on In The Grip Of Himalaya by Orlando51
THAT INTRO. Perfection in my opinion. What did you use to get that wailing sort of violin at the start? I really like that sound. Evokes an image of a guy lsot in the desert, staring off into the sunset. Or maybe hes on another planet. Regardless, very dreamy and lovely mix. The ambience on this one is so beautiful. This is perfection to my ears, my good Orlando. Great work on making something different and at a much higher quality and grace than what I normally find on LM :)

I love this one!! The mix on this one isn't as polished as the other you uploaded the other day, but the epicness is just the same! Great work, don't stop! Your music improves every time! :3

Lol you romantic bunch, you :P Great job on the strings, I like how they're panned accordingly. The vocal adds a lovely, dreamy element to the song and adds a strong sense of emotion to an already-great track. Keep it up!

Beautiful piano work! A little bit harshly compressed overall and seems to draw away from some of the beauty that this song contains. Great work regardless, the piano was the best part of the song for me.

This track is REALLY fun. Shame it has fallen into the darkest pits of Looperman! I like the energy it contains and the thrilling element the song progression contains. Absolutely loved it. Great job. Too bad it's not downloadable :l

Really cool sound. Very spacey, could totally hear this for an arcade game of sorts. The drums are a little quiet and tend to blend into the background, but overall good stuff.

Definitely working on the drums but limited by $5 software bought from apple. Will do my best to make the drums sound better. Thanks for noticing! Will keep improving the track.

Beautiful acoustic. Are those pre-recorded samples? Cool beat; classic drum beat that has potential to be a great song with a good rapper over it. Great job! If you're looking for a rapper, I'd suggest getting in touch with this guy: https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/1361542

He has a great voice, I think he'd compliment the song perfectly!

Thank you BradoSanz. The samples have been chopped and rearranged to insure originality. I first thought maybe the drums were too hard. But after marinating on it for a day or two, I went back to it and was really diggin' it. I will check out the rapper you suggested. Thanks again.

The average weight of a raindrop is about .1 mL or .003 oz :)

All jokes aside, great music. Your vocal sounds great, really a motivational style song that makes you question yourself if youre doing everything you can to make something of yourself. Great job!

Cool song. A little harshly-compressed to the point of losing a considerable amount clarity in the high-end. Regardless, could totally hear a hard rocker singing some awesome stuff over this. Hope to see that come to fruition :)

Dang dude. The drums on this one are flawless. Clarity like the best of em'. I'm utterly curious to know what you use for those drums. This would be great with a vocalist! I hope you found one!

I like the trance element in this one. Classic, yet still intriguing to listen to. I know this song is old in terms of LM, but still stands up to some modern trance songs uploaded in 2016. With that said, great job!

Cool little skit there. I like the effects you applied. I feel like I've heard that female laugh before, I just can't recall where. However, it's a very intriguing story. Sounds someone is going to be killed eventually :P

Dang smallpaul. Youre definitely the best I've heard in this genre on LM. Very old-school sounding but has an awesome groove that anyone could get into! Your use of stereo delay on the male vocal really makes it sound huge. Beautiful work on this. Simple, catchy and powerful. Great work!

Fun sound. The breakdown was pleasant and executed nicely. Great start for this one. As DJ mentioned, a female vocal would top this one off beautifully and also a crispy drum percussion section to fill out the high end a bit more.

Thanks so much, Brado. So glad you like it. The vocals is our drummer, Scott Burkholder. He can't sing, but he can talk, LOL! Yes, Kenny did a fine job first time with us.

Well THIS was a fun listen. The drums really disoriented me in a fun way at the start haha. Your vocal is so unique HAHA. Made me listen all the way through. There are a ton of ear treats throughout this entire song. I think the reason its addicting to listen to is the fact that it's so different. Those patches are so cool as well! Has a very happy vibe that I appreciate. At some spots I got an almost tribal feel with those chord progressions towards the 2 minute mark. Great work, Spiv. This is one of my favorite works from you. Keep em' coming!

Well look whose back! :D Dang boi, your skills have skyrocketed since your last track :) The bass was very nice. I like the composition as well. Good structure for a nice smooth flow to be thrown over it. I look forward to hearing it complete! Couldn't really give any suggestions on a name as it could travel in any direction at this point. Great stuff, glad to see you return. :)

Quite abstract, yet the pulsating kick had me the entire time. Beautiful work, friend. Turned up this track sounds abolutely amazing and almost eerie :) Great job with mixdown as well, sounds very professional in my opinion. I have no criticisms except for at a few points, the ambient noises get a little bit too loud and I find myself having to lower it because it's so harsh. Small issue, overall great work!

Hi Brado

Thanks for interesting opinions and nice words! I must say I layered many bass drums and there are also 'ghost' snare drums as well as other drums in the background. Ive put some punchy limiting on many of them - I am sure that if I would continue adding more drum layers with even more compression I could get some more and more of pumping' here. This is something new in my music. The harshness you mentioned is actually a high frequency range you probably do not like but as I said in some comments below I do not use any mainstream electronic styles as an inspiration and I should put simply an 'Electronic' label on this track, not 'House'. There is no filtering and limiting on 'ambient noises' so it is quite natural that at some level the listening experience may be painful.

Oh and regarding to my comment on your track I wasn't very precise with 'harshness' I mentioned. I know it is maybe not a proper place to discuss it but autotune adds sometime a kind of strange rusty and gravelly qualities - especially the very moment when transitioning 'in between' the notes you sing. I played your track only using laptop speakers so maybe that's an irrelevant observation, I do not know. Anyway the proper amount of autotune is always something to consider.

I am glad you liked the hypnotic vibe I created. Thanks again for your comprehensive review.
Alex
