Description : I hope we got your attention on this one :), this is another hiphop flavoured track we did. All 4 Guitar parts by me, bass by Bhunt1, drums by rp3drums (he did all the work by combining live drum tracks to a single track). In addition to that there is a little synth part in the background, a looperman scratch loop by moe46 and the acapella track by HEMANIFEZT.

So we are trying to do tracks which are hiphop based but done with real instruments as well as traditional hiphop elements. So it is not 100% hiphop but this is the tag that most fits it. Also, the excellent rap "makes" this song, so it has to be hiphop.

If you have any comments or advice, let's hear it. Thanks to the guys for letting me have their tracks, thanks to HEMANIFEZT for letting everyone use his acapellas. Hope you enjoy it. Peace, TG

Thanks for listening. Actually, we are all in different countries, so everything is done by email and wikiloops.com
Basically after we decided to use the vocals, I made up a rough template with the vocals, some guitar and some electronic drums, and then bhunt and rp3drums recorded each their track, and I mixed it up.

This was such a fun track to play on. It was basically one take for me. TG did a great job on the mix and the guitar, and I really appreciate Hemanifezt's rapping on this - he has a unique style and his lyrics are great. Rp3's drums are so crisp on this.

I am so happy - you will remember this song for as long as you live now ;) . The bass and the drums were done more or less life in a single take by bhunt1 and rp3drums, and some of the guitar parts too. That gives it a life feeling, also, as it is not made on software it is slightly out of click in one or two places, that gives it a "live" feel.

Capturing the essence of hip-hop is not an easy task, but in fact, you did it quite well...and I applaud you for your feat!

Thanks man, much appreciated. To be honest, I don't really know what I am doing, I just try stuff and if it sounds good to me I will use it :D . I iz like a child walking for the first time :) :)

Great cool raw vibe on this one dude!Always loved Hemanifezt vocal.Guitars are superb,just enough edge and the wah ads a funky edge.Great mix ,Superb track. Rhodesy.

TG, Yeah man very dope mix here bro. I have thought about trying some hip hop myself. Really like your take, especially all the funky guitar flavoring! The HEMANIFEZT acapella was a great match up. Definitely got my attention.

The first bars sound like `walk this way' -Aerosmith and Run DMC. Then the funky guitar is taking over, It sounds very very good. The vocals are mixed in perfectly. Very professional sound. Good job!

Thank you very much!! When I read your comment I had to go and listen to Aerosmith and RDMC. I don't think I have heard that RunDMX song for years, but you are absolutely right, there is a resemblance. This is surely the inspiration for mixing Rock/blues guitar and hiphop. Thanks for reminding me of this song :)
