Well, the song actually rocks. The vocals don't sound too bad but the actual melody and chorus are great. I can hear a catchy song there. Nice length too.
But the recording is horrible. I know it's punk so I'm not expecting perfection, but the audio almost kills the song.
Like I mentioned earlier, the vocals aren't bad. But pretty much everything else is.
This song really kicks. If it had a cleaner sound (again, not talking commercial pop) it would be one of my favs.
Having said all that, if this is exactly how you meant it to sound, then ignore my comments :)
This is fun to listen to. I'm noticing that's the case with your tracks FR. Reading some of your replies, I gather this is more of an experimenting demo as you try to get a handle on your Harmour synth. It sounds good though.
And get a handle on this synth quickly cause I'm looking forward to remixing a song of yours when you put together a kit! :)
You're right. This was my first attempt with harmor and i only used the presets (still haven't got a scooby do what i'm doing with it yet but hopefully one day the penny will drop)
Anyway Renz, cheers for dropping in and commenting. The fact that some people enjoy it is the reason i do it.
Take it easy,
FR
Cool track. Great atmosphere you set up with the melodic background throughout, compliments the question of peace nicely. But the drums are there keeping pace not allowing the listener to get to chill. Nice contrast. I don't know if D&B is set that way or that's your stamp on it. Either way, it sounds great.
Btw, as I was listening, I was thinking what a cool sample you took of Christopher Walken and wondering what movie it might of been from before I read your description. haha
Matey thank you for stopping by and reviewing this one, yep wanted the 2 contrasts been beat and flute etc, to give the feeling of possible peace, if that makes sense, lol had to go Google Christopher Walken as never heard of him, don't watch many film's or TV so had no idea, now I know who he is....many thanks again...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
If you guys were looking to hit emotional notes and not just musical ones, you succeeded. Not many times do I want to replay a 5+ minute tune right after it ends but that's what I did. Some talented musicianship right there.
I'm still getting to know who's who at looperman but you are definitely someone I will be seeking out whenever you release something Orlando.
Thank you very much my new friend! I know what you mean about the vibe, when it's gone before you fully realize what it's done to you. I kind of like that about this version too, but I do think I'm going to add some simple touches to make it better, after reading the responses here. It's good to hear from you, appreciated!
Yes, another Nightr8 remix! This sounds like the Spivkurl/RenzWilde remix...ha, kidding.
Love the edits and the chops. There are so many of these, I'm trying to recall them but I think this is my fave. I'll have to go back and listen to the other 40 to confirm that though :)
Joking aside, this is fun and easy to listen to. Good work.
fun and easy is how I hear it too. Im happy with this comment coming from you, especially cause I really enjoyed your interpretation of Spivkurl sounds.
take care
Hey, I like the sounds you got going and the quality seems fine to me. My only criticism is that running bass line doesn't seem like it belongs. It takes over everything. Don't get me wrong, the bass line is catchy but it seems like it deserves it's own song. It seems to clash with the other things you got going on.
But if that's exactly what you were going for, then it's fine. I'm probably missing the whole point. It wouldn't be the first time, haha.
It was the intention to let the bass take over but not too much. I think it's just fine like this but it's good to hear that you think differently about that. Something I'll keep in mind for sure so, thnx.
btw...I'm also missing the point sometimes like we all do...lol.
Thnx again for listening and the feedback, it means a lot to me!
Haha, just kidding. This rocks! Repetitive, loud that doesn't let go, thats what I like. The opening riffs made me wonder where this track is going then after that cool break at 1:08 I found out....it's not going anywhere, you're already here man!! Love it!
The one thing that I would of liked was for a bass drum to be kicking me in the face to go along with everything else. Maybe that's just me but that might of sounded cool with this track since it's a blend of genres (kinda metal meets house)
Did you get Michael Schenker to do the lead guitar? haha
I faved this, great work!
Thanks Mate ,sorry for late answer.
Michael Schenker was in Holidays but his Brother Rudolf, met him at the Fledermaus in Hannover, made his Job:))haha
The opening Riffs ,you wonder, do what they should do, they confuse and surprise the listener and create a pleasant atmosphere in specially Destero vibe. ;)
Ok no Kidding,Thanks for turning in nice review.
Have a nice Day,Dro
Great remix! To me, the track takes off at 2:26 and holds me.
You worked the guitar in flawlessly...I couldn't work it in without it just sounding added but yours is out front and alive! Props!
Hey, thanks for listening to my version too! It was slowed down a little bit so I think the combination of the tempo change and the warping in ableton made it work quite well! Take it easy!
OMG, luv this! I have my xbox but I LUV my Nintendo. I get so into sometimes I don't touch my xbox for weeks, haha.
This sounds like I left the game running while I go take a pee and I can hear the game from the bathroom...dont worry, thats a compliment! :)
Im into synthwave, synthpop at the moment but I def want to give this a try one day. Great work! I faved.
Wow, love the vibe. The track took me different places which is what I like. When a track doesn't grab hold of me I find myself going straight to listening to the technical side of it. I just grooved away here. I never thought of remixing anyone's tunes(too busy learning and trying to get my own ideas to sound good) but I'd love to give this one a shot. You'd be my first! (*/∇\*)
I appreciate the positive feedback very much! I'm happy it got you groovin, I guess that's what electro should do. Have fun with the remixing, and don't feel any pressure from me. It's all in fun, and for the love of music. It would be an honor to be part of your first remix. Thanks much!
I know I'm horrible at describing what I hear but I love the straight forward beat/chord progression throughout. It sounds like Yazoo released a new single (┌・。・)┌

My fav part is 2:35 to 3:11. After the cool heavy drum beat, it sounds like it goes into a 70's TV cop drama theme. Excellent.
If you're into 70s TV drama styles, check out 'Spies Like Us' on my page. It was created just for that genre.
Cheers,
