Description : A deep house/90's dance song with vocals from KnowKontrol and loops by WongKiShoo & Weazel Beats. The main inspiration for this song was definitely the Route 94 remix of 'Always' by MK ft. Alana, and I think I captured that aspect quite well. I REAALLLY hope you like it :)

Very enjoyable tune here! Like TheHumps, some of this reminded me of Depeche Mode, which is cool as they are one of my faves. Could definitely shine brighter with some adjustments in the mix, but it sounds very cool as is. I'm thinking that some more atmosphere could really spice up the track, like either some ambient sounds in the background or some effects added like reverb or delays. All in all I liked the song a lot!

Hi. That's a really classic synth house organ riff. I guess it's a loop. In fact, it's so classic, I was hearing the vocals from a few 90s tracks in my head as I listened, especially Show Me Love by Robin S.

Now that is a hell of a tune. Big classic smash hit right there.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps2Jc28tQrw

Everything sits pretty tightly in this fairly minimal type of track.

2:10 those vocals are a bit of a surprise but I quite like them. Kind of seductive. Certainly nothing like Show Me Love.

Are you able to hear some of the audio pops in this as one loop moves to the next? Eg 0:07, 2:09, 2:17, 3:41 and no doubt other places though they're masked by the drums on top. You can fix those audio pops.

Overall, a decent 90s house dance track but I guess I would have liked a bit more variation in that classic organ house loop.

P.S. Damn, big congrats if you really are only 11! I had no idea but I totally understand your point about not wanting it to be mentioned. Hey, I'm only 3! Well, not only 3 but there's a 3 in there at the start...

Thank you! I can see what you mean about the Robin S stuff (btw I love the synth used at the intro of Show Me Love), i'm actually a big fan of the 90's Eurodance Era (my favourite is 'Surrender Your Love' by the Nightcrawlers, such an underrated tune, I love the bass on that track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P06Xa80nd8g)

I tried to make the tune as minimal as possible, but yet still something to dance to (e.g My Love by Route 94 & Jess Glynne is very bare and minimal but still very groovy.)

It was really hard to search for a perfect acapella but when I heard KnowKontrol's acapella I was like YES THIS IS PERFECT! I knew that there were going to be complications and the vocals weren't going to be to everyone's taste but I liked it 'cos I'm familiar with KnowKontrol because I have previously used one of his vocals on my track 'Can You Feel Me?' listen to it here: http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/155018

Aaaah, the audio pops. I am aware of this; and hopefully this can be fixed.

Yeah, the main loop came from WongKiShoo, not me! I would've replicated it but honestly, it didn't really work. I could get the sound that I wanted to.

And the fact i'm 11! Ahahah, not many people do know I'm 11. Lol, your in your 30s? Huh!

Sorry if this reply is big, that's just the way it is...

    Thanks for leaving a comment,

Pretty clean sounding mix overall. The kick, like Pete said, is snappy and sounds great here. The break around 2:00 could use some work on the vocals. the vocal sound reminds me of the singer from DePeche Mode, they have a similar tone. Maybe some reverb, more volume or whatever might emphasize that a bit and make it stand out. I agree with others that some work could be done to the vocals to enhance them a bit and make them fit a little easier with the music.

Vocals are a tricky thing to mix, at least I find that to be true. I try different effects depending on the genre, feel and production on the song. I must also agree with the others that for 11 years old you seem to way ahead of the pack, that is impressive!!

    Well done,

    Wayne

Interesting use of slow vocals but I think they don't fit perfectly. I like the concept a lot but the arrangement doesn't work as planned, imho. Overall a better work on the mix would really pump the tune up. I liked the idea, thouhg, keep working on it!

hey, Nice one. I am into a dance electronic mood for a while and think you did very good work here. Vocals are bit strange indeed but they add a very fine colour and nice melodic variety contrasting to repetitive elements.
    Good chill vibes. Alex

    Hey shuckers,

Nice chill track. Man im really jealous about how you do the synthesized music so well and easy. your songs always worth to listen. :)

One thing: I don't like the vocals here, I think they don't fit. Hope you don't mind :)

But the beat is really nice and i think you hit the route 94 theme 100%.

    90's, we are coming :D

Yeah man, nice sublime Deep House. It does bear resemblance to the Route 94 track. Man you got some serious skills for your age, you definitely need to keep at this. Sometime in the near future we will all be telling stories about how influential we were in helping you make it as a big time recording artist!!

    Hey!
I'm not a big deep house fan but still some tracks force me to listen to it! the same with this track, from the moment i've pushed play i couldn't turn it off! nicely done my friend! my head was nodding to the beat! :)

wow ...nice to hear some nice thick drums and a snare/clap that snaps...

not sure about that vocal at 0.45 not sure it fits with the deepness .. it might if it had some kinda reverb or fx on it...to be honest I'm not sure any of the vocals work in it..I might be because they are crisp..ya know?

though I do like the track and the mix down and master how ever rough is well done...

    keep 'em coming brother

great grabber at the front. that is a neat color that you add at 1:20. wondering what that is. like the way you take your time developing and varying your beat in subtle ways. very cool work. congrats!

This is great. Really like the riff you've used and that chopped vocal sounds sweet. There's some nice drops and you've chosen good complimentary loops.
Where did you get the vocal from? it's a nice touch.
Really enjoyed listening to this track.

Hi there, I just listened to a few of your tracks and I'm impressed. Amazing for someone your age. Keep it up cuz you're good at this and you'll only get better. You never learn out where music's involved. I'm in my 50's now and never stop discovering new tricks or beats. I started making music at 10 and believe me you never stop evolving. I look forward to your new songs. Rock on, Tim Terror.

I keep having to remind myself that you are only 11 years old (maybe you turned 12 now). You have a better grasp on music composition than many people who are 2, 3 or 4 times your age. Great mix as well. Nothing to critique here, just a huge amount of respect for you and all that you do. Keep at it - you have a huge future in this business. I hope all is well.

Description : I had this amazing vox: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/5256 and drums by Eos and Mmedia to work with and this is what I came up with.
The acapella is from Porter Robinson and Mat Zo's tune Easy, so technically it's a remix, but I actually heard the original after I made my own song around the vox so it's not similar at all...maybe that's a good thing, I don't know.
But I really did my best with this one and tried to use everything I learned so far while mixing and mastering and I'm actually almost happy with the result.
Work in progress though...the piano comes out in one ear and the vox in the other so something went wrong anyway. =D
Edit: I'm NOT happy at all anymore - hearing all the flaws now...
Feedback will be much appreciated!
