Noting, Static's point at :15 Are there toms playing along side the bass? Might be the cause for muddle.

DANG DUDE. Your stuff has spiked sharply in quality. No joke. You're getting closer and closer to radio quality. Such a massive (and pleasant) difference from your older work! Towards the later part of the song, it feels a bit unbalanced in volumes on the left and right sides, at least to my ears. Overall, A+ for your improvement! Keep it up. You're seriously improving by leaps and bounds!

Hey Brado,

Thanks for the compliments, I think I enjoy the mixing and mastering stage of the recording process the most now that I am trying to get better at it. I noticed that muddle as well, I mixed this song completely on my Sony MDR 7506's, I haven't has chance to listen on my monitors yet, I keep them in the studio that I put in at my school. I am having trouble finding the right eq move on those headphones since they are not overly bass heavy. Thanks again, I appreciate it immensely.

Ahhhh, that sax was awesome! I think I have a soft spot for saxophone. Keep it up, this was a groovy tune that I enjoyed listening to :) That "Mama Mia" vocal was a neat addition as well.

Really glad you like it, Brado. Dan is a regular member and plays on most of our tracks, so you will hear more of his sax in the future.

Dang! I'm really blown away by this one! You've come a heck of a long way in the past year! This one sounds so much better production-wise than some of your old stuff. Your voice in particular sounds much more professional. The only thing I notice is a lack of bass presence, but besides that, the mix is great and everything sounds wide and clear. Great work and epic improvement!

Thanks Brado, I have really tried to concentrate on the production side of my track. I used to just record and move a few faders and be done, now I actually try to eq things, add compression and what not. I am glad you are hearing a difference, I must actually be learning something :), anyway thanks for stopping by and having a listen.

Hey, this one sounds quite professional. The music is on-point and is mixed/EQ'd well. The vocals at times are a bit off on a few stanzas, and affect the smoothness of the flow overall (breaks the immersion for a bit) but can easily be fixed. Overall, a very good job and I enjoyed the listen. Great work!

thank you for taking the time to shoot some feedback on more than just one occassion.. my engineer is a student of the game so he'll get better at it but i also think he did a pretty damn good job with what he had to work with.

thank you for bringing up the technical points that are important to a song !

i've also checked out your songs many times before and i hope to work with you in the near future.

keep on keeping on... 1 LOVE !!

I think it sounds sharp. Those intro guitars had me hooked all the way through! An experimental track indeed, but flows smoothly and has a unique energy behind it. Great work.

I like the music and the singing. What DAW do you use? The only thing was it was a bit quiet, but I don't mind raising my volume know a bit :)

Hello Brado...

Thanks so much for stopping by and listening to the track. I use Studio One. I lowered (I suppose too much...haha) during the mixdown for fear of clipping. If the overall volume is what you are referring to, that's easy for a novice like me to fix.

Love & Light,

on Reject - K19 ft Steklo by deopi
Wow, this sounds good :) The vocal sounds quite professionally-mixed and the accompanying music is very high-quality and sounds quite good when paired with the rapping voice. I think the only thing is that the chorus could be a tad stronger, either through use of harmonies. Not quite sure, but this song is definitely one of the best in the Electronic genre I've heard on Looperman. Great work.

Thanx a lot for your encouraging comment Brado. I composed some strings for chorus, but i felt it was better without it.
I may try to think about a way to make it stronger.

Thanx again for the listenning and the feedback.

Great song structure. I dig that panning voice in the main segments. The drums feel a bit distant but that is not something I think draws away from the song. If anything, this is perfect for vocals. Great work!

Hey,this one has a groovy beat. The flow may be a bit off but I think overall, you've got talent for singing, even if it appears you're using autotune. I may be wrong, and if I am then take it as a compliment. Nonetheless, the vocals are quite professional-sounding. Great work!

Thank you very much! I personally use autotune for pan-doubling and harmonies to make them sound sharper.

I'm still listening to this, it's that good. I absolutely dig your guitar work. I feel like there could be a tad more bass to add a bit more punch to the overall energy of the song. At least, that's what my gut tells me.

I'm it's Fluffer.

I'll give it more bass. I've never been able to argue with that suggestion.

Thanks BS.
This is not your typical seventies tune though, this one belongs deep in the underground sound and avant garde aprox 1979-80 at least in the pantheon of this type of music. And this one is a fun one to play.

Wow, that size and space.

I must admit I haven't listened to your music in the past as much or as intently as I should have, and listening this makes me wonder what else you've got.

This one is absolutely awesome on the production side. I could totally hear this on the radio. Your stuff is different than what I normally listen to but still madly modern and fresh; I dig madly modern and fresh.

Is that your vocal at the start? So wide and clear. Your production chops are up there with some of the most professional studios I've heard, and I don't say that lightly. You have insane mixing skills.

Your guitar work is spot-on. I could totally imagine more percussion instruments accompanying the song towards the latter half, but dannnnnnnnng this is one driving song. Great work.

Yo yo, Brado. (he asked, holding out a yo-yo)

"listening this makes me wonder what else you've got"

The newer, the better. "Onward" is my oldest on here and it and many other old ones are cringe-worthy to me now. I'd say, disregard the older page of songs and try anything from 26 to 50. I listened to your mash-up of your stuff in chronological order and thought it was a neat idea. Cool ending to that medley of yours, by the way.

"Is that your vocal at the start? So wide and clear."

The vocal is myself. It's three different takes, panned and then a couple where duplicated, then dropped, one to the lower 4th and the other the lower octave,... then blended with reverb and delay on different tracks. There are about six tracks there and none of them have the same thing going on. Vocals are not my strong suit. I don't have the most forceful voice. I'd be great on NPR.

" I could totally imagine more percussion instruments accompanying the song towards the latter half"

I have no other project going at this time, so I may go back in there and add some stuff. I appreciate the suggestion! That is what it's all about. This place and it's users are very helpful. We're lucky to find it.

Hope all is well with you!

Take care.

Hi Brado,

Thanks so much for your comment. Really glad you like it and took time to leave your kind words.

Since I play the drum parts, I'm especially more picky about their sound. I use an Alesis drum kit since it's much easier for recording than my acoustic kit. The sax is actually a VST instrument. I wanted trumpet like the original, but it just didn't sound as good as the sax.

Cheers,
Scott
