This is a rather new-type of lofi I've heard since most lo-fi tracks tend to be much simpler. Great job! Sounds like a lo-fi version of Andromeda by Gorillaz.
Really great structure, though I wonder why the drop kinda got muffled. Probably the sub is overpowering the other elements thus being muddy. Maybe try cutting somewhere in the 20 - 150hz range by about 2-4 db? Oh, if you also want a more powerful (you probably know this) try reducing the master db/volume of everything BUT the drop by ear, and then the drop should be at the normal volume (for example, I'm using FL Studio, I'd automate the master volume know at 60%-65% on the verses and buildup, and the a jump to the normal 70% volume on the drop) just to give it that good impact when the drop drops.
Anyways, can't believe you just tried riddim, even though it looks like you've already done a lot!
This what I've been waiting for, to pinpoint where to cut because I'm struggling in equalizing stuff, thanks for the effort and tips appreciate this a ton.
I really how you mixed the track, and it sounded like a really professional one! The vocals are so good, when mixed well with the beat, the emotions really come through.
Damn! I can feel the melody flow, and the drums paves the path for it to fully give impact to the listener, well, as far as I can visualize in my mind.
The progression of the piano is sick man! Though is it an error I hear on 2:29-ish? I feel like it was cut.
Anyways, another masterpiece again from jamid! Cheers and stay safe.
The structure was a huge issue for me before I uploaded this, because there's some parts that I wanted to 4/4 time and some parts just didn't work, so it took a few nights of work to find some sort of balance. I could have probably extended out the song, but I feel as though it wouldn't warrant putting it on repeat listening.
This song gave me goosebumps, even if I did not understand the tune or melody happening. Is it the beat? The FX? The mixing? Who knows? That's the art of music you truly captivated in this track!
Dear friend, thank you very much for your interesting review. In fact, in this song I wanted to break some classical compositional schemes to dare a feeling of estrangement and restlessness to reproduce the atmosphere of the writer H. P. Lovecraft. Best wishes and see you soon
Nicely mixed all together! Though I'm not that into songs that focuses on mostly rhythmic percussions, arpeggios and the likes, I do like how every synth and instruments you placed in each part of the song are laid and mixed to produce such clean track generally.
I kind of took it in the hardstyle direction with this mix, just for the fun of it. I have always had a special place in heart for a good hardcore track.
I was pretty happy with the vocal part around 1:34, after I realized what I had done. Glad it came across well!
Sounds something that would be in a classic video game! The bassline and the melodic structure of the track are really well made and funky. Great job on this one!
Thank you for your time! My apologies that I haven't really had the time to respond. I usually try to answer ASAP. Now, looking back on the song I think it is a little bland at some points. I tried to use as little effects as I could, that is what added the classic video game vibe. But hey, the more you know :)
Also I used a lot of square waves to make the synths, so that also contributes to the video game vibe!
Thank you for listening and giving feedback, I really appreciate it! Also, thanks for the compliments!
Everything inside is so...complex yet as a whole, it's just one simple and fascinating/bizarre track and that's what I like from your style Spiv!
It's really hard to comprehend how you have made this track since LOTS of time have been put through with this, which strengthens the idea of you being one of the known music artists out there, especially here in Looperman.
To be honest, a large percentage of my songs lately do not amount to a lot of time spent on composition or recording. When you count the time spent working on instrument builds, modification, and upgrades - then it tips the scales a bit. I have a couple of songs which have been waiting, untouched, for my current build to be finished. I expected it to be done a couple of months ago, but then the gardening season hit, and with it the poison of other people's Glyphosate and other chemicals. Makes it hard for me to get things done when I'm sick and angry... maybe I should make punk music again?
I say it's not much time, since a lot of my instruments or entire songs are recorded live now. If I get a good take, it only takes as long as setup and the length of the song.
I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out though. It has lessened my reliance upon my ipod, since I can access it in my head while walking around.
Thanks for always being there with your support and valuable comments! Have a great day!

This is commercial-level man, the lofi-ish synths with the hip-hop beat, along with the very catchy bars.

Further into the track, just like topvega said, that repetitive (were you saying "what"? lol) which was at the 1:34 mark was really enjoying to hear.
Well structured, I somewhat nodded my head with the beat of the music :)
Cheers

it feels like some gang or squad is arming up weapons and such for an incoming war or something, or what in my own perspective atleast
really solid track, yet could use a bit more "content" xD

Thanks for the feedback. Although it's not something I aimed for, it definitely has an early 2000's pop-rock feel.

In a visual way... this sort of thing makes me go down into a fibonacci spiral, losing myself in the days observations. I will do my best.
In a visual way... I don't know if these "sights" are past, present or future in relation to this song... ...
