Description : Funky mellow jazz looping tune I put together after a friend of mine told me he had been laid off. Used driving Drum Beat(the grandma)who never gives up- the Bass (grandpa)who adds some advice one in a while and the other instruments reflect a family's pain in discussing what just happened. Hope you enjoy the tune and that no has to experience being Laid Off.

If you have time take a listen and give Filaofsoul some feedback.
Filaofsoul50, man first off this is nice here. And according to the description of your work flow, we’re doing music the exact same way. Your work is phenomenal. Be safe.

Hey Bud again thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. That was my early adventure into a Funk Jazz experiment back in the day LOL. Got one more coming if I can get that darn trumpet section to work!!! stay tuned again Thanks!
Hey man thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. Comments appreciated. Have to admit was my most difficult to put together and finding the right loops and putting the solos together to keep that feeling. Just released all my songs through CD baby so stop over to filaofsoul.rocks and grab a copy. Will be releasing my first tune in two years here in a few days so look out. Again Thanks!

Wow!
The first bit that got me was .... the description of what lay before me should I press the play button.
An unusual description to say the least and maybe a bit over ambitious but nope .... worked just fine. Set the scene for me and I settled in with that story and that feeling and that place and what a decent family they all turned out to be too!
I do a lot of looping and then editing and effecting etc and piano electric or other wise is so far to difficult for me to get right. My big challenges at the moment are adding vocals and using piano. At the moment I feel I'm beginning to get there slowly with the vocals but the piano will have to be for another time.
I've also tried a few approaches to jazz but oh dear so cold and automated and soulless.
This sounds like the real deal.
Not only am I well impressed I'm a little inspired too.
Fantastic little number that sounds genuine and warm and very real.
Hey silverman thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. I know what you mean. I have been doing this for about 15 years and you dont what to know how many projects I had to dump. My first try at jazz was 55 MPH take a listen took about 7 months of trying different things here and there to get the feeling. I will stop by your stage a take a listen Keeping plugging it will fall in place.
That groove. I was instantly hooked by the keys at the start. Did you use EZ drummer for the drums? They sound great! The progression with those chord is flawless. Great work, friend! It feels like and
Thanks for the comments! Sometimes when you use just loops It's hard to get that Jazz expression and feel to a
song -glad you got that feeling. Comments Appreciated! Filaofsoul
Thanks for stopping by and taking a listen! I got hit once myself. But I also kept the Hope in there with the driving drum pattern that never gives up! Again I hope no one has to experience this painful segment of life. Take Care! Fila
Ok, so wrote a comment under my other Looperman page, ScottFranco, but listened to it again while signed in under this page, so I had to tell you again....This is great!
Hey Man thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. Was trying to use the proper instruments to get that painful reflection and hope. Glad you enjoyed and I will make the next one a more positive note!! and Funky!! Take care! Appreciated and Thanks again Fila!
I'm browsing the tracks on this site looking for something decent to listen to and went through about 5 pages. Well, nothing worth while until I came across this little jewel! I love pretty much everything about this track, so can't really pin-point any one thing. Great job!
Hey man glad you kept on flipping dem pages. LOL Glad you enjoyed the tune. I was putting this tune together to try and show some emotion with the instruments. Thanks for taking the time and listen! Appreciated! Filaofsoul
sounds great. can't beat that smooth old school electric piano sound. bass is full of personality. all the solos have great feel. wonderful work. congrats. best regards.
Wonderful. The drum is very funky and works definitely well (fits your description, the love of a mother... even more: a grandmother :-)
Beside the outstanding drums, the bass is perfect: short sentences, but full of wisdom.
An instant classic.
Loved.

Description : Every instrument is performed and recorder live. Piano, double bass, drums.
Instruments Used:
-"WELTMEISTER" upright piano (MADE IN GERMANY in 1938)
-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)
-TAMA Imperial Star + Pearl OMAR HAKIM snare + Various Ziljian cymbals.
I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : This is track me and my friend (great jazz, blues musician) done
around this great vocal we acquired.
Lot of hours in it.
I had great fun making it!
Hope you people like it.
Love and peace.
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?
