on Lance Johnson the Surfer by Planetjazzbass

The drum work is pretty great in the beggining, the bass is ridiculous on my sub woofer. Great samples, maybe run a few of them through a low pass filter? A little repetitive too.

Great track!

Hey mate ...thanks for bringing that up!..I admit on completion I felt the same way...you know how it is when a Team's ahead in a game ..and they take their foot off the pedal a bit....I'll definitely do better next time...thank you for bringing this up..no more falling asleep at the wheel!..cheers :)

This track is awesome, could so be in a movie, classic sounding, and is that a guitar for the lead? BUT IT'S TOO SHORT!

on Inside Your Mind........ by Salkizar

The beginning sounds great, better than the usual house song, most are so bland.

on Where you are by DJVO

I really love the bassline and I am trying to figure out right now how to get one like that... Any suggestions?

Great track!

you need an acid sound, and play it double on each kick

on Code Geass by Avail

Plenty of bass, or apparently the perfect frequency to shake my cabinet like hell. The bells are pretty cool. No lead melody ever drops, if you can't think of one, you could use an arp, pretty easy. Those notes around 3:40 could be the basis of your arp, built it around them, but with a different shorter sound.

Thanks for the review mann, i will take a look

on Silence ( Hardstyle Edit ) by Xcode

Intro is creepy eerie. But a little bit long, cut it back about 20 seconds. The track seems long for hardstyle, I guess it's different if you are stomping or shuffling though. Really cool synth. The whole song is a little repetitive, make it shorter.

Great track!

on Don't Get Me Down by Stuki

Intro is cool, what is it saying? Transitions smoothly between dnb and hip hop.

Great track!

-DaMann

Stuki replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Thanks for the reply, much apreciated.

The intro voice is saying "This one is for Wanos". It's reffering to the nickname of my brother Wayne, who it's dedicated to. :)

For DnB you don't want to use the kick as much as you do, it interferes with the bass, I use 2 kicks per measure most of the time, and like every fourth measure will have 3 or 4. I like the bass a lot, something different, reminds me of Saint Germain.

Great Track!

on ENTRANCED by OmegaH32

I don't really like the layering of kicks in the beginning to much, I would say have both, or just one, not switching them out. Maybe use a snare or something in it's place. The intro is too long and repetitive, but its not its final mix, I see a bunch of potential in this though.

-DaMann

OmegaH32 replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Yes you've said it all...and you're right 'bout that.As it is the raw setup of the track, i still
appreciate input and ideas to get to a finished product. So thank you very much for your review

on ClubStorm by Niclas199

Great track, catchy riff, I am not a big fan of that bass, too plucky sounding for me if you know what I mean. The FX you used in the beginning has been overused, I think it's an FL preset.

Great track!

Awesome, glitchy, scary. Great name! I like how you use the hip hop snare roll with this.

Great bass, great beats, I think some little vocal samples with distortion would be good too.

on Fear is the only Darkness by ChiefJustice

The intro is pretty cool. Your reese bass could have a little more bass in it, just eq it. Interesting beats, in a good way, sounds like you panned them really well, the bass beat is really repetitive, mix it up. Kick snare kick snare kick snare kick kick snare... =D

Great track!

on default by pace

Did you record this, is it someone else, or is it you, because it says a clip from last night, just kind of confuses me. It is good music indeed, but against rules to put other people stuff. Well if this is yours you have a very good but beat, just need a song around it =D!

on Jump For Your Life by lankybastardbear

The intro is a little long I would say, and the FX that go along with the claps don't quite match, good ideas though, but there is no lead, so it makes it sound very repetitive.

on The fall by Mcdahate

A cross between gabber, speedcore, and breakcore and classified as trance, got to be awesome! I really like the sampling in the intro, but I think you overdo it a bit much. Your kicks aren't quite right, they sound filtered and not near loud enough. With a little work this could be a really great track.

on Underworld by sensationdj

I really like 0:15 or so with that fading echo. This track sounds a lot like DJ Tiesto, his style, whatever style you call it.

on synergy comp-"Planetary Bombardment" by Gsusfrk

The intro is awesome really chill, but I feel an assault of drums and bass coming in a few moments. Those pads add a lot to it. There energy never really drops like I expected, but still a really good track! Keeps changing and keeps me interested.

Great track!

-DaMann

Gsusfrk replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Yah man, wicked review thanks a bunch! Drum n Bass' Bass can be hard to perfect...I think I made at least 6 different basses before this one actually fit (to me that is). Pad was difficult too, but only 1 thor synth, so it was simple :)
Just goes to show what a little persevierance and determination with patience and a good ear can get you :P
Thanks again
Steve

on Ode to Arapaho by Spivkurl

That tapping is great, is there a way you could get seperate loops and upload them to the site, I'm sure there would be many people interested in them.

Great track!

-DaMann

Spivkurl replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

I think I will make that my next loop project then. I just uploaded some other glitch loops from the same computron session as well, but they wouldn't be validated yet. Thanks for the good feedback.

Edit - I think with this track I'll be settling for uploading loops made with the soundset, and not the loops for the actual song. If anyone want's to remix though, I would provide them in uncompressed wav's. Hit me up.

The intro is awesome! Livid keeps telling me that you are a musical genius, me and you are two of a kind then :D! There is a little bit of static in the mix to answer your drum level question.
The guitars are awesome!

on Meshugaat by ToxicVoltage

Really interesting, at around 0:45 sounds too cluttered really. That claps are pretty cool. Maybe at one part you could get rid of those keys and get a wobble lead.

Great job!

-DaMann

ToxicVoltage replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Yeah, i think it wouldn't sound so cluttered if the piano sounded a bit softer, and thanks alot for the review!

I tried my best
like i said before im not all that good with hip hop

I really like the piano, and that acoustic guitar with that funky metallic sliding sound. Whatever effect you are using on the vocals sounds really cool, flanger?

Great track!
