made it better than this, so i just gives up and leaves it as now... I think it's acceptable, but nowise good.

on Bounce - Original Mix by GoldenOokami
The reverse crash transitions were broken crashes right? Anyways, I like the style of the song, it's really great but I wouldn't call it as house but rather something like Disco or Groove? Try downloading some packs like the Sonic Boom Progressive House Pack, or the Virtual riot one. Anyways, keep striving!
GoldenOokami
GoldenOokami replied 27th Oct 2015 - 10 years ago
Yes, broken crashes. Just for a type of echo effect. And Nu-Disco maybe? I can see it. I'm not sure. Will def see what the others say, genre wise. I don't even know the genre of most of the stuff I make. Thanks for the feedback! I'll check out the packs too. I'm familiar with Virtual Riot, so def interested!

on Glaciers by skwishfish
The synth standing brightly from start to end really mixes well with the changing beats. Nice transtion between 1:20 - 1:21! The lead(?) synths that just joined after that perfectly mixes in the track. What was missing here is that hous-ey feel. I would rather call it as a chill type song than a house. Anyways, your music is great! Keep doing it!
skwishfish
skwishfish replied 12th Oct 2015 - 10 years ago
Thanks for the feedback man! Always appreciated.

Although, I do have to disagree with the missing house feel. I'm no expert, but if you listen to artists such as Kygo and Wave Racer you can hear the resemblance.

Check out the competition I'll be hosting for the production of an Ice House track! It'll be in the forums!

P.S. I realized a few minutes ago that your name is just R2D2 backwards...which has given me a newfound respect for you my friend. Keep doing you.

on ghost words of frederick baer by joecramer
omfg just looking at the lyrics itself makes it really disturbing! If you tried translating first the lyrics you got before making it into music, you are one tough bacon my friend! But if not, well lucky you! Imagine the situation happening at your neighborhood, hearing screams (if they still can cause y'know, they have the throats sliced)
Anyways, good job! This song has some huge potential on winning a halloween music contest cause it's creepy, and has a story at the same time. Good job!
joecramer
joecramer replied 4th Oct 2015 - 10 years ago
A few days ago i saw this documentation from Sir Trevor McDonald at indiana deat row, on TV .... There i saw Frederick Baer the first time in my life. And i got so much respect for Sir Trevor you can only understand if you watch that. Hell, i couldn´t stand that! I have a little girl and i couldn´t stop thinking on how afull and extreme evil it must be to die this way ...... later i read phatkatz threat and start some little work with this dark strings from Funktastic. The result let my mind remember this story but i had forgoten the words and the names and so. So i googled it and found the side where "this words and only this interview" was on - like a sighn :) -
So i start working with them. translate them and sing/talk them and so on. But it wasn´t that evil and dark it had to be. Sounded like i found Frederick baer a "cool" guy but that wasn´t what i wanted to do. So started to "hide" the words and "take" the evil feeling in them ...... in a way

and right now, if you know the story and the words and listen to this music, it fits. It is so evil and dark like it should be

Thanks for the nice comment

stay tuned

Nice growls but at first I thought it was going to be a trap but nice one getting it slowly converting through smooth transition into dubstep. Cheers!

The original acapella was under the 'Trap' section, so I felt that it would probably best suit a trap-style sound. But I've never really listened to trap, hence the Dubstep.
