I had a chance to listen to your other 2 or 3 longer techno/trance/house sets like this so far and I really like this one too. Probably I said it before but the funky bassline you've used in the first song here reminds me a bit of LFO - LFO and older stuff - I do not listen to music like this anymore but electro was always somewhere around. Maybe your track is just more chilled when compared to the raw 90's sound-image. Anyway good choice and combination of these loops.
Overall very enjoyable production. Alex
hi, this is very cool. vocals are sweet but I really do not like this autotune effect added to the most of her accapellas.
anyway I really enjoyed your work. congrats, Alex
hi, very nice work.
vocals are placed a bit too far for me though. Probably you will need also take off some of the huge reverbs.
Overall very cool vision - the instrumental will need a bit more work. I can help you with that if you are available for collaboration of course.
I don't have the chance to hear music like this on this site very often so I really appreciate your track. Alex
nice blues-jazz. do you play sax or guitar in here? Anyway it is quite nicely put together. Bassline sounds like from a blues-jazz play-along backing track - very useful for practicing.
Overall enjoyable track, Alex
hi Orlando,
really nice music with some melancholic or nostalgic flavour - this sax sounds really folk-like.
I like Tumbleweed's guitar in here it fits nicely.
Your piano playing is very fine as well.
Really good song and I enjoyed the production. Alex
Yeah, indeed this piece offers some mixed feelings which miraculously don't conflict with each other, but form a sort of harmonic contrast whatever that might be.:) Ed's guitar is ofcourse the class of it's own and is beyond any doubt the highlight of this track, although I'm a bit disappointed with my piano playing...I think I had much better moments on some previous works. Maybe this is because I was focusing on sax this time.
Anyways, thanks alot for the positive feedback!:)
hi again - just wanted to hear some of your older work and this is a great track! It seems like it's very simple dance/electronic/chip tune(?) but it is made with lot of attention to the production details and that's what I really enjoy here. Very fine listening experience - I do not know if I can hear properly the lower sub-bass frequencies on my speakers but it is for sure the most powerful element of this song.
Maybe I will check out your album as well if still available.
I hope I will be able to release also full collections of my music in the future.
Best to you, Alex
Thank you Alex for the comment on an older song of mine! It does have a bit of low end in this track, but probably not as much as you would think. I wanted to impart a bit of a ska type of feel in this one. I think I've come a long way since this one. Thanks again!
overall the track sounds more like dance/electronic than really dubstep to me. I like that section from 2:10 - very cool atmosphere.
The entire composition seems a bit complicated and glitchy but I like that. really good work. Alex
nice work. I like the piano and drums cause they are loops. Nice strings, synths and whatnot you've added. Funky bass was really good choice as well.
I enjoyed the production. Alex
hi.
very cool intro. too bad you leave that 'dark ambient' atmosphere (which could be developed into an another cool track for sure) - the 'main body' it very 'jazz': the trumpet reminds even miles davis recordings at parts, at least as far as I am familiar with his recordings...
Anyway it all sound very smooth overall; maybe too much 'punch' on drums for me - I do not like it but the composition is very fine.
I do not think that bass guitar here sounds really like a 'bassline'. More 'abstract' and 'sound-image' than really constructive lines but still it works. You could fade out that track but explosion was a nice choice as well - why not?
I can hear some eastern flavours and a motorycle (a plain?) passing by (1:30) - the 'cinematic' element of this track.
very nice track. Alex
hi, I like the first part which reminds me somehow of an old disco/electronic music. The dubstep elements you've added make it sound quite dark and unsettling. More contemporary.
Your soundcloud link seems like it doesn't work.
Overall it's quite unusual composition but really nice. I enjoyed the vocals as well.
Alex
nice work on interesting acapella. I remember listening to some other song with her vocals the other day and I really liked it. Your version is very nice too - my only suggestion here is that you could fade it out or at least end properly in a conventional way. Overall I enjoyed it. Alex
hi, the tone of your guitar reminds me of jaco pastorius, even some licks sound familiar to me. just nice improvisation without any pre-defined structure or changes but definitely I'd say this is a 4/4 feel or whatever.
Anyway very nice abstract programmed synth sound texture and some cool free improv.
I will check out more of your tracks for sure. this one was really nice. Greetings, Alex
hi, I recognize the vocal samples from the kronstudios production - very cool arrangement!. great guitars. I enjoyed the sax and the rhythm section as well. very nice track. Alex
hi soundhound, very nice remix but you should put the correct name of the artist in the title.
nice and funky guitars anyway.
I thought you might also consider putting 'feat. soundhound' when adding only guitars to the original track without editing it's structure but this is still my personal preference.
nice guitar playing and bass synth sound - I enjoyed it! Alex
aaaa...Forgot the E on His name, a type-O thanks for the Call...
Yea...Well it's his track, I just added to it so as far as I can see
the track, is still the Feature not the fact that I played on it...
Ain't nothing but some Good Music to me...
hey Ookami,
You did really great job with programming the piano here. However the natural dynamic and flow of the piano playing was lost but still it is nice just as a midi-music.
This song is really nice with all these polyphonic textures going on. Very good choice adding long reverbs.
I enjoyed it. Alex
Thanks Alex. My intention was to have it identical to the original, with piano sounding vsts only. I recommend checking out the original then mine again. Thanks again!
hi, I like the first 48 seconds of it - very cool strings and fast drum groove. I thought someone could take it and write the entire song only from this material.
Very fine sound image on these 48 seconds - it reminded me of some classical, so called 'minimal-music' works from Steve Reich or John Adams and like. The other interesting thing I noticed when listening again and again to your tracks is that there's not so much of longer melodic phrasing (ok, from 4:00 - 4:45 in here, quite long though). it's maybe only my personal preference to have more interesting melodic lines and things like that of course.
But still you've made everything yourself and this is very impressive.
Anyway this song is really cool just like your other songs.
I enjoyed it. Alex
Hi. I totally agree that someone could make a whole track out of the first 48 seconds. I love those strings. Quite exciting and some good tension that gets released as the hi hat builds things up and then the big drumkit and bassline come in.
Maybe you remember that I said this track was one of a 3-parter, the other two being Three Miles Late and Right Place Wrong Century. All three have that same string instrument in them but they’re used differently in each track. So, the first 48 seconds here are the new set of ideas and presentation of that string instrument. I could have made it much longer but chose not to as I had so much other stuff to progress into.
I do bring the strings back at different points but I appreciate that that is completely different from doing a whole minimal string track like Steve Reich. But I don’t really make that sort of music. Maybe one day but for now I love my drums and fat grooves and guitar and big basslines.
“there's not so much of longer melodic phrasing”
I really don’t understand what that means and I’ve tried hard. But I will say that I think there’s a lot of very melodic stuff in all my tracks. Guitar parts you can sing along to and different, interesting melodies played across lots of instruments. I’m not sure what a long melodic phrase is.
So, I also don’t understand what I’m doing that’s different for you 4:00 - 4:45.
“you've made everything yourself”
Yes, that’s true of almost all my tracks. Very, very few samples in my stuff, apart from programmed acoustic drum kits but I view them just the same as synth presets. They’re building blocks that you then work with as you choose. After all, I also don’t build my own guitars. They’re kind of like a preset!
I really think this is one of my most special tracks and I’m surprised when I listen back to it just how much there is going on. Exciting throughout and I’m really pleased with pretty much all the transitions. They feel quite natural though, in some cases, that took a lot of work.
Thanks again.
hi again, this music sounds quite interesting to me. I mean... the way you combine all the loops. I like it from 2:05 when soloing starts. I am not a fan of cinematic tracks but I really like the melodic elements you've added here.
Alex
Thanks so you want make a remix ? don't need to be DnB I will today make every loops of my music so you will be able to do some mix also i will prepare a .zip file with all the melodies in midi for you.
cool beat - very chill and funky I like that!
about 0:22 mark your vocals reminded me of 'Neon Valley Street' by Janelle Monae from the album 'Archandroid'.
very nice work, alex
wow! great and powerful introduction. it starts for me from 1:09. really clever work but still feels like a teaser. I want more!
or at least a proper ending
incredible dnb here
Thanks alot for the feedback Promenade, and yea. It is just a teaser, I like to tease sometimes. This will be about 6 or 8 minutes when I'm done. At first I was going to make it 5 minutes but I have a few old tracks that are longer. I've decided on patience for this track. Going to really push my limits. The wait will be worth it, glad you enjoyed my progress! peace

My music has a tendency to be very complicated, I like nasty breakdowns, builds, and crazy effects.
So I'm glad that someone other than me likes complicated. FT
