Hey 2d2r I took the 3 loops then lined up the synths but the key is the synth scream plus a beat late on the track. Assembling those ingredients took 3 days. I listened to those individual clips and when I had the overall concept in my head i recorded it in one hit manually doing the fades in session view in ableton live . I'm sure that's not how most people work their DAW but it's the way I like doing it. Thanks for your comment best regards . Robbie.
Groovy! I haven't heard much of these jazz-y songs but this one is great!
The percussions are stereorized well, with the pan effects and such. Was it live recorded?
I'm thinking this could be used for like an intro for a tv show, or a movie lol
would love to hear some vocals atleast, but this one already makes the cut!
Hi 2D2R,
Thanks for listening, and for your encouraging words.
Yeah...it was a live recording, and I spent a lot of
time on the perc. So really pleased you mentioned that.
Made my day :))
thx..
That's a nice song! It really captivates the emotions you want to express, or feel. The lyrics are very meaningful, and catchy! The strings and the rain/storm effects mixes well with the song.
yes i can picture it now, are you fed up with the same old washing up liquid then buy this sparking new foam today hahaha with the music in the background hehe lol, thanks for your comment, i just love what i do with a passion
yes it's really great how amazingly i put it altogether, and it didn't take too long lol, just a few hours lol, but no it's not my vocals but i put the track together :) i decided to upload it on hear to see what comments i got, glad you liked it, and thank you for your comments
lolol Thanks! I'm glad my random idea turned out to be a fantastic idea. I drink all kinds of beer. lol. Whatever I happen to feel like buying. I have no preference. Thanks again
Damn some hardcore DnB shiz right here!
It's not the synths or tunes that make up these kind of songs, but the complexity and awesomeness of rhythm comprehensions and you f-ing passed that man!
Your track is so massive that the looperman spectrum analyser broke, good job!
There's a lot of sounds going at the same time, but the good side of it is that you managed to mix them all into one great sounding track! Could use some vocals to fill in some empty spaces
I don't really know what's happening, all I know is that North Korea is showing off, and that's really bad since we're near to that place...
Politics aside, that oriental feel on the start was dominating. Sounds like I'm in a chinese movie, really. Are those little stringed instruments (forgot the name) samples or were by yours?
Mixed and mastered well! I like that soft, mono-legato-ish tune going in the background. The variation of patterns, automations and arpeggios gives that space and electronic vibe. Even though ascending arps are always repeated, it doesn't get old to hear! Which means, i love it!
Thanks a lot for your feedback! I appreciate it, this site has taught me a lot this way. Thanks for listening :)
This track has also taken me longer than I would care to admit, but I have learned some new things, so that's good.
I won't say it's dark, or haunting. For me, it's emotional and very touching. As a fact, I always wanted to make lyrics and music like this; deep, emotional, filled with meaning with the help of acoustics. I want more of these lol
Can you tell me some tips on making tunes like these? And also the lyrics? (Well, I know it should be based on experiences)
It was a nice start but the drop put me a bit off, but still you mixed it great! The vocals catch the feelings and the emotion of the track itself. Well done!
cheers
as everyone mentioned, i also loved the piano instrumentals. the feel and emotion given to it is very much visible to the eye of listeners. it captures the scenery it truly depicts. this is a masterpiece!

I like the scifi feel you get after the intro, when the choir kicks in
I LOVE when the percussions come in too, they give that lo-fi chill feel.
im guessing lots and lots of efforts goes to the track, hearing those ton of automation on the pads
cheers!
