Hey lil bro,
Congrats on making red, eh. As for the track, well, you entered the comp so I don't needta say anything about the loop pack they gave out.
As for the rest, lately I've been trying to make my tracks more 'cinematic' (in scope, not sound/style). Messing with video related stuff at school has given me a new perspective on music. Kinda like, something might play cool, but what else? Where does it take the mind's eye when someone listens to it?? Stuff like that!
So I've been experimenting with the way I arrange my compositions in the attempts to trigger something in the listener's mind. So with this I went with a 'flying' theme and tried to capture everything that a person might experience while being in a plane (turbulence, pitching, Jet/cabin ambience, etc). That's kinda why I faded the stuff in and out like that. Glad ya dug it. Later on!
Great song. Great voice. Is this all Looperman loops? If so great job, not many people come here and use all loops and end up with a good track, but occasionally it does.
I would add some strings in the beginning... just a side note, our new kitten just feel in my trashcan haha.. The kick sounds a little hard too. Very dreamy
Cool sounds. I don't like that metallic perc sound in the intro, i think you could replace it with something a little more solid sounding if that makes sense, maybe a wood percussion sound.
I am liking the vocals in the intro. I think the bassline in the second half should be in a different key signature, something a little darker sounding, maybe just a different note sequence. Also I would add some sort of bass in the first half of it.
Trippy, you took that idea for the intro form my track deceptions didnt you? Give it a different feeling for a bit, but then turn it into this awesome psychedelic work. I love the sampling, must have taken forever!
Haha..I don't think so..seeing as I uploaded this track on the 18th of Jan 09 ..and yours was on the 4th of Feb 09..lol..thanks for the kind review anyway Curtis...If I switch to Trance...I'll come over to your place and rip off all your ideas..lol cheers mate :)
I am liking it, though please use a different clap/snap, it is waaaaayyy to overused in my opinion. The kick could be a little louder too, well not necessarily in the low ends, more the mids, where you hear it and all it's bassiness.
The drums could use mastering in my opinion, especially the crash. Haha, never seen this side of you... I'm sure your parents were freaking out while you were making this. The intro doesn't work either to me, just the very intro, I like the sound but it doesn't transition well enough.
Ha this song was such an experiment lol

Ok the intro is awesome, the intro of the intro, could become a great great progressive trance/house beat. Ever heard of John Digweed, check him out definitly, take it in that direction.
i am a huge fan of progressive house...i know who is john digweed...and all of those old skul dj's.thx for review DaMann...i will try to follow the "direction". :).

Great track man, you are just beginning aren't you? I wish I could have started this well. Some pads will give it more depth, and maybe find some ways to work in some of the sounds a little better, a few come in awkwardly.
Thanks a lot man! ill take those comments to heart. Which sounds do you think came in a bit weirdly? perhaps some of the synths? i think i should of used a diffrent synth, or given it more attack really. Well, thanks a lot for the review!
I agree with Eshar, great chill going on, though when you got to those really fast arpeggio notes it didn't sounds too good to me. Goes into a really psychedelic trip with all that sliding near the end and I love it!
D,
Thanks for the props. Yes I tend to get carried away on the guitar picking once in awhile. Others have mentioned this as well. I gotta lay off the coffee...Thanks D.

I like those chords a lot.
I am not liking all the fading in and out of drums and when those chords fade in and out.
I like the drum beat though
Great track!
