I would use this song as an intro and beyond would an analog bass and guitar and then back this number.
That will happen when I have more time ...

on Atlantic drifts by Danke
Hello Danke.

Like mostly, i enjoyed the listen to your music.
Nice calm one. Fine sounds comming from anywhere into my ears and make me feel good. The mix is so fare good cause all sounds nice and clear (at least on my stero system).
The drums fit well and let the music sound modern.

So it is like always a good thing to listen to your track to calm down a bit and get relaxed :)

cool work!

btw - i would love to hear something from you live played things. maybe you can post sometimes anything anywhere and tell me about it?

on Violent Machine by D3RELICT
Hey D3RELICT. This is cool man!

This percussions like drums sounds so 80´s (just 4 me) and they fit so good to the "modern" sound around them.
In a way it makes me feel a bit agressive or lets say a bit sad and that means nothing bad at all, cause it sounds like a question about thinkings and feelings on the modern "thinking" (maybe evil) mashines ......
I enjoyed the listen and i will sure listen to it again when you think you had finished it realy and post it here on looperman.

on My Soul Aint Yours by KrayzieB
Yo man, not bad at all but the mix isnt that good :)

I like the second part much more but it is cause the mix sounds much better on that. The sound of part 1 (i just mean the vocals) is realy not good but i like the way of preforming.
You should do that whole thing again (and again and again) solong that the voice sounds much more clear and without this pops and things that are around. It sounds a little like you recorded it whith loud music on and not with some headphones .... but overall i like the idea behind what i can hear.

whats up joecramer. thanks bro... the second guy on the track is me.. the first is my buddy.. I recorded his first while he was there he was particular about his shit... and thas what he wanted.... the second one was done once (recording I mean) and that's it... plus I do not have any good quality recording equip... I got a 20 year old laptop some shit programs and a Dollarama mic. I actually have to listen to the instrumental on my MP3 player separate from the computer and then mix the vocals.. which takes forever... so really I think its ok with what I got to work with naw mean... id love to get some better equipment or work with someone who does.. like collab over the internet.. record my vox and send it out and get it back with some work done on it...

Hey buddy! Thank you for the listen and comment! I have always been obsessed with things that give a time warp effect in the listener (and also not just within the realm of music, but life and art in general). I have new equipment to work with, so that always encourages me to take new steps in my music. Also working in other mediums such as electronic design and fabric gives me inspiration. As I mentioned in my reply to TheHumps, I may be redoing some parts of this to fix the intonation and adding vocals if I can finish my lyric writing for it. Then it will be even better I think. I thought that this might be one that you would enjoy, as some aspects remind me of late 70's early 80's stuff - like the pitched down snare in parts seemed very dark punk to me, a'la Joy Division/The Cure. Thank you much for your comment!

on Hunting For Gatherers Feat Fya Philly by Philemonster1
Hello Philemonster

Maybe it isn´t a bit unfair but i have to say that this version is so much better then the original one. But that may be only cause i am normaly not a real fan of fusion at all.

With your vocals and the style you preform them, it change realy a lot into something fare diffrent from fusion. (fusion in that way my brain thinks that fusion sounds :) ...)

I dont know into what it chnged realy :)
But i know that it is something cool

good work man

lol!!!NOO BRO-ITS FAIR
Some people only like a production better when they have put vocals on top, maybe its the same thing now,the song doesn't seem "empty" anymore, its speaking..like,im a big admirer of the original beat, but after i did the song...it feels like something is missing when i listen to the dry instrumental lol, wierd but completely alright.
Thanks alot bro, you made me have some good laughs!
Peace.

Nice vst work here.
Realy enjoyed some of the voices you created (used) for this track. All sounds very clear and good in my ears. Maybe the bd could be a bit fatter :)
The first part is a calm chilly one, with a little pop feeling.
The second part is from 5:00 on, very very cool.
I come here to listen what the hell was this
"...then ending in a low end euphoric sound."
I would say thats the best part ...... but thats only me and my opinion

well done Mark

Thanks for you kind words Joe. I started off to have a slow (ish) ambiant feel to it but as usual I slid of track and went up tempo again. The high hat is a bit raspy and I'm making a new one, now with a quieter double time element I've made about 11 presets in massive to get the sound I wanted. As you know its a lot of work to get someones foot tapping. But its comments like this make all the hard work worth while.

Thanks Joe...Mark

Hey Alex.
I just wanted to tell you that i have almost all my midi/asio/usb driver/zoom soundcard/win8.1/microphone/onboard sound/mixer/daw settings AND ground problens reduced to zero.

If i was good in playing AND useing knobs with the mouse at the same time, i could do that now without any latency at all.

But you are right, when you said that equipment isnt all. I know people who have realy realy realy realy good stuff and i can´t enjoy any of there music at all and others only use an old children guitar and make unbelievebel music ......

Thanks for your help offering, dont needed it jet but maybe someday .....

I wished my equipment would be at least so good, that i could play AND listen to the sound at the same time :) ..... I have so big latenz problems here, that i MUST play in midi piano and then use the vst :) ......

This track sounds so cool and in a way like free playing all the time. You use this vst very well and you made a few funny sounds with it. I like that :)

Overall it is a cool, calm and realxing number with nice things in the background.

Nice work Alex

Thank you Joe for nice comment!

I had the same midi latency problems as well. Asio driver helps a lot

www.asio4all.com

www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/installing-and-using-asio4all-for-windows/

It is not the matter of the quality of equipment at all - I am using only and old laptop and simple midi keyboard. Any sophisticated and costly equipment.

I figured out from your profile that you're using Magix MM. This might be useful:

www.magix.info/uk/how-to-solve-latency-problem.online-training.130215.html click the PDF to download.

Still I do not know what is the actual problem but I hope some of this will help.

I spent on this track over 4 hours (in 2 sessions), the reason why it sounds good is that I am actually a trained keyboard player and am familiar with the acoustic instruments. MrRay22 is an emulation of 70's electric pianos as Fender Rhodes, the Wurlitzer EP and the Yamaha DX7 FM. So basically I tried to play the plugin with appropriate keyboard touch as if it was a real instrument. I had to quantize many notes (as always). Also I used a lot of EQ effect and some Stereo Enhancer to get nice tone of the recording. I had some serious problems with laptop stability and with the plugin itself so this was not so easy to make eventhough it sounded easy at the end.

Good luck and please write me more detailed message if you still will have problems with midi.

Best to you, Alex

Yo, thats a cool retro sounding one.
It has almost from all something that i listen to in the 80´s.
And it has a nice tempo.
Very wild things comes around and in a way it is like something in a minimal style. But it isnt real minimalistic, maybe more a kind of -minimal bombastic-
The vocals sounds cool to the music in the way you preform them.

Real cool one Spivkurl!

Hey Joe, you've made me happy with your words yet again! 80s music has always been one of my big influences, I'm sure mostly because It was my childhood. I used to have a real bad attitude about what some of the new wave, goth and punk bands ended up doing in the mid 80s, but at this point I'm really beginning to understand where they were coming from. There was a lot of new options in music, and they were giving it a try. I think that's where I'm at right now as well. Trying new things, opening new doors, experiencing what this time has to offer musically. It was pretty painful to record these vocals, but at the same time, very healing. I like the "minimal bombastic" reference, could be a good name for a record label or something. Appreciate you taking a listen!
