Man, i really dig where you are coming from. I can tell we like some of the same artists. I love this track. I have a few tracks half done, unfinished, whatever with a similar idea. You get a good sound out of audiotool. I've heard of it but never used it or tried it out.
Man, this is messed up. As in the awesome way! I have no idea what you envisioned making this track. Maybe nothing more than putting sounds together. Maybe you tried to paint some picture (thats what I always try with my music. then let it go and people hear or picture in their mind whatever they feel)
So what scares me is I totally had a vision with the song. Some person hectically getting ready for the day, rushing outta the house, then getting on a subway, sitting alone with his thoughts as the the rush of people come in and out, bumping into one another, everyone scrambling along in their day, till the person finally gets off the subway and the dreary mundane walk to the office that ends slumped in an office chair after yet another morning in the rat race.
Other than that, I dont have any comments on the track...
Your half right! I make my music like abstract art. Some people see it and can reflect to it, and some don't. Everyone see it differently as well. Me? I pictured it as... well... abstract art! Its unique to me
Dude, you gotta be kidding me? This is awesome! When I saw the thread that you covered Clones, I was pumped to hear it. This is my favorite Alice Cooper song. Cooper fans might shake their heads at that, but the song is so weird and different than other Cooper songs.
Damn rites you did it justice. I might be biased because of how much i like the original but I faved anyway.
Cool track. I wouldn't even know where to start to describe this track. The intro sounds so different than the rest of the song. Threw me off. Good job. I enjoyed it. And from a fellow Canuck!
Cool track. I wouldn't know where to place it either. I love the straight running bassline. im all over that. cool sounds tripping in out. kinda spacy so good title.
Haha, hell yes! 3 mins of joy. My ears thank you. Saw the Hip Hop tag but pressed play anyway. Hip Hop is not my thing, but this track is...whatever it is. I faved.
genre tags are restrictive... but I understand the need for them, its just unfortunate for some fool doing like I do...
I mean what do you call that?
well it's a hip hop type syncopated drum pattern sooooo...
Dude, you got a good song here. It just sounds like it's buried in a rough track. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it. I really liked it. It just seems like it needs some work on the final production to get the most out of it. I'm still trying to nail down the mixing/mastering part myself. If it was easy, everyone would have pro sounding tracks.
Work on the final mix some more or maybe give the stems to someone who is willing to remix it for you. That's just my opinion.
Cool track man! The reggae style works perfectly. The music sounds great, very enjoyable but I really like the vocals. The vocals really make this song.
Cool intro but then the bass kicks you in the face! haha The tempo can't be downplayed IMO. It's the pace that holds everything together. You seem to have a knack that I like. I can't describe it except maybe 'less is more'? If that makes sense? Kinda like, let the song play out rather than what can I jam in here. But that's what you'd expect a guy that's into minimal wave to say, haha. Not that this is minimal wave of course :)

Hey friend, thanks for stopping by to listen! I agree fully that the tempo was instrumental in getting this song to feel right. I have been known to jam a lot into my tracks at times, but I've been trying to focus on instruments that matter, and go from there. I appreciate the positive support! There's really very few styles of music (especially electronic music) that I don't enjoy, but yes I've been loving minimal lately. Thanks very much!
Good sound as usual. U had me from the start. You could of expanded the 1st part the whole way for my liking :) Up my alley.
I was singing 'Pump up the jam, pump it up
While your feet are stompin'
And the jam is pumpin'
Look at here the crowd is jumpin' over the 1st part and it fit perfect...hell yeah!
Yeah, I noticed after I made my comments that you recorded it on a Blue Snowball. That explains it. I thought you used a DAW, thats why I couldnt understand why it sounded like that.
But like i said, the song is actually very cool. Would like to hear it in a decent recording.
Cool song. It reminds me of an 80's rock ballad. Something like the Scorpions would put out. The vocals sound good. My only problem with the song is it sounds linear. Since there is no intro, the only time I really noticed a change was the break going into the guitar solo (which sounded great btw!)
And, in my opinion, this song really needs the drums to fill it out. A roll here and a buildup there would be huge to making this song awesome.
But these are just the way I hear things. I could be way off base as to what you were going after. Wouldn't be the first time :)
I just did the guitar My03 / My05 did all the arranging and composition stuff. I just added the Rhythm guitars and the lead. I really do not like to commenting on other peoples writing, he just reached out to me and asked if I would do some kick butt guitars for it. My honest opinion the drums sound good but could be better. Thanks for the positive feedback on my guitar playing and commenting in general.
Man, this is too fun! Luv it. Sometimes on looperman I've heard good songs with the sound needing work or great sound but not really a song I enjoy. This is laid out perfectly.
Good track. It seems you've based it on a straight forward groove with a simple beat with lots of stuff going on in and around it. It has a mellow edge to it too with the sax or whatever that is, which is cool.
I really like this. It's up my alley. Less is more if you can get a groove on. And you resisted the dubstep drum buildup...good for you! haha
Love the melodies. Easy listening track with some soul. I look forward to your tunes Mosaic. I never know what to expect (which is part of the fun) and I've enjoyed them all so far.
On the technical side, I would of liked to hear the drums a little more up front. Especially the snare. A nice crisp snare sounds great in pop songs like this. And the bass seems a little low too. This could of been exactly how you wanted them to sit in the mix. That's fine too. Just my preference if I was mixing it.
Thank you so much for the review and feedback, very pleased you enjoyed the piece, tried lifting beat up but over powered the vocals so dropped it back to where it is now, settle on these levels to keep with the vibe of the track, we agree levels sounded okies as is, when I sent back to the guys to listen too before uploading here, sadly beat and snare are in one so cant adjust them, as you said it is still okies, wanted to keep the relax feel and vibe to the track, please to give you a pleasant surprise when you come here mate, have a few different ones waiting just around the corner, they even surprised myself lol...Peace n much Respect Renz...Take care dude...Mosaic...
