Hello Spiv

Just had the feeling to come back to make and listen to some music. After 2 month of mostly no musical connection at all and posted a track. Then i jumped over to the track list to see what's going on on looperman and saw this one.
Great stuff. In a way it is art. on the other side it's cool music and very well sounding. Your vocals fit very good to your music. For sure a unique style. Lyrics are strong. Nice 80's vibe, so relaxed and at the same time wild and also hypnotic. Did i already say that i like it?

Really good one - respect

stay tuned

Hey Joe, it is good to have you back around, if even for a moment! It was an adventure creating this one, with work on many fronts. It was a good experience to finally do some serious recordings with that new bass. It was also very cathartic to finally sing the lyrics I had been working on for a while. Overall, this seems to be my least popular song for quite some time, and that is not surprising. Thanks for stopping in to hear it and leave your words!

Oh, this is very calm stuff,
but it sounds very good and has a very nice Relaxing effect.
The mix is really well done and the sounds you used are well Chosen.
Always a good Thing to hear different Things from someone.
Cause it is a bit borring if someone stays always in the same genre. So you make every Thing right :)

Nice one.
But for sure you should remove the Auto tune. Ok, i am not a friend of Auto tune at all but in this case it destroys your vocal work really a lot. I bet that all would Sound much better without it :) .....
The Music is very well made and sounds good in my ears. And like others already said, use some more emotions in this Kind of genre. I know that it isn't that easy to do but you should try it :).
Over all this is a nice rnb track and like said bevor, without the Auto tune it would be much much better.

Good work for sure.

Cool one :)
In a way it sounds like you made some -8 bit clasical postpunk in a dreamy cinematic way of electro pop- if that make any sense.
Very wild and very fresh. Also powerfull and uplifting one.
And sure it is wired hypnotic

I enjoyed it all the way from start to the end

great stuff Dan!

Hey, thanks for listening. Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Yeah I didn't use any of the vocals, not because I didn't like them though. It was the last section of this track I started making first and when I tried fleshing it out I found that the vocals just weren't fitting very well so made it an instrumental.

Thanks again! :)

Cool one for sure.
Anywhere between Hardrock Folk and Psychedelic.
Nice calm guitar playing and sound
and also very nice raw vocals.
I wouldn't work to much on this one anymore, cause it sounds in this style pure and right and has a lot of emotions in it.
I really enjoyed the listen!

Always a pleasure to get a review from you. This was a fun track to make.I enjoyed the fluke of finding the right loops to make this a rock tune and put together a cohesive mismatch of loops. My voice was good that day too (I usually mumble and slur my speech. Thanks for listening and commenting. vig

Joecramer, your respect is appreciated, as well as returned in kind! You know you have influenced me since you started visiting Looperman with your songs and your unique vocal work! I have been working really hard on vocal recordings lately, more that anything else. Been trying my best to be at least close to in key, as well as to not need any editing for time after the recording is done. I've also been trying to get used to recording vocals without a blood alcohol level... which I actually was able to do in the more recent song, for the first time in a couple years, from what I remember. Thank you so much for always being there with your words and support!

Great!
This sounds so extreme fresh, like a japanese freaky soundtrack from a cool alternative movie.
Wild vocal work that fits perfect to the sax sound.
I am in love with this melody and the sounds. A bit strange but in a real good way.

Well done!!!!!!!

on jazz of ethereal forest plus bonus track by promenade2239
Hello Alex

To be honest i am not a real fan of Jazz music at all and this one has really a jazzy feeling.
But the track is really well made and sounds real good. All sounds are well chosen and worked out. Also there is a lot of creativity going on and i enjoy things like that a lot. For an improvisation it is very special and well played, but that's nothing special when a track came from your hands :)

I really like the fact that you try out all this different genres and styles. And who knows, maybe the next is in a genre that i prefer more :)

Nice to see you back on looperman with a new track

hello Joe

Thanks a lot for listening and such a kind review! In a way my 'looperman music project' is currently driven by my my want of getting more and more into exploring somewhere deeper all the hardware stuff I have already collected. Same time I am thinking a lot of grabbing more hardware but for the most part my focus in on the classical projects that are currently going on here. I will try to explain it to you as soon as I finish concrete recordings. I will send them to you and will definitely get in touch then.
Basically I am classically trained musician and the 'jazz' factor in my tracks might be just an offshot-result of the music I listened (apart of preffered 'classical' stuff). It's hard to explain until I post the examples of what I do do currently.

Thank you once again for your very kind words and your appreciation of the music I created.
Best to you,
Alex

Hello Darknives
Real cool Hip Hop - Trip Hop tune
Well made and nicely mixed. I really enjoyed the listen.
Much better then the most Hip/Trip Hop instrumentals that arrived here on looperman. And it works great also without any vocals. But i am sure that there will be someone who will do something to/with this special track.

I wouldn't say other instrumentals are not as good, specially cause I'm still so inexperienced at this.
But the thing is, most mainstream hiphop instrumentals made now a day, follow a very bland and defined sound, they sound all the same, it's not really my style, I don't really like it, so I understand you.

Thank you for your comment :)
