Description : hi guys, so the object here was to write an original Christmas track that has all the Christmas trimmings but also brings home a few stark reminders, things that you don't necessarily think about as you selfishly open your presents with your families, i would describe it as a modern day festive treat, it has nods to the old, and the true meaning of Christmas, this is so not what you'd expect from dime, lol, tbf Im gassed about it :)

The vocal part is very well sung and "catchy". Maybe a more "hooking" chorus would be needed to make this a chart-hit, but it is still better than most of the things we heard in the EuroVisionSongContest this year... way better.
Outstanding guitar work: love the sound, love the solo, love this half-palm-muted rhythm. Simply perfect.
Actually your guitar part is so well done that it deserves a couple of questions:
- guitar used? (I assume something in the direction of a strato on bridge+middle position, but I may be completely off)
- amp? emulator? it really sounds sweet... (it reminds me a bit of the rocktron sound ... very 80s, a bit "Eddie-sh")

The guitar is a 1980 Fender Stratocaster. Modified with a Kalher locking tremolo, seymourduncan Hot rails stacked humbucking picks up in the bridge and the others are seymourduncan strat humbuckers. I did not want to cut the body since it is a classic. The neck is the original one, I do need a fret job. :-) The amp is Amplitube and also Guitar rig. I use a Focus rite Pro 40 and DI to it. I can get some really killer sounds from it.
I do appreciate your commenting on my playing. yes I have leaned more toward Eddie and trying to add his playing style to mine. He was such a great player since Hexdrix died. He has a very original sound. Some of his riffs not all. Since then I would just be a copy cat.
I do not allow downloads since this is original maternal of ours and is owned but us.

And, in my opinion, this song really needs the drums to fill it out. A roll here and a buildup there would be huge to making this song awesome.
But these are just the way I hear things. I could be way off base as to what you were going after. Wouldn't be the first time :)

I just did the guitar My03 / My05 did all the arranging and composition stuff. I just added the Rhythm guitars and the lead. I really do not like to commenting on other peoples writing, he just reached out to me and asked if I would do some kick butt guitars for it. My honest opinion the drums sound good but could be better. Thanks for the positive feedback on my guitar playing and commenting in general.
